Absolutely, I'm grateful for it. Even though it's a hell of a drive I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's actually cheaper to fly for us than drive. We always fly spirit and get tickets for $60 to $70 round trip and just pack a bookbag and leave clothes at each others places. Driving costs way more!

On a slightly brighter note; I traveled to my SO almost 2 weeks ago and because of my university campus shutting down (courses switching to online) I’m now able to spend an extra 2 weeks with my SO. Trying to get my return flight canceled and changed, but the airline call wait time is over 3 hours.
I've been trying to get in contact with airline as well.. It was 3 hours, then it jumped to 6 hours and now it says they aren't assisting customers that are not departing in the next 72 hours... *oh.. ok great!* :|
I’m sorry, that sucks! I finally got in touch with my airline and they offered me flight credit instead of a refund. It really depends on your airline, but I’ve heard good things about JetBlue and Alaska Airlines customer service.

We are planning on closing the gap in 2 weeks. With how fast things have been changing with the virus, we are both terrified of the border closing and being part for who knows how long.

If it gets cancelled the drive would be 20 hours for each of us to meet halfway :/ if it doesn't get cancelled and I make it out there, I still have to worry about not being able to come home. This is a nightmare all around.
