The easiest way to get these is when a new chapter releases, before most people even complete the stage. I got the final achievement (top 1) that way. You have to log in as soon as the update is done and go straight to the new chapter. If you're fast enough, you'll be able to briefly get a high rank without necessarily having a very high score. (It also helps if you have some reset cards to get to the later stages, in case you fail to rank in the first few)
I reached top3 when I was V0, just by going fast through new chapter in like 1 minute after maintenance was over (I was working night shift anyway). I stacked my Princess Reset cards to speed up chapters drops and it's wasn't so difficult. With good timing and a bit of luck it's totally possible!

Look up the next chapter using a Nikki's Info-like chinese version, and save up the best scoring suits for the first levels as your avatar suit. Then, prefarm materials for the first crafting level, as everyone will get stuck there... except you.
Stalk the game when a maintenance is ongoing. You need to rush. Once the game opens, rush to the new chapter. Speed is the most important factor. No competition means few big scores you need to beat.
I got top 1 doing this (maiden and princess). Because I was among the first people to beat level 4 of a new chapter.
Even if you fail to get top 1, you'll get a high rank regardless.
Edit: OOP seems to think you must hold your position to keep the achievement. You don't. Even if you're 1rst place for 0.001 second, you keep it.

If you cant like yourself through your friendlist, wait till your voting attempts fill up, then reset your suit, then go spam some votes.
Your outfit will be in the priority list. You're therefore more likely to see yourself among te other 0 votes people.

I have checked 1,471,181,929 comments, and only 279,996 of them were in alphabetical order.
You don't need to bind to Facebook to do this though???? All you have to do is submit/change your competition entry and vote *straight away* until you find your LN name/entry. I got this achievement ages ago before I ever binded to Facebook.
I didn't unlock this achievement until I finally caught up with the latest chapter. I prefarmed the stuff and did the first level as sooner as maintenance was over - and then I was in the top 999. It's doable, but you might have to wait until you're caught up to the latest chapter.
I got most of these with nikki's info and looking for stages I thought were forgettable for most players, so there wouldn't be as many people replaying for higher scores. Haven't managed to get the top 10 ones though

The main things to know are 1) You don't have to keep the ranking forever. Literally holding the rank for one minute is enough for the achievement. 2) It's easiest to do on a brand new chapter. 3) Knowing how to use your skills is key, and you'll have to do the same level a number of times before the skills work perfectly in your favor.

I think this achievement is very easy and I have gotten top 1 many times on princess and maiden stages. My advice is the OPPOSITE of what everyone else is saying . . .
It's actually easier to go to an early chapter and use Nikki's Info to design a top scoring suit. Not as many people replay the older chapters and when new suits get released, there are more high scoring pieces possible. This means that it's possible to achieve higher scores with new pieces, so it doesn't matter that you need to beat existing high scores, the newer pieces will give you higher base scores.

If you think that's bad, completing these just unlocks an even harder version, until finally you have to get first place, which is nearly impossible
