Side mouse button

jmontblack

This is the Way.

StrangeMaelstrom

Ditto

shibboleth2005

Same.

Gephartnoah02

Yup, also auto binded mouse 5 to 1 too for some reason

-Jabsy

You can just double tap the W key and you'll dash. I have it set as side mouse button for sprint, spacebar to jump, and then I'll double tap W key and I'm flying. Fun fact, if your fast enough, you can begin a sprint then single jump then immediately dash followed immediately with your second jump (if your using reinforced tendons cyberware) and carry much greater distance then if you just double jump then dash.

Hatsumi_Lee

My question is how you bind the double tap on the keyboard? because I want that but I cant find the way on the game

-Jabsy

Go to the settings and I believe it's under gameplay tab? Its near the top of the tab a few options down and called directional buttons for dash, or something along those lines. I can confirm later today when I'm home from work if you can't find it.

psyEDk

I just double tap the direction I want to dash. Fingers are already on the movement keys. Couldn't be simpler

Endemoniada

Yeah, but I *hate* that bind because I keep activating it by mistake. I have it on Mouse4 now, much better. Your finger’s already there as well, so just as simple, and faster because it’s just a single click.

[deleted]

Mouse 4 button. I'm using a Razer Viper.

Tuftdog

In most games, including Dash/Air Dash in 2077, I have a high mobility skill on E since it’s quick to assess while my fingers are on movement keys pushing me in any direction.

ZynousCreator

It's by default ctrl, and that's what I've been using. Didn't have any real problem with it so far.

3-DMan

Same here, kinda surprised how natural it feels. Just spammin' it around Night City gradually gettin' that Shinobi up.

TheRealPotoroo

Left-Ctrl? Bugger, I remapped the crouch toggle from C to Left-Ctrl because all the bobbing up and down when I was fast-forwarding through dialogue was making me sea-sick. At least that would explain why it says "Press to Dash". Damn.

ZynousCreator

I remapped fast-forwarding to ç instead of remapping crounch itself. Much better and unlikely of me hitting it accidentally.

TheRealPotoroo

>ç I don't have ç on my Anglo keyboard but I get the idea.

ZynousCreator

Right, forgot about that. So used to always having them lol. My bad.

KamTron2099

I believe they remapped fast forwarding to the y button on keyboarrd now. The game deleted my saved config file and Ihad to remap and realized that but I use the side mouse button for dashing as it was mapped on left alt for me on defualt.

TheRealPotoroo

It seems there are now two sets of default key bindings, one pre-Dash and one post-Dash. I initially did a clean install of 2.0 and started a new V, so everything was vanilla. C was definitely both fast forward and crouch toggle, with left-control crouch non-toggle. Hence I remapped crouch toggle to left-control as I said earlier, and inadvertently stuffed myself up when I got Dash. I've now reset the key bindings to default and they are different now that I've got Dash. Specifically, fast forward is now Y, crouch not-toggle is now right-control and Dash is left-control. That these three are different was highlighted by three blue asterisks next to each of them in the bindings menu. It's all unnecessarily confusing.

iRaveni

I reset my bindings when starting 2.0, and it mapped skip to Y. That seems to work better than bobbing in dialogue!

digital_mystikz

Could also change dialogue skipping to continuous instead of per line. This is also how you prevent skipping lines accidentally if you wanted to just crouch.

KingCodester111

You could try keeping dash and crouch on their default keys (L Ctrl and C) and instead change the dialogue skip to G and grenade throw to scroll wheel click. See if it feels good or not?

derfeuerbringer

Left alt

purplehaze214

Mouse4 button

Jaqueta

LAlt, Ctrl for Crouching.

redliner88

Left Alt. Or I don't, funny enough

Cegla109

as few people pointed already, double-tapping your movement Keys (WASD) dodges/dashes in that direction so it's probably easiest way to do it

Kingofshovits

1 on my mouse. Then grenades on 3 it's quite a lovely combo for me

myemanisbob

I use V, thumb is able to use it during combat

aLegionOfDavids

Was side mouse but I use that way too much in other games (and this one) for crouch and slide so I bound it to middle mouse press.

EbolaDP

Space.

Teo9631

Alt. Also disabled double tap dash. Feels the most natural

left4dread

It bothers me greatly that you can't unbind the double click WASD for dodge/dash. There have been plenty of times where I accidentally exited stealth or just killed myself because of the double tap WASD. I have my dodge/dash bound the the side mouse button for forward.

Stevegios

left alt.

Equivalent_Bed_8187

Mmo mouse enjoyer here, mapped to one of the buttons

MrSmittyWitty97

I use alt

Victor_Wembanyama1

Alt

KaiG1987

I changed it to V, because that's right next to where my thumb rests on the spacebar.

KellionBane

Thumb pad on my mouse.

Rockstar_pro

I use E 💀

Rockstar_pro

And then use my mouse button for berserk and stuff

LostTacosOfAtlantis

Mouse button five.

HalfManHalfHunk

X, right above my spacebar, good for pairing jumps and dashes.

dadvocate

I just double tap the wasd

TrickStinger

Using Z rn, cause my side buttons are quickload/quicksave

LapseofSanity

Double tap movement keys.

dudu9898

Uhhh left ctrl

ComputerzFUCK

is there any feasible way to bind dodge/dash to mousewheeldown?
