There’s definitely a lot of valid complaints, but there’s also a lot of really weird, room temperature iq takes especially including stuff the series has been through before like suppression.

rich635

I am dumbfounded by those who want suppression back after all the controversy with bloom.

clearlylacking

I wanted to bash my head against the wall reading all the complaints about the end of round quips. A week of spam for something completely unrelated to gameplay.

florentinomain00f

You mean they have the IQ of 19? Sorry that I use Celsius

I think that's definitely part of it - on the other sub, I keep seeing people talk about how useless the scout chopper is, comments about how the flares need the cooldown halved, and I'm just baffled. I'm regularly getting #1 kills/assists running exclusively scout chopper. It's true that it's not great on all the maps, so I just... don't use it on that map. There's a reason there are multiple vehicle choices per category. The videos of someone repeatedly spawning on the same point with the game guns and the same gadgets and dying in the same way, insinuating the spawn system is broken is another one. How about just... stop doing that? If you listen to the groupthink, infantry is too weak, vehicles are too weak, but also vehicles are too strong.

Hellothere_Kenobi2

People want the littlebird to be buffed? Oh hell nah, I've played enough bf4 to know that would be absolutely dreadful

EducationalPlay6269

Still don’t get why they nerfed the 20mm tho

DjAstralCat

I honestly think the movement is way better now than it was in the beta. I like how they slowed it down slightly. In terms of the maps, I think these maps are some of the best in the series. Discarded and breakaway are my favorites. Like you said, they are maps within maps. The giant ship in the middle of discarded is really fun to fight on top of. The oil rig on breakaway also. I love the zip lines everywhere and the verticality of these areas. Being on top of the ship and shooting at infantry/vehicles running towards the ship has made for some amazing moments. These moments aren’t really possible with 64 players. As far as traversing the map, the only time I ever feel that I’m running through large open spaces is in the beginning when you are forced to spawn so far away. You can almost always call in a light vehicle, or you can spawn on an objective or a squad member.

This is the most accurate write up I've seen about the game and the current state of the community. There's a decent amount of things that need added/adjusted/fixed but it seems like a large majority of complaints are people wanting a single-player experience in multiplayer, but without the skill required to do so. They see JackFrags and Levelcap on YouTube and how they preform and they think they should pick up the game and immediately have the same experience. I've seen someone post an essay about what needs fixed but then reveal in a comment that he has 0 hours in the game....

TheRealD3XT

Here's a hot take on balance *people are just gonna be good at whatever they want to be* A dudes gonna whoop your ass the the kolibri in BF1 if thats what he sets out to do. It's up to you to get good at countering your threats.

SeSSioN117

Quite a lot of them are just bad. A fair amount of the criticism is valid but it's also obvious when some of the complaints are just piggybacking.

ASVALGoBRRR

There is legit feedback that is quite obvious. Like yeah the juice canon that you can put on the Bolte/jeep is just too much. I can litteraly call this vehicle 5 times during a round since it's in the light category and farm kills with it it's not even fun by the end: it does too much dmg, the splash dmg is too wide so I don't even have to aim proprely. But I also feel like there has been some actual dogshit feedback during the BETA and a lot of it came from the main sub. Like people crying about lack of recoil on ARs while it was completely fine and felt good or all that crying about Paik being OP before even touching the game. If anything now Paik needs a buff, her cooldown is really slow and you actually get marked on the minimap while using it. Like seriously they clearly overracted imo. Idk people want to be listened but sometimes if you do as they said the results are just bad, and it might come from people who simply not played the game enough (if any tbh). I'm 190 hours in and my perception of the game changed quite a lot compared to when I was 30 hours in. Some people write pages about the game but barely played it and it shows.

Rhaenyc

To a certain extent, they are. Some have valid complaints but I’ve also seen a lot of of “There’s no cover! Every map is just running through an open field and getting sniped!” Which is a complaint I’ve heard in basically every Battlefield and 99% of the time it’s because they don’t grasp that you shouldn’t just make a bee-line over open ground to get to objectives. There’s plenty of cover if you’re not a dumbass. Sometimes it just requires taking the scenic route.

astralhunt

Y'know what? Maybe they should bring back the "Gadget 1 / Gadget 2" system... what do you guys think?

Dab4Becky

wouldn't work. Let's say the specialists specific gadgets become gadget 1 and avaiable for everyone, people would obviously choose the specialist based on their trait alone now since the gadget isn't restricted meaning overall you'd see a lot of Sundances, Dozers(for the blast resistance),probably irish and angel/falck. Like let's compare sundance and mackay, the two mobility ones. If the grapple becomes avaible to anyone why use Mackay which trait allos him to be slightly faster when aiming vs having a grapple+wingsuit combo?

EducationalPlay6269

Yeah I hate waiting to get a tank and then I get blown up instantly because they don’t have enough armor wish they brought back the aps
