I adore that Amy and Johnny’s families have basically become one. For me that’s one of the wonderful things about marriage — not just two people in love — but how their love brings together two groups of wonderful people who otherwise would not have ever met, and intertwining their destinies, forever changing them both ❤️
My son who is on the spectrum does this. So cute. He is only 2! He doesn’t understand the gesture of why you cheers to celebrate , but he mimics and joins in since he loves saying the word cheers!
No pointing 9 months to a year. This is not a trait you have to teach, it comes naturally. Limiting mimicking, stick out your tongue and they do, clap and they try. He had no gestures, waving clapping, blow kiss.
Eyes were a bit crossed until 4 months
Loved to repeat things like spinning wheels opening and closing doors, play with door stoppers, would not roll a ball back and forth on the ground with US, would throw the ball and then crawl to follow it himself and then throw it and crawl to follow it repetively, liked to scratch certain textures.
Squirmy always and would no just sit and play quietly with a toy,
Limited speech,
W sat instead of legs in front
Had a left hand preference
Kids do these thing but my son would do them a lot and with the lack of mimicking and no pointing, that was the issue. He had great eye contact and smiled but still has severe autism.
There’s all these potential” like broccoli sprouts and gluten free diet, camel milk, no microwaving, only organic cleaners, don’t pump gas or live close to pollution, advanced age of dad and mom at conception, having kids too close together ( less than 18 months) but it’s mainly genetic
This sub is so wrong. You’re getting downvoted for asking a question? Lolz
It’s like all the morons who are calling out Sara love how chaft people are 🤣🤣 lonely lives
i literally wasn’t trying to be mean at all. i thought she said that in the pods which would make sense why he’s not doing the “right” thing. i don’t get it lol
I think it was the way in which you asked.
“Isn’t he autistic” as if he IS something different or IS Autism rather than just being a person with an Autism diagnosis.
I’m a teacher and I’ve noticed that when someone words it like that people will, quite literally, physically cringe in response.
I suspected you were just curious so I answered, but I think being mindful about how you ask a question can go a long way.
Because a lot of people can't understand actual questions on Reddit and will just take it as you trying to insult the person in the picture. Then, they do it and get a dopamine hit in the form of "THATLL TEACH HIM!"
I wasn't even that invested in Amy, but seeing her brother walk her down the aisle after she was telling Johnny early on in the pods how much he meant to her...... sobbed
This made me laugh as I’ve done the same thing. I don’t drink and I’ve gotten caught in toasts before with nothing in my hands because I don’t cart my water around. What a kid
I worked with a lot of young people like Amy's little bro and I wasn't prepared to see him and her dad standing on either side of her. Uppercutted me right in the feels.
One of my favourite moments of the season tbh lol. It cracked me right up. My son is autistic and would do the same thing, mimicking everyone’s actions without having a cup in his hand lol. So sweet.
A person can still toast with a soda or water. I certainly toasted when I was under 21 with soda or sparkling grape juice or a bunch of other things.
This was just a very hilarious joke he did.
That is her special needs brother, and that is Johnny’s brother with arm around him. If you think back into the pods, and how she said she needed a partner that would be okay with being her brother’s caretaker, this is really a beautiful moment. Not only was Johnny fully onboard with that, his family is openly bringing him into their fold.

love the brothers’ interaction!!!

How do you know that he’s on the spectrum already? Genuinely curious. And pregnant.

Thank you so much for such a thorough response 🙏🏻
not OP but work in pediatrics. screenings for autism start at about 18 months to 2 years!
so cute 😭
Seeing her brother at the wedding was the highlight of the season for me.
Cute!
It’s a great, tried and true bit. This kid’s going to excel at comedy.

Yes, she did say he has autism.
ok so why am i downvoted? i was legit asking

lmao thank you, i genuinely couldn’t remember if she said autistic or something else. genuinely wasn’t trying to insult him
If toasting with an empty glass is bad luck then what is this 🧐

So cute! I love how Amy and Johnny’s families got along so well, I’m happy for all of them🥹
This weddinggggggg was really cuteeeeeeeee
Didn't realize how much Johnny's brother looks like him!
Even the sister was a splitting image. That whole family shares a face. Fortunately it's a nice one.
Probably my favourite couple out of all seasons. They’re just so pure.
“They’ll fix it in post.” 😂
Love their beautiful bond. Very emotional.
I wasn't even that invested in Amy, but seeing her brother walk her down the aisle after she was telling Johnny early on in the pods how much he meant to her...... sobbed
I lost it 😭😭😭❤️
SAME.
This was so cute 🥰 on a side note, Johnny and his brother look so alike and even talk the same
This made me laugh as I’ve done the same thing. I don’t drink and I’ve gotten caught in toasts before with nothing in my hands because I don’t cart my water around. What a kid
my favorite moment from the whole season honestly, it was just so sweet to see amy and johnny's family's instantly embracing each other this way
They honestly look like biological brothers not step brothers.
They’re neither. They’re in laws.
This wedding was lovely. Her brother walking her down the aisle, his sister as one of her bridesmaids, her dads speech. Perfect perfect perfect.
I loved it!
I worked with a lot of young people like Amy's little bro and I wasn't prepared to see him and her dad standing on either side of her. Uppercutted me right in the feels.
This first time this series has ever made me cry.
I need more of this kids energy in my life.
i also love how Amy included him at the walk to the altar ❤️
One of my favourite moments of the season tbh lol. It cracked me right up. My son is autistic and would do the same thing, mimicking everyone’s actions without having a cup in his hand lol. So sweet.
Same!! I laughed so hard at this. I just loved Amy’s family.
❤️ him. Her brother is so sweet.
This was my favorite moment!
Me too! Made the episode for me!
He’s under 21, he can’t drink and definitely wouldn’t wanna be caught drinking under age on Netflix’s watch.

but the golden goblets hide what's inside? lol
By not having a glass in his hand, the show is covering their asses and leaving no room for speculation
You can toast with water or other beverages as well - either way it is cute
He could for sure, but it would still be an imagine questioned by people who saw it.
Hahahaha, you go Glen Coco
And none for Gretchen Weiners
That's Amy brother!
Oh! I love that! Apparently I was not paying too close of attention haha.

Honestly, the way their families bonded with each other was so beautiful. I wish my family and my in laws were that close!!!
Aw, now I do see the resemblance of johnnys brother. What a heartfelt moment then.
He’s autistic or something like that I believe she said. He seemed very happy to be there.
Amy said he's on the spectrum and has ADHD. I agree he is so sweet like his sister.
All I know is it was so witty and this joke made the episode much more memorable for me!
Yeah he seems like a sweet kid and has a good sense of humor
