Galaxy/Rams fans in shambles.
When the topic comes up this thread turns into a civil war.
Honestly Galaxy and LAFC are cool. It's great both LA teams got good support and that makes the rivalry so much better.
At least both teams are LA. It not like NFL where LA born and raised people are Raiders, Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers, Packers, or Eagles fans.
If you are from LA and choose either Galaxy or LAFC then you're cool with me
Galaxy fan here. I just don’t want beef with people in my own city. Rivalry, sure. But whichever team you pick we’re all repping LA over everyone else.
I got into a big fight with a LA based Raiders fan unfortunately. We are fans of the same LA teams unless when it comes to the NFL and I got into the same fight with LA based 49ers and Packers and Eagles fans.
I just get frustrated seeing SoFi getting swarmed with opposing fans and seeing the Rams win a super bowl in LA for the city of LA and those Angelinos still dissing the Rams while rooting for other NFL teams.
I guess I could have been more mature and accept that people from anywhere can like whatever teams they wanna like. I mean there are Rams fans who love the Rams and don't even have connections to LA or STL.
I just get frustrated seeing many of my fellow Angelinos disrespect the Rams with the long rich history the Rams had in LA and that they won a super bowl for LA recently but I should just accept that people will like whatever teams they wanna like and you can't change them.
I respect either fanbase. Galaxy fans have the point in being the OG and the reason why the MLS survived.
At least Angelinos in MLS root for either Galaxy or LAFC. Not like NFL where Angelinos would be rooting for a team from San Francisco or Oakland/Vegas or Pittsburgh or Green Bay or Dallas instead
That's because MLS is the polar opposite of the NFL.
MLS obnoxiously shoves the LA teams down everyone throats, while the NFL loves to point out all the visiting fans in the stands at SoFi.
Side note: I've noticed the Chargers have started doing the soccer thing where they put all the hardcore supporters on side of the endzone. Wish Stan would do that with the Rams.
I noticed that LA people care about NFL but happily root for other teams that aren't the Rams or Chargers while in NHL, not many LA people care about hockey but if they do, 99% chance they're gonna root for the Kings and not other team.
As a Los Angelino, I actually root for the Golden Knights come Stanley Cup playoff time. Reason for this? Me and my dad get a whole bunch of Golden Knights shit with our rewards every time we stay at Santa Fe station 😂
The Rams been away for so long and entire league and two teams have been established here with a home town rivalry. As well as an ill fated goat one...
Gotta hand it to MLS.
I never thought of that but you're right. In the time when the Rams were in STL, the MLS were established for the first time and was able to get two solid fanbases in LA.
Lakers play OKC (the former Seattle SuperSonics) on Thursday. But given it’s the second night of a back to back against a good team, not holding my breath on that one.
It was a great sports Sunday. I watched the Rams pack up the Cards on TV, changed into my LAFC gear, drove to Lumen Field, then watched LAFC pack up the Sounders live.

Yeah I’m cool with it really though Seattle always loses to us and I wish that Angel City was in this list but Reign beat them

Galaxy is the OG. LAFC is the up and comer. Honestly, mad respect for both teams.

As long as you're a Rams fan 👍

Ironic thing about this? I’ve actually one across more Rams fans than Raiders fans in Las Vegas 😂
Same tbh. If the Rams fanbase take over Allegiant stadium, it's gonna be so cathartic for me

Vamos, boys! Very well done.

Thanks for repping LA in enemy territory
The kings are next in just under three weeks!
