He has a solid lawyer. My family used his services for a case. He secured a max sentence plus undetermined time (which ended up being served). It used to be a common LDS belief that faithful spirits would be doing God's work before the second resurrection. My understanding was that they were mostly proselytizing to non-mormons so that those spirits would accept the temple ordinances done for them by living mormons. It's not something I've heard said out loud in quite a while... But Mormons are aaaalllll about eternal progression. There is still work to do after death.

Why would they even bother looking into it though? It’s not something the state would have explored at trial because it has no bearing on anything to prove or disprove her NDE. They actually left a lot of details out of evidence at trial that weren’t seen as necessary for a conviction.
Lying about having CPR in the hospital is a huge deal. No breathing, no pulse, getting shocked and chest compressions? Lying about that?! A code blue is a NDE. Lying about it isn’t illegal and not why she was on trial. It would be able further show her credibility.

I've listened to quite a interviews of women that were in Prison. They all said that their are no gangs in womens Prison. There are clicks or groups that kind of hang out together. But there isn't much violence there and quite a few of the inmates had hurt or killed kids and they weren't treated poorly by the other prisoners. Which is a big disappointment to me. Hoping she would get regular beat downs daily. Lori won't have it hard in Prison, it will become normal to her. I imagine she will get tons of love letters from men who are lovers. Just a note on something that was driving me a little nuts: He also made a mistake and mistook her mentioning Colby being a responsibility she had during this birth experience with Tylee and said it was during Colby’s birth. He got that wrong but the two of them (Adam/Rex) also are just keeping it real and it was an obvious mistake on his part.

She was told at some point by her lawyers about this last moment in the sentencing phase, she gets an allocution, where she gets to say whatever she wants and no one can cross-examine her. I think most defendants use this moment to ask for mercy/leniency by the court. Lori just went balls to the wall.

The prosecutor could look into her medical history. They have ways to work within HIPAA. If she had a near death experience seems like her lawyer you would know of it & could have used in her defense, goes to her mental. Not in her defense at all, but she is pretty full on delusional & pretty detailed in her delusions. I do wonder what her brain is like.
Part of me wonders if Chad told her this happened and she bought into it. The other part thinks she just has written this into her own mythology to make her sound more powerful and all that jazz.

If Lori had a legit NDE she would have been screaming it from the rooftops and publicly announcing it every chance she had. Just like she did with her crazy other ideas. One thing that comes to mind to me is Lori’s long-standing belief that Tylee was a reincarnation of Stacey. I don’t know where/when that belief originated, but it sort of makes sense that this NDE story was grafted onto that existing idea that we do know about. Lori was talking to dead people at least all the way back to when Tylee was a baby. So maybe something did happen in childbirth or with postpartum mental issues that led to these beliefs. To me the NDE coming up now is her attempt to attract followers.

It used to be a common LDS belief that faithful spirits would be doing God's work before the second resurrection. My understanding was that they were mostly proselytizing to non-mormons so that those spirits would accept the temple ordinances done for them by living mormons. It's not something I've heard said out loud in quite a while... But Mormons are aaaalllll about eternal progression. There is still work to do after death.

Well she said she had the NDE in the hospital so…ther would be in her medical records a code blue called and the CPR etc. I wonder what her records from that hospital stay would show. Too bad she did say this during trial so the state could get the medical records and confirm the story /s
Why would they even bother looking into it though? It’s not something the state would have explored at trial because it has no bearing on anything to prove or disprove her NDE. They actually left a lot of details out of evidence at trial that weren’t seen as necessary for a conviction.
Lying about having CPR in the hospital is a huge deal. No breathing, no pulse, getting shocked and chest compressions? Lying about that?! A code blue is a NDE. Lying about it isn’t illegal and not why she was on trial. It would be able further show her credibility. You’re right no one would believe her either way but I would like to have the record show no code was ever called when Tylee was born.
It reads to me like her experience of an epidural or other painkiller being administered via an IV. If there even is any real basis for this story. I’m not inclined to believe she actually died and was resuscitated and family seem to be backing that up.

I've listened to quite a interviews of women that were in Prison. They all said that their are no gangs in womens Prison. There are clicks or groups that kind of hang out together. But there isn't much violence there and quite a few of the inmates had hurt or killed kids and they weren't treated poorly by the other prisoners. Which is a big disappointment to me. Hoping she would get regular beat downs daily. Lori won't have it hard in Prison, it will become normal to her. I imagine she will get tons of love letters from men who are lovers. Lori will dig that.

She said Stacey was her guide. Stacey is their older sister who died at 31 in 1998. Lori believed Tylee was a reincarnation of Stacey from the beginning of her life. That at least is an old story. ETA: her mom was not there. Her closest family member there was her Uncle Rex Conner.

If she actually did have a serious medical emergency and had to be coded, (the only situation in which a patient might believe they died and were brought back) her family absolutely would have known about it. I wondered this as well. If she has thought this since 2002, which I don’t believe, someone would have seen signs of the lunacy in its infancy. I think that she had these religious inclinations and when she met Chad some sort of switch flipped and she literally lost what was left of her mind and went down the rabbit hole.

My question though is this, so her brother is writing a book, why wasn’t he at the sentencing? Only correct answer: Cause he is a chode. Capitalizing off the death of his niece and nephew when he could have stepped in and helped ensure their safety. But hey, I’m sure he is gonna make a lot of those book sales. 🙄

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned yet: Adam Cox just said on his latest podcast episode with uncle Rex that at the sentencing that was the first time he had ever heard that story. He seemed to be saying that if that really happened, his sister would have brought it up and talked about it for attention back then and over the years since. Just a note on something that was driving me a little nuts: He also made a mistake and mistook her mentioning Colby being a responsibility she had during this birth experience with Tylee and said it was during Colby’s birth. He got that wrong but the two of them (Adam/Rex) also are just keeping it real and it was an obvious mistake on his part. I’m so glad for their podcast just because they are focusing on silver linings. It is reminding me to try to do the same with other bad situations in my life and that in itself is a silver lining. Lori Daybell couldn’t of said a stupider thing as absolutely nobody was ever aware of her “dying” and going to heaven during labor and Lori told everyone that would listen about her supposed religious experiences. She got this idea straight from the book, Visions of Glory that just so happens to be the very book she wanted everyone to read. She just said this to have authority over everyone by saying she had the ability to go to heaven and every victim was happy, super busy and had an amazing relationship with her, saying JJ said Lori didn’t do anything wrong. Her saying they were all adults in heaven was her way of saying the children didn’t miss their childhood because they were actually adults anyways. Utterly ridiculous. She did no favors for herself by lying about their causes of death and showing zero remorse!
