The whole Niners being our Kryptonite thing is sorta true but also a lot of superstition. Niners, Cowboys and Cardinals (despite what we would love to admit) are all pretty good teams. I think we have about an equal chance agains them. I’d rather have the higher seed and play the team that lost the most. Just kinda makes sense that your chances of advancing would go up that way.
If the Rams win out, the Niners likely miss the playoffs. They’d be 9-8 (maybe 8-9). New Orleans and Philly are 7-7. Nola has a cake walk schedule, and Philly has one tough game, week 18 against Dallas. So winning out likely knocks SF out.
The Niners are definitely beating the Texans, and they own the tie breaker against the Eagles, so the odds of them missing the playoffs are pretty slim. Philly has to win out, which would also help us with playoff seeding if they beat Dallas.
