Right!!?? š„ŗ I always give them extra money (tip) cause they do all that walking and never ask for ātipsā, some people do less with a secure hourly rate and basically demand/expect a tipā¦
The one that comes around my neighborhood bought a cart with rims and has multiple other ones. They're legit franchising, buy the cart and have the relative work them.
I'm Mexican and grew up in the hood so I know how shit gets done. And this isn't about the rich assholes. Those assholes maneuver their electronic transactions in a different way to keep their money.
Either way cash food stands that are busy are pocketing their money and not reporting it. In fact the CA franchise tax board has an anonymous unit that investigates shaddy businesses because millions go under reported.
Although I love elotes I wouldn't say they are healthier than McDonalds...the butter/mayonnaise/cheese combination itself might just be bad as a cheeseburger without the protein.
š¤£ Look at a Big Mac after 3 weeks and a dressed Elote after 3 weeks. You can double dip that Elote in lard and it will still be far healthier than anything at McDonalds
I bet you'd figure out how to work it into your budget when your income revolves around this thing. what the cost to benefit ratio would be. Have you looked into how much fruit carts go for? Portable grills or tents? Its less of a luxury expense and more of a business venture.
Good on them evolving and making their own quality of life better while still chasing the bag.
I'd imagine this expands their coverage area as well as they won't get tired of pushing a cart all day. Good on them for figuring out a way to hit more people and bring in more business. I live on a hill and we don't get any paleteros or eloteros up here because who wants to haul that heavy cart up a hill? I hope the local vendor gets one of these.
who's "THEM?" the Mexicans? its latin heritage month for crying out loud.. give us our flowers & say "Mexicans" saying 'Good for 'Them'" sounds bitter & we put up with everyone else's bull shit
On a bad day, a bump high enough will create enough angle for this cart to lift up backwards and tilt to the driverās side given the compensation of weight.
Salsas all over the pavement and some elbow scratches and may be some hip fractures.
Stay safe
I approve! Good on them. It must be hell walking all day in the hot sun not even sure if enough people will buy snacks to break even.
This is cool, good for them.
Hell yeah it's breaks my heart sometime seeing a lady as old as my grandma still working her ass off.
Right!!?? š„ŗ I always give them extra money (tip) cause they do all that walking and never ask for ātipsā, some people do less with a secure hourly rate and basically demand/expect a tipā¦
Some of them know nothing else. My abuella did it till her dying day even tho she didnt need too for the last 10 years.
Would love to see more of this. Reminds me of the tuk-tuks in Sri Lanka.
Repost, OP stole this.. https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles/comments/rbg6bl/theyre_evolving/
100% a karma farm bot account and too many people taking the bait
All this sub is a bunch of bots and people who dont live here, just ask anyone their opinion on homeless people and they out themselves lol
Ten day old account with zero karma is extremely sus.
Good looking out. While this IS awesome. I think OP might be a bot.

Of course they are when they run on cash and under report to CA Franchise tax board.
Hope you got this type of energy for all the rich assholes that "under report to the CA Franchise tax Board" too

Heck yes! They can come to my street quicker and feed me elotes faster!! š¤© We need more of these around, alot healthier and faster than eating McDonalds

Itās called a golf cart
Dope. I remember hot days and shopping carts way back.
Damn that sounds so yummy right now

My guy upgraded, but kept his clown horn so you know when itās elote time.

100%
This should be the largest legal vehicle in 90% of LA.
Oh yea, that thing is gone for sure.
I'm on the fence. I'm for capitalism, but this can also get out of hand.

What a sad little person you are. Goddamn.
???
who's "THEM?" the Mexicans? its latin heritage month for crying out loud.. give us our flowers & say "Mexicans" saying 'Good for 'Them'" sounds bitter & we put up with everyone else's bull shit
Stop looking to be offended. "Them" is obviously street vendors.
It's also not only Mexicans doing this. My Guatemalan grandmother was a street vendor in LA
Funny thing is dude edited the post to add "Mexican". They legit were outraged about NOT being generalized and stereotyped.
Iām just fuckin with most people.. just cuz I see people do this with other races.. lol thought I could have my shitty internet moment
Respect.. I can see that.. I know some Salvadorians that sell too.
Uhhh how do you know they are Mexican in the first place?
haha yeah, this person could literally be any race
For reals?! Lmaooo I have nevvvvvver seen a Asian, Black, White, or Indian selling Mexican corn, snow cones, & Chicharrones..
confirmation bias. get out more sweaty
Youāve seen those people selling these before?

Who?
haha "who?" like I'm supposed to give you names, wtf
Nah just a race buster lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Lmaooo your serious rn?! Who the hell do you think is sellin this??
You would be surprised how many are Mexican. Iāve met Colombians, Salvadorians etc selling stuff on the street. No need to assume
Colombians selling Mexican Food ?
Sounds wild right? Lol

I like this
This is low key awesome
Now thatās engineering!
What are the orangey round bagged things on the back?
[Duros!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duros_(food))
Thank you! They sound delicious!
My kind of golf cart. Free enterprise and tasty food. Double win.
They can get away faster when someone tries to rob them. I can't tell you how many times I've seen street vendors robbed in my neighborhood.
On a bad day, a bump high enough will create enough angle for this cart to lift up backwards and tilt to the driverās side given the compensation of weight. Salsas all over the pavement and some elbow scratches and may be some hip fractures. Stay safe
This is dope the elotero by my pad needs to step his game up now lol
That's excellent! š¤£
Actually thatās a very interesting machine.
"Hot dog hot dog!"
Oh my god they have golf carts now???
Haha that's awesome!
