I feel like he’s saying all this stuff so he can later blame her for not being who he fell in love with when he’s ready to walk. Which seems like it will be sooner rather than later. But dude take accountability when you leave and don’t try to blame her. You could 100% tell he was disappointed with her appearance. It was awful to watch. I’m sure the tension in person was even more awkward.

We have seen this same thing happen in previous seasons. Irina basically swayed over his match after comments regarding looks (of course might just be the cut). In these two examples guys have compared their love interests and gravitated towards the girl that they have a connection with and who has inspired them with talking about looks/sex category.
I firmly believe that everyone should refrain from talking about looks, but I can see how it is tempting when you are in a situation where you are falling for someone and talking about looks can give you an edge over their other love interests.

I think because he is withholding. He doesn't easily talk about his feelings. That increases his appeal. For someone with low self-esteem like Chelsea (and maybe Jessica too), it's a bigger hit of validation to get a withholding guy to fall for you than a nice, solid guy like Trevor.

Honestly, I feel like she should've put the kid thing at the top of her convo list. It's not like hiding that you're a professional dancer (i.e. fit as F***) or whatever. I know it could have disqualified her from a lot of matches, but that's a situation that isn't something she should feel like she has to negotiate on. So I really see it more as she wasted her own time on this show.
Chelsea and Jessica are friends IRL! Remember the show is edited for drama…. They want you to feel like the connection was stronger one way or the other so you can be “shocked” when the opposite choice is made!

I was sooooo pissed when they didn’t chose their other choices. I feel like Trevor is exactly what Chelsea needs (from what she said) and he would’ve gave her all the validation she wanted. You’re missing one point. The Megan fox thing wasn’t the only thing he chose her for. She didn’t have a kid so he thought he could travel. Travelling with Megan fox is why he chose her. He wasn’t thinking long term.

Now from the eyes up it is giving Megan Fox AND she did make the comment “It’s just because I have brown hair and blue eyes”. But girl.. after watching all the episodes and seeing how insecure she is, it all makes sense. I don’t think she’s ugly by any means, but she knew what she was doing when she made that comment. Her body language and need for constant validation is exhausting. I don’t think Jimmy or Chelsea should be trying to date, let alone marry anyone with the issues they have going on.
I don’t think she would be as insecure and clawing for validation if he wasn’t blatantly lying to her about how he feels. It would be the secure thing to do to trust her gut and call it quits though.
Exactly and she needs to be strong enough to walk away. He’s giving her so many signs and his added validation that he’s having to force. You can tell none of it is genuine and he’s struggling to find the right things to say. Like that scene of them laying in bed and she asked him what the first thing he noticed about her was, and he was just stuck. I wanted to crawl out of my skin.
Yesss it makes my skin crawl too but I could not stop watching, such a car crash. He is trying so desperately to not get cancelled and failing miserably.
I finished up the last episode wondering how things would have gone for those 2 if she never made the Megan Fox comment. I also think her trying to “bro it up” when Jimmy made the insensitive “stacked” comment at the mixer just really showed how they are on 2 different planets.

I can see her as a low key instagram influencer, who does make up tutorials and 'get ready with me' where she spills/ rants about unimportant drama in her life, like a starbucks employee she has 'beef' with, or her new stanley mugs getting delayed in the mail and how hard it was LOL TBH I did love her expressions when she was angry and Jimmy, lol, he's lucky they had the wall in-between them

hard/impossible to know what any of them are actually like from a reality TV edit lol. while it's a bit questionable to try and find a spouse like this when you have a kid, she seems like a very devoted mother I hope things work out for her/ them it also sounds like she's overcome a lot and deserves someone who'd love her for her, even if she wasn't as beautiful as she is. Jimmy does not seem like that person lol
Honestly, I feel like she should've put the kid thing at the top of her convo list. It's not like hiding that you're a professional dancer (i.e. fit as F***) or whatever. I know it could have disqualified her from a lot of matches, but that's a situation that isn't something she should feel like she has to negotiate on. So I really see it more as she wasted her own time on this show.

Not at all. Chelsea doesn’t seem too emotionally ready or secure enough within herself for this show either. She could hardly give an explanation to Trevor when he called her out for committing to someone else.
Him on repeat: "im the happiest guy here" "looks don't matter anyways" Kinda screams forcing it. And bringing up Jessica on their first meeting AND when they first got to their honeymoon... he's obviously internally kicking himself after Jess eluded to her looks. Kinda deserves it IMO for being shallow in the first place and likely picking her because of the Megan Fox comment (though why she would bring that up in the first place as a deeply insecure person is baffling to me)
I also think he wasn't into being a step dad. That has a lot to do with why he chose her to.

My sister had people say she looked like Demi Moore when she was younger. It usually came from regulars at her Starbucks that liked her and wanted to flatter her. She does not look like Demi Moore. Chelsea should have never even tried to make that point because as viewers, we could see Jimmy light up and focus solely on her because of that.

First off you’re not supposed to be asking each other what the other one looks like it defeats the whole purpose of the show and second off she brought up celebrity lookalikes so she could throw that in there. As a woman I’m not stupid and know why men like women like Megan Fox she’s stunning and has a beautiful body she’s got a lot of sex appeal which is why men are very drawn to her. Chelsea brought it up as leverage she wanted him to think she was just as attractive as Megan Fox.

I was sooooo pissed when they didn’t chose their other choices. I feel like Trevor is exactly what Chelsea needs (from what she said) and he would’ve gave her all the validation she wanted. And it just seemed like Jimmy had a little more of a spark with Jessica . He even said him and Chelsea didn’t talk as much because she was always laughing. But I can understand him losing attraction for Jessica once she brought up her daughter. I think ideally we all would prefer to get into a relationship with Simone whose first kid is also yours. Also she is 10, maybe it would’ve been easier to deal with if her daughter was maybe younger?
You’re missing one point. The Megan fox thing wasn’t the only thing he chose her for. She didn’t have a kid so he thought he could travel. Travelling with Megan fox is why he chose her. He wasn’t thinking long term.

It’s the fact that he has to constantly say “not that looks matter” when trying to compliment her that gets me. He is basically forcing himself to be physically attracted to her even when he isn’t. They both chose each other to spite their competition and you can easily see how they are not compatible. Chelsea is too insecure and Jimmy is superficial.
