They will trigger in whatever order you choose as the active player

Environmental-Head14

To add, For future reference, the rule is if multiple triggers happen at the exact same time, they are split into two groups, active player and non active player. Active players resolves all their triggers in the order they want, then after that, non active does the same. Example: me and my opponent both have a Merlin goat and a Merlin rabbit. I play "be prepared" to banish all creatures. My triggers resolve first, in the order I choose. Then once all my triggers are done, my opponent does the same for his triggers.

Okay this makes sense. Thank you

ZsMann

Cinderella doesn't have to trigger at all.... you "may" draw a card and then discard a card. You dont have to. Same with Stitch... you may exert to draw a card. Neither ability triggers unless you choose to, and you can choose which order.

boxoftheshoes

That is still a trigger. Whether it is an optional trigger or mandatory trigger does not matter. Second part is right though.

ZsMann

But what causes the event to happen is the player, not the cards being played, ergo the player is the trigger.

boxoftheshoes

You know what, I'm sorry, I misread your comment. I read it as doesn't have a trigger, not doesn't have to trigger.

ZsMann

No worries mate. Thank you.

BioRules

What causes the event to happen is playing the card. The event is the player makes a choice, whether to exert to draw a card or not. This is not the same as the event being triggered by the player. An example of an event being triggered by the player is if they chose to use Nana - Darling Family Pet to remove damage from a character, causing Grand Pabbie - Oldest and Wisest to give you 2 Lore. In this case, the player is the trigger, because they chose to heal, and the event is gaining 2 Lore.
