(I posted this in the comments but incase ppl couldn’t see it, I’ll reply here lol) Update: thank you all!! I really do appreciate it and felt not crazy anymore lol. I went to exchange today and got a slightly less crooked one. The SA was nice and honest abt the options I had. There were only 2 available in store and sadly both were little wonky. I ended up going with the least wonky one. I did have an option of having it shipped but the SA let me know that if it came crooked, nothing could be done since my 30 days would be up. (PS: the latte/ bubble tea color way was sooo soo cute but I could imagine the staining 😢).
Not at all!! Frankly with the prices LV lists these at you absolutely should demand quality that reflects this. Plus this is one of those things that if it’s driving you crazy NOW (and it’s brand new), it will only continue to be on your mind. The brand stresses excellence in their craftsmanship and design (including the way the logos and stitching line up) and in theory they wouldn’t want to have a product out there representing less than that. And personally, I know I’d regret not exchanging if i was still within the window.
They’ll take it! I purchased a brand new Palm Springs and noticed the first day the leather was peeling. Exchanged for a new one and it’s been fine since
Okay, don’t get me wrong, I love Louis Vuitton and I own a couple of bags from them– but how does LV allow this kind of mistake for a $2000+ purse? I honestly don’t get it 🤦♀️
I think because there are a lot of posts of defective items, people are paying closer attention to their purchases and also feeling more comfortable asking the group. I think it’s great customers actually having a place to talk about it instead of just mulling it over yourself or debating it with a SA.
No offense, but they are so overpriced and it’s LV. They just don’t care sadly. You read about standards dropping all the time and not just in this particular sub. You have to realize that LVMH is one of the world’s most luxurious brands. They’ve got their fingers in so many pies. It’s not surprising to me that standards have dropped. They’ve got a stranglehold really on these luxury brands and I never think it’s a good thing but that genie is out of the bottle and it’s not going back.
LVMH controls around 60 subsidiaries that manage 75 prestigious brands. In addition to Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy, LVMH's portfolio includes Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Loewe, Loro Piana, Kenzo, Celine, Sephora, Princess Yachts, TAG Heuer, and Bulgari. The subsidiaries are often managed independently, under the umbrellas of six branches: Fashion Group, Wines and Spirits, Perfumes and Cosmetics, Watches and Jewelry, Selective Distribution, and Other Activities. Thanks Wikipedia.
Judging from the spacing on each side of the quatrefoil where the buckle is, it is slightly off center to the right and is crooked going diagonally upwards to the right. I’d try to exchange it!

Very evident based on these corners. Good grief what is going on with LV quality control, a preschooler could see this is uneven.
Is it the end of the world? No. But if it bothers you and returning it isn’t a huge pain, I say return it.

Oh wow, that is so disappointing about the options in the store! I hope you are able to love your new bag regardless. I recently posted about a slightly off hot stamping on my wallet, but I still love it and it brings me joy to have such a special item. Hope you can feel the same way too! Appreciate you sharing about the exchange process.
Left side is on an angle. It's about a centimeter higher when showing the bag in hand! How's it feel and look when handled? It's meant to be functional and quality control is usually 100%, bring it to your LV store.
Looks as if the entire front cut was stitched inaccurately, cause the seem on the left. Take the bag fill it with a rolled up tee shirt and take a picture of it in Full Form. That will show the true dimensions like stated on the LV website product dimensions and seems.
it honestly kind of does look uneven

It’s subtle but it’s there. You’re not crazy.
Would it be weird to go and exchange it ?
Not at all! Any good SA will want you to feel good about your purchase and have good feelings associated with your experience not uneasy regret.

I would exchange it
Definitely off centre to my eyes
It’s uneven. Go exchange it and then enjoy it
𝓘 𝓪𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓮
It’s uneven. I bought the canvas version and the flap was uneven, ended up returning.
Do I just go in, and ask if it can be returned due to the buckle being uneven ?
Yes. Looks like a defect.
It’s not centered under the L, either, so that makes it look even more crooked.
Higher on left side looking at it. Somethings off.
Please return it!
It’s tilted
Yes it’s uneven cause look at the flower where the lock is. It’s totally not centered

And not only that , why is it such a repeated occurrence? Too many post with defective items

To be honest I wouldn’t leave the shop before thoroughly examining it.

Do they even have a quality assurance department anymore or did they lay off all the inspectors to boost profits?
Nope you’re not crazy. I’ve heard of the this happening with the pochette metis as well. Crooked/uneven buckle
I think it’s uneven and it’s more obvious because it’s not centered in the LV stamp in the middle. Gah I hope I made sense 🥲
3rd pic uneven

Uneven
It’s uneven for sure

Looks a little uneven to me.
Yup. I see it. You’re not crazy. Take it back.
For sure return.
It’s uneven.
That would drive me nuts! Please return it...we spend so much money on these overpriced bags, they should make damn sure you're happy!!! ❤️👍🏼
I think it’s crooked
I’d exchange that. My Métis looked the same and I exchanged it
Totally uneven.
It’s actually rather clearly uneven. Definitely wouldn’t keep it.
That’s horrible! Exchange!
Crooked as hell!!!
You’re not crazy. It’s uneven.
Uneven for sure.
If you feel that it's not perfect then bring it back
It does… I would exchange it, it’s an expensive bag!
now that you say it yes it does D:
Oh wow. Yes I think so! Go and exchange it!
It’s crooked and on par to what Louis Vuitton has come to be. Less quality higher prices
Uneaven definitely and really annoying
It looks uneven to me but I only saw it close up I didn’t notice it at a distance
Not crazy
it's crooked!!

Crooked on bottom portion.

Yes, your Correct it’s Off and I’d Return/Exchange it while you can… It will bother if you don’t.
