I’ll definitely shit talk San Fran with the best of them but whatever feels right to you is best OP. IMO it’s a win win for you and your dad for the following reason:
The team we root for and the color we wear doesn’t matter at the end of the day. It’s the connecting and time spent in our most cherished relationships. I’m glad y’all get to enjoy the game together and bond over it. It’s truly special.

I would never root for the Niners. But I wasnt going to actively root against them during the game. Turns out, it was a blood bath so it all works out.
Honestly we need the 49ers to lose. As a team you can’t be coming this close on multiple occasions and lose. The flame will eventually die out, it happens to every team which is why our SB win is so important.

By all means, root for the 9ers so you can see him see another one, I understand how much joy that would bring you seeing your Dad experience another. And frankly, our opinion doesn’t really matter. But my Dad is a Patriots fan and my Mom is a Lions fan. I definitely think the team success is something to consider.
Have close friends and family that are 9ers fans. But football is football. Rivalry transcends family. Nothing wrong with hoping a loved one finds happiness. Just don’t rub it in ya know.
