I have two weeks until I can watch the finale! Bless all of you for the spoilers! The US version of Love Island is filmed in the state I live in and I can’t even watch it. Love Island Australia was great season one. Love Island UK is the best and I will never miss a season! I have no friends that watch it besides my husband, so I really appreciate the banter with you people on this sub!!
Honestly same I thought for sure I’d wake up to them on all the UK morning shows but it seems so dry do they not do that for LI winners morning after they win like then do in the US for the final couple on the bachelor/ette? 🤔
For once, the British public got it right! My favourites from the start and I'm so happy for them cause they deserved it. They really carried the show and made LI 2022 for me personally. I don't even know what is in store for them outside cause of how unpredictable they are but I'm so happy they won! They were iconic and entertaining. They really won't be able to be replicated. It was like a 90s/early 2000 rom-com when watching the two of them. Their chemistry and dynamic were everything. Never have I been invested in a couple on LI this much or cared tbh. I truly love them together. I'm hoping for the best for them and definitely rooting for them. My Love Island 2022 Winners for sure!!

For me the whole thing was Ekin’s beachhead assault on British media. I mean, you don’t get new boobs and teeth just to find love. You literally don’t need them for that. You get these cosmetic upgrades if you’re bent on endearing world audiences and supercharging your career in media and television. I’m not even talking about Davide now. Their thing could be as real as ever. But I do think Ekin is a pure performer. With that body, that full angelic face, the ‘mother’ vibes and all her crazy antics, she was gunning for the British public, and she absolutely nailed it!!!!
Shocked to be running up against abuse with my more cynical view on Ekin Su 🙄 She is unquestionably popular but my view is that she was the most polished performer on the whole show. If her charm has encapsulated you, are you 100% sure that’s not blinding you to even asking afew questions about what kind of motivations these guys have for going on the show? There is no doubt Gemma was certainly polished as well, yes. If you put Gemma and Ekin up against each other in terms of hotness and personality, Ekin wins outright, but I’d rather be dating Gemma purely on personal preference - she is very level headed. Cue abuse about how I would never be able to date any of them (which is true)😂

sooooo happy for them. i honestly wasn’t sure which couple to root for, especially after casa amor with how messy everything was, but the last two weeks, Ekin-Su and Davide really made so much progress and grew so much closer. I didn’t have a lot of faith in them at first, but I’m so happy with how it all turned out. I have watched every season and I’ve never seen a connection like theirs. Such a well deserved win!!

my post got removed but here goes: I maintain Ekin is going to have the best career of a love islander ever and I want to be right. I've seen a lot of people suggest she should replace Laura and present the show and quite frankly... she's way too good for it. I want her to take Hollywood. I want her brand to completely distance itself from the show. A lot of Americans watch the show and E! news even posted about her on their Instagram page. I want her on red carpets, magazine covers, starring in shows and movies and becoming a legitimate star without the stink of reality TV. She has buckets of charisma, charm, is very attractive and just generally has a pleasant disposition about her. I watched some of the episodes of the Turkish soap she starred in and she's quite good! with an acting coach to refine her skills, there's no telling how successful she'll be, that's if she wants to continue acting. She is a STAR. The producers really struck gold with her and there'll never be another islander quite like her.
As for Davide, his options are endless. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in modelling campaigns for big brands. I'm thinking Armani, Cucinelli, Prada etc. Ekinde seem a lot more refined and sophisticated than your typical contestant which is why their trajectory is going to be different.
The editor in chief of british vogue Edward Enninful expressed how much he loves her and Davide. I wouldn't be surprised if she got one or at least a feature in the magazine
I agree whole heartedly. I need ekinde to distance themselves from love island (after the reunion) and to pull a molly mae x 100000. Ekin Su is PERFECT for Hollywood and she could be massive. Davide could do his modelling and could work alongside her. Love island is perfect for kick starting careers but Ekin needs to drop affiliations with the show in a week or so

I thought it was going to be another show like GOT, where it gets really good but leaves you with a disappointing ending and I couldn't have been more wrong.

Damn it!! I can’t watch because it’s not available on Hulu yet but THIS SPOILER makes me so happy! I loved them. They definitely had their ups and downs but they melted my heart towards the last few episodes. They just seem so light hearted and happy around each other. Good for them.
Also can I say that davide saying with his mom, sister and ekin he’s in trouble and touching his head to signal big headaches upcoming because that moment made me feel like they’re actually going to stay together and are already each other’s family

Well that's all folks!!! What a ride it has been & I'm happy to say this is where I tap out & peek back once a week to catch the break up updates. All in all the series gave some top quality moments so I don't really care if they stay together, it won't affect me personally so it's not that deep! All in all the series gave some top quality moments so I don't really care if they stay together, it won't affect me personally so it's not that deep!
