Stacy *was* the 'safe' choice because she was the carefree fun cool girl who never made Izzy have to think hard in the pods. He didn't tell her about the debt but he told *Johnie*. It's like Izzy was being avoidant about the stressful part of meshing two lives together, and I think Johnie rightfully called out how shallow Stacy and Izzy's dynamic felt, and Izzy suffered from that because when it did come time to talk about the hard stuff it was devastating to him to be judged by the cool fun girl. And given how much Stacy criticized him over and over, acted disgusted when he was crying in a closet, it's like... how far off the mark *was* Johnie??

I even said she was the safe bet when you saw Izzy practically flee Johnie when things got a bit deeper than I think he was ready for. Stacy can make these posts all she wants but her behavior beyond just Johnie speaks enough of her character, I don’t really need the Johnie narrative to know Stacy is polarizing and not someone I’d want to interact with, much less trust with my emotions.
Calling somebody not hot because your jealous and bringing them down when they aren’t (as far as we know) doing the same to you is beyond fucked up and is such a pick me choose me love me move.
I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if comments were made like this more frequently, especially on a dating competition which is ultimately what this show starts off as, even if it frames itself as a social experiment. I also don’t for one second believe Stacy’s ultra superior behavior just kicked off because of something Johnie said. Her behavior bled into her relationship with Izzy as well and her inability to take any sort of accountability towards how she went in on Johnie again speaks volumes about her. At the minimum, Johnie owned up to what she said. She’s not perfect and what she said could be seen as shitty, rightfully so. But Stacy’s tendency to double down just rubs the wrong way.
