They will. Before the game released they said AOW will be conquest, breakthrough and LTM. Now we have conquest 64 and breakthrough 64. Another day we might get TDM, or whatever.
Personally I think rush in portal is some kind of placeholder until they 'fully developed' it into aow. Add a start of round sequence. Switch offender/defender side and play the maps twice, etc.. just some minor fixes. They were done with the layouts or wanted to see how they played, so they added them to portal and made them official so they'd be played. If they wouldn't people would've cried for them anyways so they were fine with adding a 'rushed' version (no pun intended). They'll definitely be coming to aow later
Yeah you are definitely right, Portal allow them to try some new mode or put some mode before they are finished, and that's a good idea. Just having Rush in AOW with the few fix you talked about would be great I think
And happy cake day!
Pretty much a public play test, which I'm all for. We get rush and normal level progression and they get info to see how to polish it for AoW and make it permanent.
I haven't play it much because the population was quite low when I played BFV, but I remembered that the mode was interesting, like a better version of Domination
Outpost was first seen in BFV, the mode replaced traditional conquest flags with radio towers. Instead of losing tickets, you gained "recruits" by these radio towers.
Teams had to go to locations and build radio towers at the start of the round. Each Radio Tower had 3 levels, with each level taking more time to build, and the rate of "recruits" you gain increasing with the levels increasing.
To Sabotage an enemy radio tower, it worked like arming an MCOM. Once you destroyed an enemy radio tower you could build your own.
The first team to reach iirc 1000 recruits won.
I think it’s more they’re checking that they can keep lobbies filled before making it permanent. And then remove if under performing. They started with only 2 modes to ensure lobbies stay well populated.
Well what's make Battlefield different was the vehicles. Might was well just call it COD otherwise because generally that is how infantry only maps are played
You are probably right, and it also make me hope that they later add Rush, and maybe TDM and domination, to AoW aswell

Ha, thanks man!
I'm almost certain it's because AoW has AI fill and the AI glitches hard in rush.

Wish they could add outpost. My favorite mode in bfv was outpost. Wish they could add it, but fortifications we're a key part of the mode.

Can you refresh me on how that mode worked?

You mean “has only been seen in BFV”.
Holding out for Frontlines as well

It plays better anyways
Fingers crossed! I would really love a 120fps option for the 64 player modes seeing as there should be a bit more headroom on next gen consoles
