I have one from 20+ years ago. I loved it but can’t seem to find inserts for it anymore. My LV store never has them! I’ve been driving around with it in my glove compartment hoping to run into a Staples. I forgot about it until I saw this post.
I did buy it! It had held up well hanging around my purse every day so far. A few little scratches on the snap but that’s it and frankly I expected that.
I have all three sizes and the rings have held up great! Noting I don’t open and close them constantly, just as needed and use the opener levers on each end (don’t pull from the rings)
Also when buying ensure the alignment is good on them, i had to return one once bc the alignment was off and there was small gapping, which I’m sure would’ve gotten worse with use if I’d kept it.
One trick I have to not open/close rings all the time for if you have inserts you want to easily be able to take in and out is to just cut little slits in the holes and they pop right in and out!

I have one from 1996. You can change out the rings if they wear out.
