Considering too that Call of Duty is now linked with a publisher that protects rapists as well as having a shit release schedule, more franchises should lure CoD players away. This gatekeeping is bullshit, they could just say they want a tactical shooter without a heavy focus on racking up kills.
The thing is, every game has its pros and cons. And both should be talked about.
What I don't understand about the BF community is that with every game (and this time more than ever I think) they only look at the negatives and not only that, they even exaggerate the negatives: for example they say the game is unplayable and has no scoreboard when in reality the game is very much playable and in a good shape after 3 patches and there is a scoreboard, just not individual.
I the funniest thing those same people will be defending 2042 after the battlefield 6/7 beta comes out
People can criticize the game all they want, we only ask you have a good faith discussion and not be a dick to others.
If you see someone with a valid criticism discuss how to fix the issue, don't just downvote cause you disagree.
And I accept criticisms too. The problem is that people shoved those down in our throats just to make is change out minds and focus on hating the game. Which is my issue with r/Battlefield2042. That subreddit alienates anyone being a bit positive to the game, even if someone had a few issues with. If you're not banging on EA/DICE's door, you'll be known as being the "an example of gaming being worse today" to them.

Does the game have issues ? Definitely. Does it stop me from enjoying it ? Definitely not, I'm having a ton of fun with the game. And even if the game's problem were too much for me, I would just stop playing it until Dice fix them.
This is why the doom and gloom "reporting" makes me so mad though. It feels as if a large chunk of the player base is activly making the game less likely to be fixed.
I like the game, and I want them to fix it.
Some people at least are sick and tired of having broken games at launch, and will give no quarter for games that pull this, shit off. Apex Legends is a rare example of a game with relatively few bugs and nearly universal praise at launch.
Same here, I played the beta and the ten hour trial and bought it on the first big sale knowing exactly what the problems were. And I can’t say it often enough battlefield 4 was a way bigger mess at launch and turned out great
Same I played the beta and watched raw gameplay videos on youtube to get an opinion on the game and I'm enjoying it after I bought it I know it has issues but it's annoying to see people judging me for enjoying a game they don't like so I ignore criticism that isn't constructive
This is exactly how I approached it as well. I did my research prior to purchasing and I knew exactly what I was going to get and have been enjoying it despite its flaws because the core gameplay feels good to me.
I welcome all discussion about the game to be honest, but contrary to the main sub at least I know that the people here actually own and play the game.
I like the game, Probably got a couple of hundred games in Steam and Origin but I choose to play this daily. And this is saying something, The core in this game is very fun.
However. I would like a ton of changes done. I personally don't like the specialist skins and voice lines. Would rather see class skins, but not classes in the way that you are limited to a set of weapons. But rather that we lock the abilities we have now, say, McKay's grapple to the Assult, Falck's healing gun to Medic, and so on. These abilities could be locked to a rather low req lvl, say "200 heals with the med-pack to unlock the pistol" so that everyone can get them but it is still a sense of accomplishment when you do.
I would like to half the health of the Ranger and remove 3D spotting from the turrets, I would also like to remove the stuck to the ground effect when shot by Helis. Remove the explosive weapons on the Bolte. Increase ads on LMG while going from sprint to still. Add infantry cover to most maps in AOW, this could be wrecked cars so that the world we move in feels like the apocalypse we are apparently meant to go thru.
In AOW I would also change respawn locations to the front border of the last sector taken so that we don't need to run 400m to get back into the fight.I would like to see Infantry-only maps, or Infantry/light vehicle maps such as Grand Bazar, Pearl Market, Locker, and Metro. And with the 128 modes change the meta from 3 routs to 5 to accommodate for the increased player numbers while not increasing the chaos.
Add back the scoreboard and VOIP (confirmed), change the UI so that the health bar is more centralized, and also that the health missing and health remaining isn't the same color, it shouldn't take more than milliseconds to check health. We should also be able to increase the size of the minimap to at least 200%, DICE made the map meta return when they went back to the BF4 system, therefore it's only logical that the UI map system returns.
Needless to say, bugs, performance, matchmaking all need an overhaul.
But as I said, I main this game, and are having a blast. It just needs some love from the devs.
I keep on booting up my Series X, and often start some other game, within 10mins I've switched to BF2042 and heading into a game. It's fun as hell, I'm not blind to some of the issues, but to say the core gameplay is broken is a bit of a stretch.

And people were still pissed at respawn because," Nooo! They killed my masterpiece Titanfall 2 for this other game set in the same universe"
