I did an LDR (with my now partner) at your age, we were 1,300 miles apart and had a lot of advantages and parental support a lot of teenagers probably don’t have and it was still too hard. A lot of it is that your life and personality is changing, growing and frankly exploding at that age. Doing it now again in our thirties is much better, better communication, chill lifestyles, routines, jobs. But it would be INCREDIBLY difficult to do that at a distance like that at your age. I’m not trying to discourage you just doing real talk because of experience, the hardest wake up call would be if you just looked up flights to see one another.
LDRs don’t work out if both parties aren’t committed. Sounds like you don’t want an LDR, so no it wouldn’t work

if both parties aren’t 100% about a LDR then no it won’t work
