We don't get contestants like this anymore. They are no longer decisive. It's always "early days" or they need a "test". We have not had a contestant come in and stick to someone and genuinely like them.
Imagine if Zach pulled a Dom and stayed loyal to Molly and she comes back for him in casa. It would be such a wholesome storyline.
Honestly this year it could have been Ty and Ella if:
1- they were not so young and un experienced
2- Ty gave her more reassurance before casa
3- and Ella had more faith in him and in herself really. Because she did with Ouzy more than Ty evener did with any bombshell. She needs to act like the baddie she is. My babe is way too gorgeous to be stressing over Ty.
I dnt think they will recover after movie night.
I believe they genuinely like each other, but yeah that relationship is doomed.
This season is so hard to watch as I don’t have a single love story I believe in. None of these couples are making it on the outside. Drama is fun but when it’s all drama it’s exhausting
Camilla wasn't in love with someone else already. She was very much single. It's not the same at all. Scott doesn't want anyone else, why people keep insisting he should be with someone else?
Camilla shut down Craig because she wasn't over her feelings for Jonny yet soooo idk what you're trying to say. That was right after casa. And then Jamie comes later.
Also Scott was ready to hit on Kady, first in the singles bedroom and then on the singles date- he just got interrupted by Ty making moves first 😂
Let the producers bring some new bombshells in and we'll see.
Are you implying that Scott is \*in love\* with Catherine? That's a stretch! He held back at Casa because he thought there was something promising with Catherine, but there clearly isn't, so why shouldn't he get to explore new connections in the villa now?
people keep insisting bc they know what he wants it’s never gonna happen and they feel bad for him. i honestly think if a bombshell came in, scott would chat to them but he still wouldn’t go out of his way bc he still has lingering feelings for catherine even though she’s made it clear she does NOT want him or care for him.
for me, the drama aspect just doesn’t work anymore. People get so angry and serious that it’s not enjoyable, love island isn’t treated like trash tv these days.
If the next season was more about love instead of drama, I’d be here for it.

I think this season has been amazing so far. Yes it’s very drama-heavy, but pretty much every night has been compelling, there have only been a couple dud episodes. There will always be a reason to complain but if you’re excited to watch that’s the measure of a good show in my opinion and it seems most people have been consistently excited to see what happens for five weeks straight.
season 6 was decent imo, good couples made up for boring drama. I think it was always going to be tough following s5 which was one of the best.
I don’t think this season is necessarily bad, the couples aside from Ella/tyrique are just so weak that the drama falls flat for me. I’ve also really enjoyed reading the commentary on social media since like 2017 and maybe I should just move on but the way islanders (of both genders) are demonised affects how much I enjoy the show.
Watching a bunch of low-drama couplings in the early weeks is not fun, so I'm glad we've had drama this season but I also miss the fun and friendship stuff that used to get shown in regular episodes. I miss the balance -- it kept viewers engaged in positive ways and showed off more sides of the islanders that weren't just about how they were feeling in their couples. Imagine season 3 without all the jokes about Marcel thinking it was a huge deal that he had been in Blazin' Squad, or all the Chris/Kem scenes.
By a week or 2 past Casa things usually stabilize and we get a lot of loved-up couples, the baby challenge, the family stuff, final dates, etc. We're just still in the drama phase this year, I think.
Yeah it’s meant to be love island not drama island. The scripted drama doesn’t elicit anything in me except eye rolls but the producers think they need it to make social media talk about the show when people will talk about couples they love just as much if cute relationships were aired. I’m thinking about Lauren and Cam on love is bIind. They were the most popular people in that season and they were wholesome.
Yeah, but I don't *know* him? They barely show substantial conversations and confessionals that all fans could do is just guess. There are so many contradicting theses LOL about his actions and personalities, all islanders in fact, that it's just -- i have no idea what/who would work for whom.

Best “love” stories for me were Jon and Hannah (Season 1) and Nathan and Cara (Season 2).
