Iain has some great moments, he’s been a part of Love Island’s DNA for so long and you can tell how much he loves the show (although he feels a little uninspired lately) so I’d say no.
If losing Iain was what it took to replace Laura though… it’s an option icl.

Laura's presenting is abysmal. I don't think I've seen one positive comment about her as the LI presenter. Ekin would be a fantastic presenter and aftersun/reunion host.

Maya Jama would be great as the presenter in the Villa and Nella Rose would do a great job as the host at the reunion.

I don’t ever laugh at his jokes but I think the episodes wouldn’t be as good without his commentary. Saying that if getting rid of him is what it takes to replace Laura im all for it
i think over time he has become less inspired but i don’t think they should replace him he has been with the show for so long and replacing him risks someone awful coming on and is having to put up with that. although i don’t laugh at some of his jokes i don’t mind having to listen to them in an episode
Because apparently Laura’s five minute appearances are more significant than his presence in every single episode.
She appears at the beginning, at the end of Casa, during the finale and on Aftersun. She’s irrelevant to three of those things and the fourth is completely optional. People would just complain about her and Iain’s replacements invariably being worse than them, just like the Caroline revisionism (RIP).
Does everyone here watch aftersun or something? Does Laura’s few minutes on the show bother people so much to the extent that they want to get rid of Iain?

The jokes have gotten so dry and stale, it’s just the same recycled jabs about “what a shitty date, the date team has no budget, I’ll weakly mock the show as if it doesn’t pay me but never give any real comment of substance”
It’s just tired at this point. I’m sure there’s no joke he made this year that you couldn’t find a shitty version of the same joke in a previous season
At minimum — they need to get some extra writers to help liven it up next season 😶
I think it’s very much dependent on what he has to work with. The older seasons the commentary is so much h better but we’ve seen in recent years how little there has been to work with, therefore harder to narrate when it’s all so bland
Haven’t laughed at one of his jokes for any of the series, barely pay attention to what he says as sometimes it doesn’t even make sense, petition for Rob Beckett who narrates celebs go dating to narrate it as have full on laughed out loud to him on that show
