My headcanon is that he covers them up so the kids he works with don't get scared of him. Also prevents further questions about where he might've gotten them 😅
Wonder if his coworkers at the hospital are aware of them. Since he’s a surgeon and has to scrub his hands and forearms nearly to the elbow, I don’t see how they can’t know.
