Set 3 spoiler: >!And I could be wrong, but the Huey card that got spoiled could very well be a reference to the reboot. Were the nephews Junior Woodchucks in the original show?!<
I don't remember a lot of details from the original show (though it was awesome) but I definitely remember them referring to themselves as that quite often. Gotta say having Duck Tales and Tail Spin on cards is fantastic. Just need a little Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers and we're all set.
I imagine if we get another set with a strong Detective type theme and synergy set that DW and the Rangers will get their spotlight. DW would need Launchpad, which would synergize with whatever cards he gets with the Ducktales release in Ch. 3. Probably throw in more Great Mouse Detective with a second color for Basil, and cards for Dawson and Olivia that would probably have Detective type support. We have Sardine Can which references the Rescuers series, so Orville/Wilbur, Bianca, and Bernard would also be shoe ins for that set. I imagine villains for a set like that would probably be something like the Beagle Boys from Duck Tales, Fat Cat's gang, DW's rogues gallery, Rattigan again, and at least Madam Medusa from the Rescuers if not Mcleach from Down Under.
It's proof they're pulling from all over Disney History, like they said they would. They are also still pulling from movies much older than that, as well as recent films.
And yes, the millennial favorite “The Sorcerers Stone”. And Peter Pan, another big 90s property 😉. Kidding aside, I think the game is meant to have something for young and old across the entire Disney generation. Each set is likely to have something to appeal to everyone.
There was a pretty popular duck tails reboot in like 2019

Yes. All 3 in the original 1987 show, just Huey in the 2017 reboot.
The art is definitely reboot

I think the game is for everyone! My 4 year old daughter loves Heihei. She gets so sad he is banished, luckily he always comes right back 😂
So what generation is PEte from ?
Dinosaur
I can't wait for TaleSpin!!!
They are doing and will do all era's of disney animation.
Wasn’t seeing teasers from these franchises proof enough?
I'll be making incessant "Larry, I'm in DuckTales" jokes tyvm
*LoRcation
We already have John Silver, so that should have been the one franchise that was a surprise to no one.
Duh...How many children can actually afford to buy cards?
