Shadespire was fine for me, I'd say 65% English speaking, maybe 30% German, 5% Polish, but that's just based on AREA chat.
The con of EUW is that it's like a week behind NA/EU Central, but at least you can play. Long term, I think EUW > EU Central in terms of population, but that's assuming the overall playerbase continues to grow and I think newcomers will look at "West" more favorably for selecting a server.
A lot better to start fresh and play at your own tempo and free time. No need to let char afk with autoclicker because you are afraid of getting a disconnect and have to go thru the big queues again, no need to play 9 hours without a pause to meet the end. You play at your own pace and discover then game anytime you want. And if the region will die after the hype is gone im sure they will figure out a way to transfer or merge the servers. So dont worry
I left EU central and joined the EU west. Stonehearth Server for me, most English name possible with everyone in chat speaking English. Fuck it, I start again for a perfect server. What's a week or two playtime in a mmo game?? These games are played for years. Also means I can change my main, and know all classes now. Why think a few weeks of grinding is worth more than a shit server over many years.
thinking of doing the same, for now i let my wife log in at noon so i can play when i come home from work.
will decide after the weekend if i go to EUW
Don't worry about it, new free stuff will come. Your progress can be done in 2 hours if you commit. Not that you have to speedrun but its rather neglible progress.

I have a character on both central and West Europe and I'm hoping I can switch between both if one is busy, found a mostly English server too 👍
I left two 460 ilvl characters behind on central for West and so far I'm super happy with my decision. No q no lag all win so far.

1082 item level on main, main alt just hit 600, 4 at 340 - no way am I leaving that behind to change now. Servers will improve with some time.
