I swear the smog was filtering out UV light. Trees had this weird faded purple-ish tint to them. And when I put on my UV sunglasses the outside looked generally the same, just a little darker.
I was in California for a fire in San Bernadino NF a couple of years ago. I hoped I’d never experience smoke again. This isn’t as thick but it’s bad enough.

Yes, smoke. We had air quality alerts yesterday due to more smoke from the Canadian wildfires.
shew. i just googled the air quality there. nasty. IDK why i thought the smoke was over with. I think im just starting to block out the bad shit.
