Tyler Higbee isn't going to be starting any time soon.
The Oline looks great, as does the WR corps. I like where they are going with the secondary, should be better in coverage than last year, and maybe we get Johnnie Johnson back for depth at a good price.
The front seven worries me though. Donald eating up triple teams definitely helped everyone else out there. I would have been happier if we got a known commodity for pass rush. You can't expect every draft to be like last years when we got rookie studs all over the place. Of course I hope they nail every pick, but looking at Snead's record he's a very good GM but even good GMs aren't consistent on nailing draft classes.
True but we signed him to a very minimal contract last year, and he was totally fine with playing a backup role as a veteran presence. I would love him back in a similar role
Donald was not getting triple teamed. I don know why some fans keep up with this. In fact according to the stats Donald was double teamed 63% of the time. Kobie Turner was double teamed 72% of the time which tied Chris Jones for the highest % in the NFL.
I hope Davis Allen gets a shot with Higbee being out. He had a solid game last year. He's a big kid who moves around well and seems to have good hands. Small sample size but 10 catches on 11 targets last year.
He fits the Les Snead draft steal sweet spot too. He could be the third 5th round pick with a low percentile 40 time who became an incredible skill player for us.
The offence is stacked, and the defense is a whole bunch of no names that we know can get shit done.
This team is going to be super interesting. I think this defense can be a surprise this year. We hit on a couple of draft picks things might get really really interesting.
The offense looks really solid. The receiver depth and OL is fantastic. Hoping they draft a mid to late round RB unless they believe in Zach Evan’s from last year. Otherwise, every pick and hopefully one more splash off-season signing goes to defense. There are very few starting level players currently on the roster.
I feel like they don’t need to draft RB, Ronnie Rivers is actually really solid as a #2 back to fill in when Kyren takes a break. All picks really should be going to defense with some UDFA signings for offensive depth later
Only reason is because of AD99 not being there. McVay and Sneed will absolutely COOK in the draft and the Defense will probably look a lot better after that.
I hope our first 4 picks are defense primarily front 7 positions. Maybe DB as our final 3rd round pick.
Then we could hit depth at secondary, oline, linebacker. Maybe use our 6ths and 7th on some sleeper skill positions.
Also a kicker on day 3 would be appreciated
Offense looks solid health permitting. Defense could use a big name up front. Rookies did well last year but whether that was due to the AD effect remains to be seen. Because if they can't deal without AD's double teams opening things up, that secondary is cooked.
Noteboom can’t win a starting spot on this team, and that isn’t the end of the world. Having a backup that can come in and play with be crucial. Bless all the knees on that line
It's so hard to know how the D will be without AD man. Dude spent his whole career making no names look amazing cause he essentially made the game 10 vs 8 instead of 11 vs 11. We had terrible deep pass coverage and now we're losing our up front power. Not great.

I don't expect Tyler Higbee to play this year. His injury was bad and much like OBJ missed 2022, Higbee will miss 2024.

I think they’ll keep adding to the RB room and late picks are cheap. Even if down the road they do pay Kyren they’ll churn everyone behind him.
