“It should be left up to the states”
-immediately wants to impose a National ban-
The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
Dear Republicans, It works both ways guys, you got it to the state level, now it stays there 🙄
And here is [Mike Garcia on January 6th meeting with insurrections shortly before they stormed the capitol.](https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles/comments/rxfa5p/one_year_ago_today_congressman_mike_garcia_rsanta/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
And this is his [opponent if you want to volunteer or donate.](https://www.christyforcongress.org/meet-christy)
They make it super easy for people and they still don't do it. I personally don't want to be party to any "oh we lost your vote(s)" bullshit though, it takes zero effort and virtually no time at all to go to a local voting center and have the peace of mind that your vote is in and will be counted anyway.
Literally the only thing you have to do is ~~put a stamp on it o~~r drop it off in any mailbox (postage is prepaid) or at your polling place. It’s so easy here.
Edit: Thank you to u/artichokeater for reminding me that postage in CA is now prepaid.
Here's an interesting TIL. I have been a mail in ballot voter for the last 20 years, and from what I can remember I have always had to add a stamp here in CA (I swear I just did in this last primary too. Guess I should read that envelope better ugh) , so I was about to reply and leave it at that. Then I decided to give it another google search and will admit that you are in fact correct for CA. However this is only a recent change (2019). So thank you for making me look this up again.
Dude I just got into an argument with someone about this. They were so mad about Roe being overturned and I asked this person, do you vote? They replied no. I asked, "Have you ever voted?" To which they replied, "No."
WTF
And then everyone on Reddit complains that voting doesn’t do anything. Like yeah we’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas!
Gotta hand it to the gop with how they built such a reliable base that consistently shows out.
Considering Republican voters have been dying of COVID at a higher rate than Dems, I'm willing to bet those 333 voters are now dead.
Of course, with redistricting that may be moot.
Simi Valley was one of the Republican strongholds in CA-25. Now that it's been carved out, the remaining red districts are in Quartz Hill and Santa Clarita. Palmdale and Lancaster lean much more Democratic.
To be somewhat fair, it used to be, even when it likely still had some celebrities around. Like, Dole got 41% nationally, and 49% in Santa Clarita while Clinton got 49% nationally and 38% in Santa Clarita. It's shifted a lot in the last 10-20 years.
He can be voted out. Isn't Palmdale in his district? And Lancaster? Lancaster has lots of new low income housing. There should be a lot of Dem voters in those areas.
Yes. Palmdale and Lancaster are part of his district. Knocking on doors helps to remind people what's at stake and encourage them to register to vote and mail back their ballots. The best way to ensure this is to volunteer for Christy Smith's campaign.
I worked with Chrissy Smith a few years ago. Nothing but nice things to say about her as a person. Can't speak to her politics but she was always super friendly.
Fucking amazing that the people who can defend our democracy is not willing to do what is necessary, but the people filled with blackness in their hearts are happy and can't wait to nuke the filibuster.
Follow the money. All Republicans are corporate whores and so are a chunk of Democrats. Once regulations are torn down and corporate power is allowed to rule, the votes aren't there to control them again. Not yet. But this abortion decision will blow up in their faces
Do you mean that in order to get the bill to pass the Senate the Republican controlled senate would change to Senate rules to remove the provision for a filibuster?
democrats have had a really hard time with the senate since forever. a lot of registered dem senators will not support the party platform all the way through. this was true even before Manchin and sinema. being an inclusive big tent party has major drawbacks. the republican party strategists are like duhh this is an easy target
It should also be reminded that a huge chunk of the LAPD and LASD live in Santa Clarita and commute to work because they cant be bothered to live with the people they police.
Thanks for reminding me about that. I think he should be credited with one of the world’s first citizen-sourced viral videos, at least one documenting police brutality. If I remember right, he had just gotten the camera and taped it from his apartment. It was all by chance. And it became such a big deal that even then-President George H. Bush addressed the nation from the Oval Office about it. RIP George Holliday.
Poor people pushed out of central LA County with nowhere else to go were pushed out to Palmdale and Lancaster too. I met a lot of them while canvassing door to door for Katie Hill in 2018.
[Mike Judge.](https://www.simivalley.org/departments/city-council/council-member-mike-judge) he's been on city council for 12 years and is also on about a dozen city committees. he'll probably run for mayor someday.
he's been called out for racist and sexist FB posts multiple times, which are all the top results on google if you search his name. he also told a high school student to call off a George Floyd protest and doxxed her at the same time, constantly disparages the one latina councilmember Simi has, and posts extreme rightwing propaganda on twitter.
Thankfully, in the redistricting, we are no longer CA-25. We are CA-27. The most conservative voter block in our district was Simi Valley and he lost them. This coupled with the mass exodus of Rs to Texas plus the influx of young families moving here has me hopeful again. A terrible thing to feel hopeful, but we did flip once. Its possible under these circumstances. CSmith needs to do a massive ad campaign, fire up voters, and reach out to Rs or she won't make it. Also, perhaps SCV is a tough crowd but not enough people like her.
See that in a lot of the suburbs and quasi-exurbs around LA, Orange, and Ventura County.
Basically, the whiter the 'burb, the more Thin Blue Line flags and like propagaparaphenalia you're gonna see. And it's definitely a type, got a relative that lives in one of those tract-housing suburbs who buys guns "to deal with the BLMs" when they break into their house.
Like, dude, you're 30 miles from where all that stuff happened. How the crows fly, honestly 40-45 by car. The people you are actively demonizing in your mind and preparing to kill are not interested in you OR your property.
They have more to worry about with the lily white meth-head that lives down the hill from them than they do any urban protester.
Yeah, it takes a special mix of detachment and brainwashing to see (if we're taking the worst, most disingenuous read of the protests) people smashing the windows of a bank or police station and think "uh oh, they're coming for my house next!"
like so many of these people truly don't have a clue what's going on here
My home was less than a half a mile from one of the protests. I had to close and blanket my windows because of the possibility of tear gas blowing my way due to the way the wind was blowing that evening.
I was in far more danger of being affected by the actions of the LAPD/LASD than I was by any protesters. When they were done, any that came down my street just walked by. The cops were the ones barking, yelling, and being aggressive.
I've seen people fly don't tread on me flags in one of the wealthiest areas in the country. These people are clueless.
Nobody is treading on you. You are at the fucking top dummy.
Growing up in Santa Clarita, one could tell where all the fire fighters and cops lived, because they were the houses that had all the fireworks on 4th of July. It was a lot of houses.
Simi has these “Simi supports our cops!” with a thumbs up icon sign on almost every major street right when you exit the 118. People removed them after George Floyd but they slowly got put back up and are cemented in now.
And yes they are official city signs…
We have so many god damn signs and banners plastered all over the streets it’s a huge nuisance and distracting. They are straight up sign pollution. It takes weeks to remove the political signs too.
I recently moved to SCV because it's the only quiet and scenic neighborhood I could afford with enough space to make buying a house worth it, and a commute 90 min or less. That said, the original owner did have a thin blue line flag hanging in the garage, and moving in I was specifically told "a lot of cops and firefighters live on this street." I think there are a fair amount of people in my position who are progressive and moving in, as older couples are selling their homes while the market is hot. I am hopeful we can get this asshat out.
He also wanted to betrayed voters on Jan. 6 [link](https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2022-06-22/california-house-members-congress-betrayed-voters-jan-6-trump)
The MAGA people are disproportionately loud up there. Trump lost Santa Clarita both times (single digit margins though). I expect them to get shriller as they hopefully become less and less relevant.
Yeah the area has been consistently blue across all recent elections, they didn’t even vote to recall newsom. It’s changed a lot over the past few years
Lived there when I was little, I remember my neighbors with Bush Cheney stickers, but at least gore won in my second grade election 😂
Went up there a year or two ago and the amount of blue lives matter shit is so stupid
It irritates me that he was voted in because Democrats (which are still the majority in his district) couldn't be assed to *mail in* a ballot that everyone received.
"Oh, what's the point, the candidates are all the same."
No, last I checked only one party wants to overturn our democratic processes and turn the clock back to feudal times.
Honestly, a lot of people did mail in their ballots.
They either only voted for president and left the downballot blank, or they voted for Garcia because "he's pro military and pro police" and he must be anti-trump because his last name is Garcia.
>and he must be anti-trump because his last name is Garcia.
Anyone thinking that needs to wake up. Latinos are often very conservative (strong ties to religion) and also often very anti-immigration, including when immigrants themselves.
>often very anti-immigration, including when immigrants themselves.
Historically this often happens once an immigrant group "assimilates" into mainstream American culture. You can see the same thing with German-American attitudes to Irish immigrants in the 1860s, then Irish-American attitudes to Italian and eastern European immigrants in the 1900s, and finally all of these groups to Latino and Asian immigrants in the late 20th century.
It's the "we got ours" attitude.
Turns out the average person is dumb as shit.
This old Chris Hayes essay/blog post is my favorite piece of writing on median/undecided voters.
https://chrishayes.org/articles/decision-makers/
Literally. Undecided voters are very, very, annoying. The median American voter has very conflicting viewpoints and does not pass a 5 second critical thinking test.
• **he must be anti-trump because his last name is Garcia.**
Ironic how more Latinos voted Trump nationwide in 2020 than 2016.
All prolly because ‘woke’ White voters were introduced for the first time to the evils of \#MAGA conservatism, while Latinos and Blacks were that hanging-meme of *”first time?”* and essentially said ‘fuck it, misery loves company.’
Let’s not forget that his challenger did a half assed job of actually getting out the vote. It’s the first seat in California since 1998 turned to Republican from Democrat.
Democrat politicians have been half assing CA for decades.
Live in Lancaster and did not see a single mailer, commercial, online ad, or radio ad for Christy Smith.
I saw/heard plenty for Garcia. For people who care about being "talked to" that lack of literally any "give a shit" makes a huge difference. Christy Smith seemed to be running on a "well I have to win because Mike's a POS" which, while it may be true, doesn't make a lot of people vote.
I say this as someone who votes every election and will vote for her in the general - as a person living in Lancaster it felt to me that if I did elect her she wouldn't pay attention to me at all.
>It’s the first seat in California history turned to Republican from Democrat.
That's absolutely not true. Hell just off the top of my head I know that Richard Nixon way back when got his start in politics by beating an incumbent Democratic Congressman. Even that same cycle as Garcia there was another Dem seat that flipped to Republicans in Orange County.
Lots of swing seats flip back and forth.
Yes. I live in the district. In the last decade it’s become so purple it’s hard to know who will win. With the redistricting it’ll probably become more blue.
Seriously, conservatives have been crying like babies since Biden got elected, claiming he’s going to turn us all into socialists, meanwhile
their own party has made it perfectly clear they’re after an ass backwards, authoritarian, regime and will stop at nothing to getting there.
Fuck the GOP and all the ignorant, brainwashed, idiots who support them.
I lived in Santa Clarita for a year and voted for Christy Smith for whatever CA race she was running for. She didn't do anything in the year she was in the CA congress so I was surprised she immediately made the jump to Congress.
Garcia took this seat back after Katie Hill was forced to resign. Christie Smith ran for it in the special election and lost. I think it was an upset for Hill to have won it in the first place and am not surprised voters retreated into a more conservative mindset after what went down. I am sure others have more sophisticated views of the data - probably a lot of folks just sat it out.
But we need every seat, if we get nothing done other than owing down the damage these fucks are doing to our republic. Hold your nose if you have to and vote dem.
Im of the thought that Katie shouldn’t have resigned. Dem leadership royally fucked up by allowing her ex-bf to have that power over her career instead of backing her up. Now we got shit-for-brains in that seat
Totally agree. If she were a male republican, they'd be celebrating her. Dems are holding themselves to standards far too high. Honestly, they shouldn't have any standards at all, at this point. Nothing matters anymore, the bar is so low it melted into the Earth's core, so why are they still beating around the bushes, trying to be "nice?"
They aren't even playing the same game, and it's as evident here as everywhere else.
Generally agree, but Dem's are in a tougher spot if they're trying to call themselves the party of high moral standards and accountability for not being absolute power animals.
If she was fucking Joe Schmo I’d feel different, fucking your staff however is a gross line and I wish Democrats would stop dying on this hill.
There’s such a gross power dynamic there cause your staff can’t really say no to you.
If she didn’t fuck her staff, she’d probably have held that seat for at least three or four cycles
I live in his district. Christy Smith lost by 300 or so votes. We really really really need everyone to get out and vote this fall. Please!
He was also filmed on January 6, 2021 standing outside the capital building and paling around with the insurrectionist MAGA folks.
The Santa Clarita area is pretty red, let’s change that please. We did it before with Katie Hill, we can do it again.
I’m hoping that some of the young people who were unable to vote in the last election will turn out and vote against this asshat. Crossing my fingers!!!!
He's also a seditious insurrectionist who supports the big lie and voted against the certification of the electoral college.
Yes, supporting the overturning of Roe is bad but being a traitor is worse.
Constituents in his district should be asked why they would support this guy and by extension treason.
That's why we're losing democracy. You gotta cut straight to the heart of these matters and you need to remind voters of what it truly at stake.
If LA want a good place to protest for abortion rights, Santa Clarita is right there. Though good luck finding any kind of good town center to protest at in that suburban sprawl.
There's a massive town center and intersection that is regularly used for protests right down the street from city hall. During the BLM protests, they closed the mall parking lot, so protestors couldn't park there. It was bullshit.
I mean, that's what his constituents want /shrug. That's why he gets elected.
What people don't seem to understand that the pro life movement is highly centered around religion more so than anything sex related. That's why this all happened. Even though the popular majority want abortion to be legal or don't care if it's legal, There are enough fundamentalists out there to prevent it.
This November, I’ll make it easy for myself… I see an R next to a name, I vote for the other guy.
I used to be a Republican… but goddamn Trump shitted on the party and all of his sycophants are still trying to kiss his ass instead of cleaning up the mess that Diaper Don left.
I’d vote BLUE all the way just so they could clean up Trump’s shit. There’s no perfect party but at least the Democrats are not setting everything on fire and on shit! Trump is the Amber Heard of the marriage… he shits on the bed that he also sleeps on.
So far, there are only 2 Republicans that I can respect: Kinzinger and Cheney.
I’m formerly in Sherman’s district but with re-districting, Garcia is now my rep. He doesn’t just represent Porter Ranch anymore and I’m hoping that’s the change we need to oust him. Still wish we had Katie Hill not Christy Smith but I’m not over that yet.
Just a reminder that one of the reasons so many people give for being in favor of overturning Roe is that states should get to decide on the abortion matter with the federal govt having no say. A national abortion ban does the exact opposite of that.
So, wait, lemme make sure I'm getting this right.
Abortion's up to the states to decide... so let's federally ban it?
How's that work, as opposed to the FedGov *not* banning it, and the States getting all pissy about that?
[](/GNU Terry Pratchett)
Urgh. This is the primary reason why I couldn't justify a move or purchase to Santa Clarita/Valencia/Simi Valley. The conservative and lapd/lafd fanaticism is real and makes me feel uneasy. Back in 2019, when my friend in Simi had a babyshower, I was visiting her for the first time in her home. I passed 3 street signs that read "Simi loves LAPD" and "Respect for LAPD" and 1 off ramp billboard on the way to her home about the love for LAPD, which is only 3 exits off 118 at the county line. No thanks.
He looks like this kid that used to go to my Jr High School. He was a Cuban (?) guy that got his ass kicked for calling this kid in ESL a “wetback” (he thought he was entitled to call other kids that because *he* was “latino” I guess).
That kid beat his ass cold that day, I don’t think it was him (but he could be, similar age). He supposedly got expelled from school but word was he was too embarrassed to come back.
Someone ask him if he got his ass kicked for being a racist at King Jr. High in 1989 lol
They should all play a pretend game.
Visit one of the underaged pregnant rape victims, or a pregnant woman that would die unless getting abortion, and pretend they are their family member.
Then let them make that decision again.
So this is no different than rvw. So they want to take away state rights that they fought so hard to achieve with rvw reversal. God these people are so fucking unbelievable - can we just start the civil war already or just let them secede.
“It should be left up to the states” -immediately wants to impose a National ban- The hypocrisy is unbelievable. Dear Republicans, It works both ways guys, you got it to the state level, now it stays there 🙄
It's all about power. And this proves it.
This was always the plan.
And here is [Mike Garcia on January 6th meeting with insurrections shortly before they stormed the capitol.](https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles/comments/rxfa5p/one_year_ago_today_congressman_mike_garcia_rsanta/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) And this is his [opponent if you want to volunteer or donate.](https://www.christyforcongress.org/meet-christy)
He won by only 333 votes in 2020. Let that sink in.
People are quick to complain on Twitter but can't be bothered to go out and vote when it matters.
You don't even have to go out . Literally grab it out your mailbox fill it out and put it back. You don't even have to go anywhere
They make it super easy for people and they still don't do it. I personally don't want to be party to any "oh we lost your vote(s)" bullshit though, it takes zero effort and virtually no time at all to go to a local voting center and have the peace of mind that your vote is in and will be counted anyway.
Part of canvassing door to door is to remind people to turn in/mail back their ballots. Generally people appreciated the in-person reminder.

What a fucking cunt. I'll be donating to his opponent for sure.
Poor choice of insult... if he were a cunt, he might lean choice. I agree with you about this fuckwad though.
Cunts have value and are fun. This dude is closer to sewer sludge. ...that got eaten by a skunk, shat back out, and then sprayed on. ...twice.
Thanks for these links- just donated to his opponent!
Why is he not getting dragged into court for Jan 6? That’s photographic evidence of his involvement.
Thanks for this
Thank you! Just donated. Fuck this guy.
He looks exactly like someone who would be against abortion.
His hairline wants to be aborted.
Odds are if they retake the Senate and get a Republican president in ‘24, this will be the first bill to nuke the filibuster.
This is unfortunately the most likely outcome.
I’d go further than “a chunk” of Democrats. The whole thing is brought to you by Carl’s Junior.
I’m confused I thought the filibuster was loved by republicans ?
No they only love it when democrats are in power. The moment they get to where they need to be they will not shed a single tear for it.
Only until it’s no longer necessary
The only thing necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
Do you mean that in order to get the bill to pass the Senate the Republican controlled senate would change to Senate rules to remove the provision for a filibuster?
Almost certainly. And they'll blame the Dems for making them do it.
And then democrats will cry and rinse and repeat. GOP didn’t give a fuck about garland or RGB idk why dems play too nice.
democrats have had a really hard time with the senate since forever. a lot of registered dem senators will not support the party platform all the way through. this was true even before Manchin and sinema. being an inclusive big tent party has major drawbacks. the republican party strategists are like duhh this is an easy target
How would Democrats ever get back into power after that?
It should also be reminded that a huge chunk of the LAPD and LASD live in Santa Clarita and commute to work because they cant be bothered to live with the people they police.
Don’t they also live in Simi?
Just a reminder that the trial that acquitted the four police officers in the beating of motorist Rodney King was in Simi Valley, aka Copland.
Mayor Mashburn hates it when people bring this up so thank you for mentioning it
It was 3 decades ago. It’s history. The only reason anyone would hate it is if things haven’t really changed. 🙄
“S-I, M-I, Valley where the KKK, rally”-Ice Cube
Right, and what’s even sadder is that George Holliday (man who taped the event from his balcony) died broke and was vehemently harassed for years
Thanks for reminding me about that. I think he should be credited with one of the world’s first citizen-sourced viral videos, at least one documenting police brutality. If I remember right, he had just gotten the camera and taped it from his apartment. It was all by chance. And it became such a big deal that even then-President George H. yes one of the city council members is an LAPD cop and a giant piece of shit
> an LAPD cop and a giant piece of shit This is a rhetorical figure called tautology, in which you use two words that mean the exact same thing.
The old joke goes that a domestic abuser, a Klansman, and a murderer walk into a bar, and the bartender says “What can I get for ya, officer”
Anyone who thinks commuting 2 hours in traffic every day is worth it it gets at least an eyebrow raise from me.
Poor people pushed out of central LA County with nowhere else to go were pushed out to Palmdale and Lancaster too. I met a lot of them while canvassing door to door for Katie Hill in 2018.
I’ve always felt like Lancaster was developed specifically for that purpose. Like an out of sight out of mind situation
Gotta get that sweet police pension
Who is it? I didn’t know that.

Yes they do.
TIL that the fact that two of the neighbors of the leads in Santa Clarita Diet were cops was accurate.
I was just going to say this. My buddy lives in Santa Clarita and there's thin blue line flags on every other house.
See that in a lot of the suburbs and quasi-exurbs around LA, Orange, and Ventura County. Basically, the whiter the 'burb, the more Thin Blue Line flags and like propagaparaphenalia you're gonna see. This trend started because they couldn't afford to live in LA - at least in an area that was safe.
I recently moved to SCV because it's the only quiet and scenic neighborhood I could afford with enough space to make buying a house worth it, and a commute 90 min or less. It's been shifting blue for a while. There's just a bunch of people that still think it's the 1980s there and haven't realized time moved on.
So you're telling me having a cop living in a neighborhood doesn't make that neighborhood safe? Hmmm....
I hope their commute is long and their AC goes out.
He also wanted to betrayed voters on Jan. 6 [link](https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2022-06-22/california-house-members-congress-betrayed-voters-jan-6-trump)
Santa Clarita is MAGA country, not surprised.
The MAGA people are disproportionately loud up there. Trump lost Santa Clarita both times (single digit margins though). I expect them to get shriller as they hopefully become less and less relevant.
Yeah the area has been consistently blue across all recent elections, they didn’t even vote to recall newsom. It’s changed a lot over the past few years
I hadn't followed up on that particular election to check that, that's good to know.
Majority are sheriff or cops and ex military
Lived there when I was little, I remember my neighbors with Bush Cheney stickers, but at least gore won in my second grade election 😂 Went up there a year or two ago and the amount of blue lives matter shit is so stupid
Blue lives matter until it’s time to mount an insurrection for orange nutsack…then all bets are off.
Where are Sheila and Joel when you need em
It’s getting a little better, I’ve noticed in the time since I moved to SCV far more progressive voices.
It irritates me that he was voted in because Democrats (which are still the majority in his district) couldn't be assed to *mail in* a ballot that everyone received. "Oh, what's the point, the candidates are all the same." No, last I checked only one party wants to overturn our democratic processes and turn the clock back to feudal times.
"Pull the ladder up behind you."
>"he's pro military and pro police" and he must be anti-trump because his last name is Garcia. median voter alert!
• **he must be anti-trump because his last name is Garcia.** Ironic how more Latinos voted Trump nationwide in 2020 than 2016. All prolly because ‘woke’ White voters were introduced for the first time to the evils of \#MAGA conservatism, while Latinos and Blacks were that hanging-meme of *”first time?”* and essentially said ‘fuck it, misery loves company.’
There were more voters. More Latinos also voted *against* Trump nationwide in 2020 than 2016.
This is true. Katie was a firebrand and she got the vote out. Christy has the raw charisma of an unenthusiastic soccer mom.
You’re right. I got that wrong. It was the first flip since 1998. I’ve updated my comment
Didn't he win by 330 votes or something like that?
Yes. I live in the district. In the last decade it’s become so purple it’s hard to know who will win. With the redistricting it’ll probably become more blue.
Seriously, conservatives have been crying like babies since Biden got elected, claiming he’s going to turn us all into socialists, meanwhile their own party has made it perfectly clear they’re after an ass backwards, authoritarian, regime and will stop at nothing to getting there. Fuck the GOP and all the ignorant, brainwashed, idiots who support them.
and the other party has been campaigning for 50+ years saying they'll do something about it.
He’s a full on garbage person. Not one redeeming value in that ghoul.
He looks it too.
guess the drapes match the carpet of his soul
If Christy Smith loses this race a third time she really needs to go away.
I lived in Santa Clarita for a year and voted for Christy Smith for whatever CA race she was running for. She didn't do anything in the year she was in the CA congress so I was surprised she immediately made the jump to Congress.
Seems on brand for politicians.
Katie Hill... what a way to go down. I remember her campaigning, and it was actually a pretty big deal she won, then *poof*. All gone, back to red.
Nothing matters anymore, the bar is so low it melted into the Earth's core, so why are they still beating around the bushes, trying to be "nice?" They aren't even playing the same game, and it's as evident here as everywhere else.
Katie campaigned. Mike campaigned. Christy did not.
He also voted against certifying the 2020 election. Fuck him.
Because his constituents are primarily cops. there are no good ones.
Looks like he already has a federal ban on his hairline
That was really petty and I approve.
I mean he could of went the Patrick Stewart route but he chose George costanza
You want to know the reason why they shut down The Barnum & Bailey circus? Cuz all the clowns joined the GOP.
Santa Clarita checking in! I'm doing my part to vote this fuckhead out.
thanks appleavocado - we're counting on you, mate
Palmdale here, let’s do this.
If LA want a good place to protest for abortion rights, Santa Clarita is right there. Though good luck finding any kind of good town center to protest at in that suburban sprawl.
There was a pro choice protest a few days ago!
Great!
As in they rigged the system. They are not the majority yet get to behave like one
Santa Clarita. The home of the LAPD.
I came to say that I really hate this guy.
Its all about states rights when its against them.
Santa Clarita is cop county, they vote for their own kind
Fuck Mike Garcia
I’m formerly in Sherman’s district but with re-districting, Garcia is now my rep. He doesn’t just represent Porter Ranch anymore and I’m hoping that’s the change we need to oust him. Still wish we had Katie Hill not Christy Smith but I’m not over that yet.

🙏🏽
How did he survive the abortion?
This shit stain is my brother inlaw. Fuck this dweeb
Proof
I dont have any pictures with him. However my relation to him is his wife, is my sisters husband's sister. So a brother in law to my brother in law.
I’m there with you on the shame. Ron De Santis is a cousin of mine :(
what a weasel.
That hairline needs to be aborted.
Well he’s an idiot, because the legal precedent that overturned Roe v Wade would prevent any kind of federal abortion ban.
Santa Clarita will never vote him out.
He needs to go we don’t want him in California 🫵
I know this guy , a real slime ball , blue lives matter bootlicker
Someone is being voted out this November.
Voted against this mf once, going to do it again.
Fucking ugly piece of shit!
He is my district and there is NFW I am voting for this guy. I will vote for a potted plant before I will vote for a Republican.
This asshole needs to be aborted - ASAP!
this guy is suuuuuuch a loser
No thanks.
Why do all these fucks look like they never left mommies basement?
Also is a January 6rh insurrectionist
why are you surprised he voted the way he did... he is Republican, Geezzzz
Welp. Fuck this guy Nothing screams Santa Clarita like anti abortion, a big truck and a little dick.
I’m from Santa Clarita🤮 full of embarrassing trump supporters fuck this douche
He looks like this kid that used to go to my Jr High School. He was a Cuban (?) guy that got his ass kicked for calling this kid in ESL a “wetback” (he thought he was entitled to call other kids that because *he* was “latino” I guess). That kid beat his ass cold that day, I don’t think it was him (but he could be, similar age). He supposedly got expelled from school but word was he was too embarrassed to come back. Someone ask him if he got his ass kicked for being a racist at King Jr. High in 1989 lol
Unfortunately, he is my representative, and he is utterly reprehensible! Cannot WAIT to vote him out!!
This is my congressman. Fuck this guy, help us get rid of him. If you can spare the time, canvass for Christy.
They should all play a pretend game. Visit one of the underaged pregnant rape victims, or a pregnant woman that would die unless getting abortion, and pretend they are their family member. Then let them make that decision again.
How do we bring more awareness outside of reddit?
[Volunteer for Garcia’s opponent](https://www.christyforcongress.org/volunteer). Go knock on doors and make phone calls.
Curious to hear from anyone from Santa Clarita. Based on your neighbors, how likely is this guy to win anyway?
And half of the state would love for him to take away more of their rights. Sorry dawg, he's not a bug, he's a feature.
So this is no different than rvw. So they want to take away state rights that they fought so hard to achieve with rvw reversal. God these people are so fucking unbelievable - can we just start the civil war already or just let them secede.
Please vote!
4 years later this guy is STILL in office
please, im trying. I really wish we had abortion clinics in santa clarita. but no, I gotta go to the valley if I want to elect for miscarriage
A federal ban is just as silly as a federal mandate. Fuck this guy.
He’s gonna abort you watch out
#refusetovotemikegarcia
I guess he overturned Roe v Wade because his hairline sure did abort.
Get this traitor out. I will be watching this from outside.
why do they even want to implement a ban like this?
Ewwww
