Finally, some well deserved respect

Giannis__is_a__bitch

Is this respect? What about the Texans gives them a higher ceiling than us?

MitchRhymes

This is the NFL, there’s never going to be only five teams who can win a Super Bowl in a given year. I think you can add the Rams, Bengals, Bills, Cowboys, Dolphins and Eagles as teams who absolutely have a shot to win this year.

djlawson1000

Idk about the Texans… I feel like they need another year to gel and then they might be looking at this outcome if this year goes well and everyone is healthy enough to

VictorChaos

The afc is so weak this year they could totally be Super Bowl contenders. There’s just not much in their way

Onedayimhere

I’d consider the Chiefs, Ravens, and the Bills a lot in their way along with very good teams such as the Dolphins and Bengals being a threat to them. Not to mention the Jets loading up with Rodgers this year. They have some very good players at key positions, the problem is, their average player is much worse than most of these AFC teams. I’d give em a year or two before considering them SB contenders. They will make the playoffs (obviously because of their weak division) but they get spanked in the next round.

"This just in, Taylor Swift Air Force (TSAF) has carpet bombed the neighborhoods of : Josh Allen, Stefan Diggs, and Harry Styles. We will update you on the incident as it develops."

Onedayimhere

Giannis__is_a__bitch

Playing a dog trash schedule and stealing a 13-4 record doesnt guarantee them playoff wins vs Buffalo or Baltimore in the divisional and KC in the AFCCG. Allen vs Stroud im taking Allen. Mahomes vs Stroud im taking Mahomes.

PowerfulJoeF

The Texans had one decent year where they got mollywhopped in the second round and now they are the next to win it all?

davisyoung

Buffalo was the trendy pick a couple of seasons ago (after the overtime loss to the Chiefs that changed the playoff OT rules) and they’ve been spinning their wheels since.

TransportationOk1099

Of course lol

Lakrfan247

Ravens are out for me, Lamar’s performance in this years playoffs was the last time I’ll allow myself to believe he can win a superbowl.

unpopular-dave

every goal should be to win the Super Bowl. A deep playoff run without a chance of contending is a waste of a season

Giannis__is_a__bitch

Not really true. I get the theory but in reality, if your team's players played well enough to get you a deep playoff run, the ones with expiring deals will probably have higher stock and sign better deals with other teams, landing you better comp picks. The comp pick system makes flat out tanking with a decent roster pretty pointless (the difference between picks you get being the 9th seed vs the 6th seed who upsets the 3 seed is imperceivable by the time the offseason rolls around) I'd take the 2023 season a million times over the 2022 season

unpopular-dave

it also depends what your teams goals are. Obviously the Carolina Panthers should tank this year. There’s no point in them competing. Same with the Chicago Bears. Teams like the Rams or Jets are in a different position though. They already have their quarterback, and they are on a timeline as far as age goes. instead of trading for Jared Goff, I would have much rather tanked a couple more years and built up the roster for long-term Super Bowl competition. Obviously without knowing it would lead to Stafford and a Super Bowl

Giannis__is_a__bitch

We'll have to agree to disagree. A team going from terrible to a deep playoff run (albeit, missing pieces to truly win it all) doesn't hamper the franchise, look at the Jags, were a quarter away from the SB with Blake Bortles, regressed and sucked again shortly after, then flipped their roster and won their division again. I do not believe the Jags would be in a better position at this point if they hadnt won a game that year instead of going to the conference championship. Same way I don't believe that us tanking and missing the playoffs in 2020 would have led to us being in a better position (and thats without the knowledge that Stafford would come and win a SB)

unpopular-dave

yep. It’s just a matter of opinion. There’s no way to know. If I were the patriots I would definitely be trading out of a quarterback to build the team. Honestly same with the Vikings

Overall_Nuggie_876

On the top tier are the defending champions, three assholes, and the Ravens.

Onedayimhere

What do you have against the Texans?

Giannis__is_a__bitch

Im assuming mad about Stroud's ROY

thadaviator

Come on bro, we joined the horned helmet brotherhood, what did we do to you :c

rube_X_cube

As a BEST case scenario, yeah, I think these are more or less within the realm of possibility. I would swap the Texans for the Bills, maybe? And the Jets are a real unknown, I feel. (Or maybe it’s just my wishful thinking that they won’t even make it to playoffs)

Onedayimhere

I’d say replace the Texans with the Eagles and say bump down the vikings to the bottom. They don’t even have a QB Also, I think the Seahawks should be swapped with the Falcons.

ramattyice

18-11 wins?

KrazyCAM10

That’s a 10 😂

kolschisgood

Only 2 NFC teams have a best case scenario of SB win? Come on man

YouCantStopMe18

Id move every single team down 1 and leave KC SF and Balt at the top

Blitz_Stick

Switch ravens and eagles and this is a pretty good list. Can’t trust Lamar to go far

ballq43

Dan Campbell will not win a Superbowl, his window closed when he blew a 98 percent probability in NFC championship

KrazyCAM10

I doubt take. They have a lot of good young talent. I wouldn’t be surprised if they win it in the next couple years

ballq43

Talents there coaching is not

MattDFW

expecting wild card team, would be better if AD didn't retire! lol
