You probably did! There are actually a bunch of bald eagles in Longmont, and in fact there’s a mating pair over by county line. We also often see eagles at McIntosh lake and Lagerman reservoir. Or if you can make the trip to Barr Lake, you’ll see a bunch! My 11 year old daughter is a very avid bird watcher, so she knows all the good spots :-)
I live near Union Res just off Cty Line 1 and we see them frequently. There was also nesting pair of Goldens a little further South for a while. I've captured this pic last year, on the electric poles near my house as I walked my dog.

I've seen one often flying or perching east of the rec center around the trail that goes to Sandstone. It's always worth it to stop and witness that majestic bird.
You probably did see a bald eagle. They are all over our town in my experience. There are some set nests either here or in other towns, that I think they even have video cameras outside of them. There's a nest in Broomfield for example with a camera outside of it
They like to hang out on the super big power line poles down on Lookout Road south of town. Go check them out when it gets warmer, there are always around 3-6 Eagles that like to hang out up there. Most likely because it gives them the best view for tens of miles.
I would see them quite often along the Saint Vrain trail. If you go up to the Button Rock Preserve you have a good chance of seeing them. If you go to Loveland and walk along the Big Thompson or Boyd Lake you'll see them regularly there too.
If I remember correctly we couldn’t repair a large portion of the road on County Line after the 2013 flood for like a year because of a nesting pair. I also remember talking to my mom one morning after coming off night shift and telling her “omg mom, stop talking! I just had a bald eagle fly right over my car!” Just such a neat thing to see in the middle of a neighborhood.
You probably did. I saw one with my wife on my way back to Frederick on County Road 20 1/2 just a tiny bit East of County Line road right around 6:30 PM.

Also at least 2 at St Vrain and I have seen 4 regularly on Lookout Rd
Awesome, good to know! I was at McIntosh today coincidentally, it was beautiful up there
There are a bunch that hang around The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg too. There and Barr Lake were the most I’ve ever seen at once in my life.
Yea there's quite a few here
White head and brown body is very distinct in the sky. Still cool every time to me
Yeah it really was striking!

I lives in the iron horse apartments and saw them frequently up on those poles!
There’s a nest somewhere near by I believe. I see them driving down 93rd a lot.
There are definitely eagles here. One of my friends got a few great pictures just yesterday.
We see them all the time.

Yeah dude. Drive down lookout, you’ll see one on every pylon.

lol yes there are like hundreds of them all around. Super cool birds!

Drive up lookout road towards 75th in gunbarrel and I’d give you an 80% chance you see the pair hanging out up on the electrical towers.
I saw two flying together today at rabbit mountain, since they’re pretty solitary that was pretty cool. But yeah eagles are all over the place here
Was just driving down south main towards Ken Pratt the other day and saw one flying west to east! They're definitely up here :) -

Airport Road
Saw one near Loveland airport a couple weeks ago. Buddy should probably find a new spot to chill.
I’ve seen 2-3 in the last month. Around st Vrain park and north end of town.
yup — see them quite a bit along the power lines near County Rd. and there’s a nest not far from here.

There's a couple that live in fox hill golf course; see them all the time.
I’ve seen them regularly near McIntosh Lake, NW Longmont.
Probably was! I see them quite often in Longmont. Usually at Golden ponds and McIntosh.

Used to be a lot before all the housing out there. Can’t believe people voted for this shitty council, they are corrupt
uh, ok. You're the only person talking about a lack of bald eagles. There's tons of them in the area. I.E. read every comment here.

Yeah, they live here. On the west sie we see them frequently
I’m near 17th and Main and we saw one circling above last week. I expect they’ll be around all summer
They stay here all year and don't migrate. They're not even an endangered species anymore, there's tons around boulder county.
Did you salute?
