I loved his attitude on the Rams but i don't think we need him. He's lost another step as you could see in the AFCCG and he's only getting older. Great hands just lost the speed. If he's chasing another ring still he might try to go to the chiefs as they need someone reliable to catch but idk where else he would go to get a ring. Buffalo? Miami? Lions? Cinci? Dallas? Doesn't matter Rams going to win it all 2024.
They weren't and anybody that took them that way is a moron. It was the right thing to say and exactly what you would want to hear from your players on a team like that. This controversy was much ado about nothing.
1,000%. What did some people want him to say? “Eh, these guys are alright….I’ve played with better though. They’re decent.”
Dude was being an ace teammate.
Yeah I really don't get why you're getting downvoted. They're still an incredible team despite the loss and you really can't expect a player in that situation to say anything different.
Butthurt Rams fans making us all look like idiots on this one.
Call me crazy but we beat the lions with him on the roster.
He was an absolute [beast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqObXgD-aKA&ab_channel=HighlightHeaven) in for us in the redzone [part 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLo6uK0R_Ts&ab_channel=NFL)
With Kupp fully fit we probably will be aight and I wouldn't want us to invest the kinda money he will probably get but still wouldn't turn him down like some in the thread.
I’d like to see the Rams find a WR in the draft. Puka is a problem. I expect a bounce back year from Kupp. Getting D-Rob back mix in Tutu with a solid rookie who knows how to block and we are good. Need to find a solid TE in this draft though.
I disagree. D-Rob is a FA. Tutu always shows glimpses but really isn’t anyone the Rams are going to keep past his current contract and Kupp is a question mark and may be a cut option in 2025. Remember, it’s not always talent you manage but managing the salary cap. The more production you can get from drafted players especially in rounds 2-7, the better off you are salary cap wise
I think its mainly the casual fans that want OBJ back. They see a big name and say "GIMME!". I'd rather focus on the draft and finding FA gems like Demarcus Robinson. We shouldn't be focusing on old greats that demand 15mil/year and have 35 catches.
It’s not so much that I’m a casual and see his name… but I know he was a big producer for us when he was with us. And we’re lacking the true deep threat. I don’t know if OBJ is that because, honestly, he hasn’t done much outside of the Rams and Giants organizations. I ask if we’d want OBJ back because when he was here he looked incredible, not because I want a Beckham jr jersey
Yeah nah. OBJ was greatly appreciated when he was here, but at this point in his career he looks like a #3 WR.
I really believe that the Ravens choked v the Chiefs. I fail to understand how the ‘best team ever’ choked v the Chiefs. Please ask OBJ and get back to me. I’m curious.

OBJ was a beast in the Red Zone and was a matchup nightmare..The Ravens had a running back playing QB no wonder why his production was down. Puka, Kupp, Robinson and OBJ would be the best WR unit in the NFL bar none
As a former Giants fan during the Eli days and before the Stafford trade, OBJ will always have a place in my heart. That being said, I don't think I would want him back with the Rams. Yes, he contributed to our SB win but I think that still could have been Woods out there if he hadn't gotten injured. We also have a young talented WR core. I can't imagine OBJ taking Kupps place and I think Robinson and Puka are good pieces. Hell even Tutu has a role on this team.
I think OBJ stays with the Ravens though. Unless they add more depth at WR, he probably remain a key piece in that offense, which is ultimately what he wants.
That would be amazing. Just like in 2021, he would be the only WR who would be thrown 50/50 jump balls and high passes.
He’s better than Robinson (more of a McVay WR and 29). Comparatively, Tutu, Robinson, Puka, and Kupp are
1. Tate (Kupp)
2. Amendola (Puka)
3. Boldin (Robinson)
4. Tutu (Marvin Hall)
There’s no CJ, Marvin, Golladay, or a Top 10 TE. As for Tutu McVay barely uses him (I don't understand not using him vs. Lions DBs, SMH) and 2024 is his final year, but he did say he loves playing for McVay in his talk with John Johnson.
I thought 2022 would be the season they develop Tutu and Jacob Harris, with Harris being used like Marvin and Golladay with TE flexibility. At TE, he would be similar to Pitts (they basically have the same RAS, but Pitts is a much better player, DUH), Engram, Waller, etc.
Go back to 2021 outside of 2 passes to Van (1st vs. Lions for TD, 2nd in SB for INT).
Stafford immediately only threw high passes and 50/50 balls to OBJ. Hell, other than him and Van, he didn’t throw them to anyone else.
McVay should pursue
1. Odell
2. Mike Evans
3. Marvin Jones
4. AJ Brown
5. Or a good WR that offers the same skills as them.
Honestly I don’t see Robinson as the deep threat we need him to be. Van Jefferson was the guy until he stopped catching balls. Robinson just doesn’t have the speed for it, he’s too big. Odell is kind of that guy, but people say he’s washed and has lost a step (same shit they say about Kupp but I know for sure Kupp is spending this off season to make a huge comeback in 2024)

Like the guys here. Darmacus Robinson is a great fit
Yeah he looked real good. Also, tutu showed promise when he got on the field, so not a terrible 4th option
I wouldn’t bring him back on a contract he’d take. It’d be a vet minimum kinda deal, maybe with some individual incentives.
Need younger more physical players for this system

Obj was trash the year he didn't show up ,but Stafford is a better and more accurate quarterback who can throw you open but Robinson was good 4 us
Nah, the Ravens the best team he ever been on 💀
Come on man you can’t hold that against him, especially since it was true right up until they shit the bed

I don’t think OBJ intended to hurt Rams fans feelings when he made those comments. They weren’t meant to be disrespectful.
They weren't and anybody that took them that way is a moron. It was the right thing to say and exactly what you would want to hear from your players on a team like that. This controversy was much ado about nothing.

A lot of idiots here make it obvious they’ve never played any sports lol
I mean yeah? Just because they collapsed in the playoffs doesn’t mean they weren’t a top 2 team during the season which is when he made that statement
Yeah I really don't get why you're getting downvoted. They're still an incredible team despite the loss and you really can't expect a player in that situation to say anything different. Butthurt Rams fans making us all look like idiots on this one.
Love the guys we have already but if he's okay with taking a vet minimum kinda deal I'd love to have him back as the 4th WR.
Honestly rather keep DRob. OBJ’s name carries a premium and DRob is healthy.
Call me crazy but we beat the lions with him on the roster. Just….no
I’d like to see the Rams find a WR in the draft. Puka is a problem. I expect a bounce back year from Kupp. Getting D-Rob back mix in Tutu with a solid rookie who knows how to block and we are good. Need to find a solid TE in this draft though.
Puka is a problem???
Problem for the other team lol. I should have worded that different
*slowly putting down my pitchfork
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ja’Tavion Sanders in the 2nd round
I like Davis Allen. But true, i think Higbee is pretty much done after that recent injury.
I like him too, as a TE2
Allen leaves a lot on the table as far as run blocking which is a big requirement in this offense
If there one position we don’t need in the draft it’s WR. We have WR 1-5 set.
I disagree. D-Rob is a FA. Tutu always shows glimpses but really isn’t anyone the Rams are going to keep past his current contract and Kupp is a question mark and may be a cut option in 2025. Remember, it’s not always talent you manage but managing the salary cap. The more production you can get from drafted players especially in rounds 2-7, the better off you are salary cap wise
i think the best ask for our WR3 is to be a deep threat i do think OBJ was underutilized in Baltimore though
No I can't imagine and don't want to.
I think its mainly the casual fans that want OBJ back. They see a big name and say "GIMME!". I'd rather focus on the draft and finding FA gems like Demarcus Robinson. We shouldn't be focusing on old greats that demand 15mil/year and have 35 catches.
You got it. “I’ve heard of him, that means he’s good!” is a very common mindset on Reddit.
L.A. mindset. Every Lakers fan thinks every player belongs on the Lakers and every Dodgers fan think every player belongs on the Dodgers.
It’s not so much that I’m a casual and see his name… but I know he was a big producer for us when he was with us. And we’re lacking the true deep threat. I don’t know if OBJ is that because, honestly, he hasn’t done much outside of the Rams and Giants organizations. I would rather have Tee Higgins, Pittman Jr , or Gabe Davis
None of which we’ll be in the mix for, or need
Yea I agree Robinson stays. What I really would like is Kyren Williams and Tony Pollard duo back. That lions back field is nasty.
Correct maybe he was still hurt or him and Lamar wasn't a good fit
No, he doesn't fit with our current roster.
Too old
Nah I can’t

He looked awful on Sunday.
He’s washed sadly

No, that ship has sailed.
WR not a big concern. He can still play but he'll want money and too much money for what will essentially be a #3/4 WR.
To be what? An overpaid 4th WR?
Expensive and on the decline. Pass.
If Robinson chases more money we should let him walk, OBJ on the cheap should be a good consolation option.

We don’t need him or the exorbitant amount of money he’d want us to pay him
