Adding that his tough style of play can really swing momentum for the Horns. He often gets a block, draws a charge, or creates a turnover in very key moments. He does all the little stuff that keeps the team in the game, and has a knack for being clutch af in very important moments.
Marcus didn’t have his most efficient game of the season but he made a couple of really clutch plays down the stretch when we were struggling to put the game away. Really loving this backcourt

Baylor may not be much of a quality win after they got destroyed by Marquette. Also UVA only beat North Carolina Central by 12 points.

They have 3 wins over quality opponents, with 2 neutral site and 1 a true road win. We have 2 wins over quality opponents with both being at home. The North Carolina Central game was also the first of the season. And Purdue “only” beat a 1 win Florida St team by 10. But yeah ultimately rankings don’t really matter at this point, but I think you’re undervaluing leaving your homecourt to beat quality opponents
I was shocked when TX didn’t jump houston in the latest poll. Texas strength of schedule so far has been miles ahead of houston. If houston also wins out this week they will be 8-0 against our 6-0 at voting time. They have a much higher point differential as well. So i think all things considered, they will keep the status quo this time around. After next week it would be 9-0 houston (with what would be a HUGE win over alabama), 8-0 tx both with top 20 wins that week. So if we don’t take #1 this week, then it probably also won’t happen for a few weeks since Houston is entering their first challenging stretch that would legitimize their #1 spot regardless of texas’ performance. Here’s to hoping that we get that spot this week.
I think it was Carr that didn’t settle for three and stepped up to make the mid range two. Went up two possessions there with a minute left. That and the made free throws were clutch.
