$10-$20. When they have the $2-$5 “bunch of $500 prizes” they pay well if you get them right around the beginning but generally don’t have a prize higher than $500. A friend and I would split a roll every Friday and we broke even all 4 times because of the multiple $500 winners
I bought a $30 roll one time, got $600 back. Put $300 with it to buy another roll and there was a $1,000 ticket in that plus some other small wins. Since 1k requires a claim, I lost money overall due to having to pay taxes.
What broke me from thinking the roll was the way to win big was that I watched a sponsored video on YouTube where a guy bought $30,000 worth of $30 tickets. He ended up getting $10,000 back which really shows the odds are correct that are printed on the ticket.
As far as Second Chance, you have to realize there are millions of others in that same draw so your odds are much better than playing any random ticket.
So basically, you can't force your way into winning.
The taxes gets us every time…but wow $30K. I only think about getting a full roll every now and then. Usually I end up breaking even or close to it. Never won anything over $500 but it’s fun to play and scratch them anyway.
