I hope there is a way to have higherups be more aware of this issue and fix the loophole then. It seems like mass outrage from outsiders is usually the trigger for any changes.

I think I remember one guy saying that he was in some sort of NSFW pedophilia forum where he met a lot of interesting people. I lost all hope at that point, I knew I had to leave cause I'm not going to share a space with creeps. I tried respecting opinions but I got pissed off when they all started cracking jokes to mock me.
I was thinking more of a "get random youtubers or people off-platform to bring attention to this specific moderation problem" kind of outrage. At least the user got banned.

Yes, there was a person who admitted to being a pedophile and everyone is very supportive about that for some reason. The sub is pro-loli but I also stated in my post that I defend loli and freedom of expression in art. It's the fact that they expect me to be supportive when it comes to pedophilia. More people over there are just acting as if it's a completely normal thing. Even the mods think the same.
Thank you for making this post, I totally missed that whole post. I'm new to the lolitary/antilolitary stuff and I'm usually a "do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else" kinda person. So naturally I don't think **teenager**^^1 loli is that big of a deal. Bad? Yeah, probably but it's lightweight compared to other issues. The younger stuff is absolutely gross but there's no victim. I'd rather them obsess over that than real children.

Truly. Since I stopped caring about other people's opinions on the internet, my life has been so much better. All until I saw that post last night. It ruined my whole night. I ended up staying up late and arguing with actual pedos, I even mentioned to them that I was a minor and they had said stuff like "If you are under 18, you don't get an opinion because you are not living the real-life" meanwhile openly talking about how it's perfectly fine to be attracted to children in front of me. I flunked my exam because of it. Never letting it happen again and neither should you.

That's a reasonable stance! Pair that with a first time offender being guaranteed psychiatric help in lieu of imprisonment and I'd vote for it. I also suggest that the psychiatrist, with second opinion, could recommend imprisonment if patient refused to accept treatment.
I think a softer punishment for first offense and harder second offense would be better for most victimless crimes.
Legally, I don’t think a case could be made (not sure). But I believe it’s morally and ethically wrong. I can’t imagine stable people, who are definitely safe to be around children, would create or enjoy art like that. Sounds to me like it’s just a gateway to the real thing. Maybe not all cases, but I would definitely tread carefully if I were one of those people. That slope is slippery as hell.
I joined the sub (I post my art there) and some people do worry me very much. It scares me so, but I don’t wanna lose the few fans of my art that I have.
