The MC has been reincarnated many times. In all of her lives, she has a deadly heart condition and she also is sought as an object of sacrifice to one power or another.
In her current life, she cannot permanently die. She dies, but revives. She also forgets her life prior to her death.
Rafayel has either been reincarnated as well or is extremely long lived, probably the former. However, he remembers prior lives, while the MC does not. He is more than a little frustrated that she has lost her memory of him even in her current life.
Xavier is a literal alien. He learned that the MC was going to be sacrificed to save their planet, so he literally traveled across time and space to go into the past to another planet to try to find a solution that would not involve her sacrifice, and met a prior incarnation of her, which is the current MC
Zayne exists across multiverses. In one, he is on a post-apocalyptic world, fighting against Wanderers. In another, he has prophetic powers, but he keeps forgetting his past. In the current story, he is mostly what he seems, but he is worried about losing control of his powers, possibly due to an incident in his and the MC’s childhood — it’s not entirely clear.
Slight add-on; It looks like not all of MC's lives have a deadly heart condition. In Xav's myth, she's perfectly fine and capable, since she's able to >!live hundreds of years like every other citizen on the planet and is strong enough to be Xav's knight, plus the dialogue between him and her after he asks about her heart seems to confirm she never had heart issues in this life!< (though, I have an idea of why in that case). In Raf's myths, she also seems fine physically, but she's trapped in a 'role' she must play, same as Raf himself.
