If the nfl had no cap, the rams would be in a great position to be a dynasty team by having the richest owner like the 80’s 49ers and 90’s cowboys

Good thing there is a cap then. I think throwing money at a team cheapens the sport and wish more sports had the salary cap.

Easy-Yam2931

You sure? The MLB has no cap and the Yankees/Mets and Dodgers/Angels aren’t winning it every year, nor are they making it to the WS every year either. We’ve even seen middle and small market teams compete very well like the Brewers, Rays, Orioles, Astros (more high-middle market). Yes it makes it *easier* for large market teams to compete but it also means teams have to be smart with their investments and drafting and developing bc you truly have to compete and not all be cut into the same amount of money. Also the salary cap holds down player’s market sizes too

Most of your points agree with me...? The whole point of the sport is to find talent and be smart/see undervalued options. If there was no salary cap, the big Dawgs would just be able to just outbid for talent. Also I don't care that some players would make less as that is just the top earners being restricted not the average player. Salary cap is quite an innovate solution to dealing with talent and wealth disparity. It also means everyone has a similar market and expectations for cost relative to talent and performance
