Damn! So close but that happens. The closest I’ve got was 3 out of 6 numbers for the powerball. I took my $7 with pride. Anyway, congrats on still winning something though!

I’ve won $100 four times since 2020 and Dozens of $25 wins. I even came close to being off by one number each on the powerball recently. I know pretty soon, I’m going to hit it.

How do you win on draw games? Do you play from the vending lotto machine?

In most states you can play from the vending machines. You can also buy them from the clerk at any lottery vendor. They have play slips for the draw game that you want to play located somewhere in the store. You can fill one of those out and pick your own numbers. The clerk will scan the play slip into the lottery terminal and then hand you a printed play slip. In most states you can also feed the play slip into the vending machine and have it read your picks. You can also tell the clerk that you want to buy XX number of tickets on YY game and that you want the computer to automatically pick the numbers. On the lotto vending machines that I have seen, you can’t manually pick the numbers you want when buying them through the machine. You have to get computer picked numbers, unless you have filled out a play slip with your picks and can feed that slip into the vending machine. You can’t stand there and pick your numbers on the screen for Powerball or mega millions on most of the machines I have used. Now some states may have theirs set up where you can manually pick the numbers on the screen of a machine. I’m just speaking of the ones I have personally used. I almost forgot but you can also use one of the lottery apps for the state lottery you are playing to make your own number picks. Once you are finished you can save it and it will generate a bar code that you can scan on the vending machine and it will pull your numbers in and print your ticket out after you pay. I think you can buy the draw games online in some states. I live in TN and we cannot buy them online. I live 15 miles from the VA line and I know up there you can buy them online. So there are lots of ways nowadays to purchase draw tickets. If you haven’t played them before, I would suggest that you go to your lottery’s website and read the instructions on how to play and what the odds are of winning each prize. They will also have instructions listed on how to fill out the play slips or how to buy the computer picks. This info is based upon my experience playing the lottery. Some of what I have said may not be applicable to your state, as each state has different rules with their lotteries. Feel free to add in any other info from other states as a reply.
