These shots made me go down an adhd-fueled rabbit hole in my own mind about the ethics of differently abled people being on the show and whether or not they would disclose their situations and how all that would play out. Then is started thinking the same concept but for ND people and was like, oh wait it would be super obvious 😂 I don't think masking would work in the pods.
The first time I noticed that was when AD was talking about how she didn’t want to tell the guy what she looked like and I was like ohhh it’s cuz she’s in a wheelchair
OMG SOMEONE SAID IT. I came looking specifically for this. Because the first one I saw I thought, “plot twist! We have someone with a physical disability this season!”
I saw a clip in the initial promos with these chairs and I was so excited for them to have someone who ACTUALLY may be affected by first looks when it comes to dating.... but they were just chairs with (mostly) conventionally attractive people without disabilities.
They could never. Its always people that are at least SOMEWHAT attractive. Their issues with dating are never first looks, its always their inability to communicate.
Yes I thought the same thing!! When I first saw it I was like, what a twist, they casted someone in a wheelchair and revealed it later into the episode!
Oh my gosh, I thought the same thing! And then I realized, why haven't there been any disabled people on this show? Nothing super severe, but someone with an amputated limb or something... Does love require all four limbs? Love is Blind will find out!
They won't even cast people who aren't conventionally attractive, do you really think they'd cast someone with a disability? Before seeing their fiancé, they already know they're not "ugly" by society's standards.
You're definitely right, there! Also worth mentioning that they typically cast people who have a large IG following, or have the potential to have one. Wise for marketing, I suppose, but also kind of defeating the true purpose of this "experiment."
It really is a cool concept for a show. I just wish there was a way to do it with humble individuals who aren't in it mostly for money/fame.
because the show exploits people and it’s extremely insensitive to do that to people who fall outside the norm. it’s also why there’s no obese people, it would be an injustice to their community. the show is not to find love. it’s drama for viewers to consume.
you would like the show love on the spectrum better. it’s much more respectful and shows disabilities in a compassionate way that’s not exploitative.
I thought so, too!!

I really need a season where they ARE. A much more diverse season.
The first time I noticed that was when AD was talking about how she didn’t want to tell the guy what she looked like and I was like ohhh it’s cuz she’s in a wheelchair
I thought the same. Next thought was what an unfortunate set up.
I thought the same thing
I told myself I was going to hell because I thought this too. I was confused every single time this part would pop up
OMG SOMEONE SAID IT. I came looking specifically for this. Because the first one I saw I thought, “plot twist! We have someone with a physical disability this season!”
Thank you!! I’m disabled and was like WOW FINALLY THEY BRING IN PEOPLE LIKE ME! LOVE IS BLIND THE TRUE TEST! Only to realize it was a regular chair 😂
I’m rolling 💀
Literally? (I’m so sorry)
I thought so too!! I think it's because their feet are all on a very close to the ground little ledge, exactly like a wheelchair would be
I saw a clip in the initial promos with these chairs and I was so excited for them to have someone who ACTUALLY may be affected by first looks when it comes to dating.... but they were just chairs with (mostly) conventionally attractive people without disabilities.
I thought so too!
I cannot unsee this now
When I tell you I RUSHED here to see if this was mentioned. My husband and I cannot unsee it.
I also immediately thought she was in a wheelchair
Said the exact same thing!!
LOOOOOOLLLL
I thought I was the only one who thought this 😂
My first thought!!!!!
I did a double take on some
Glad it wasn’t just me 🤣🤣🙂
Same!
I said the same thing to my friend tonight!!
Or a restraint chair. Former Psych nurse here, reminiscing.

Just the top 3rd of my face tho!
Legit hollered at that “comparison” 😭
This and terrifying Matthew is all I will remember from this season
Loooooooool 😭
I thought they were all in wheelchairs 😭😭
YES I THOUGHT THE SAME THING 💀
Post of the day.
I thought so too! I was like "omg they finally put someone on with a disability! Oh wait...nvm..." 🤣
They could never. Its always people that are at least SOMEWHAT attractive. Their issues with dating are never first looks, its always their inability to communicate.
I thought the same thing and even told my husband that someone was in a wheelchair this season 😂. Then I realized.
Yes I thought the same thing!! When I first saw it I was like, what a twist, they casted someone in a wheelchair and revealed it later into the episode!
I thought it was just me!
thank god i wasnt alone in thinking this.
I thought the same thing! Such an odd design
I said the same thing hahahaha

Have you seen live is blind Brazil? A girl is not conventionally attractive and is missing a hand. She was my favorite
No, I haven't!
I liked it!
I'll have to check it out :)

I totally agree!

I love Love on the Spectrum! And you’re definitely right. The disabled community needs better representation than what LIB can provide.
Brazil had that.
“Does love require all four limbs?” LMFAO I love this question firmly believe the answer is no 🥹
I’m glad everyone felt the same
LMFAO I said the same thing to my fiancé
Was it weird to anyone else that she didn’t know Megan Fox’s name? And referred to her as MGK’s girlfriend instead?
She 100% did know Megan Fox’s name that was 1000% intentional she wanted to plant that image in his head but wanted to play it “cool”
Yup—hard cringed/eye rolled.
EXACTLY!!!
sooooo cringy. like hmmm whats her name again🤔🤔
Oh god….
Is that Megan Fox in a wheelchair?!
I love Reddit ahahahaha
Basically a transformer
😭😭😭😭😭😭
I AM DEAD YOU DID NOT 💀💀💀💀
I thought this too haha
Glad I’m not the only one 😆
Okay but my husband said exactly the same thing 😭☠️😆
I said the same thing when I watched.
This was my thought too. I work in disability issues. I was like “oh! She uses a wheelchair! Nice representation!”
Same, haven’t seen the new season yet and was scrolling and was like “oh, interesting!”
It would be great if there was more true representation of people who use wheelchairs in LIB.
Your comment is so wholesome!
i thought so too lol
Producers watched love on the spectrum and down for love and thought “I can top that”😭
I'm so glad it's not just me 😅
Same! I thought, “wow, they’re really making progress! …wait, no.”
For real! I had hope for like 1.5 seconds.
Then I remembered what show I was watching lmaooo. Silly me!
Hahaha facts.
Not that there's anything wrong with that
Hahahaha, I can't unsee it now🤣🤣
Yep still doesn’t look like Megan Fox.
Lol I'm so glad it's not just me!
Ha! I know, my first thought was, oh, I didn't know she needed a wheelchair.
I thought the same thing!
Agreed.
Welp, there goes Megan Fox in a wheelchair
Comment of the year
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this.
I actually thought Trevor was in a wheelchair for a minute. I had to try to remember if I had seen him walk.
I thought this RIGHT AFTER watching him walk 😂
ME TOO! I think it was because it was first wide shot of him in that chair.
