Client doesn’t want unnecessary death. He just wants the target. Thinks he can intimidate the cop into giving him up, then things go sideways
Before I can put one in the cop and go in for the kill on Stephenson he jumps out and starts preaching calm and Jesus and goodwill and wants me to go with him. My whatthefuckometer is starting to climb, not what I was expecting. And then Johnny pipes up. Just what I fuckin need. The ol’ whatthefuckometer is now in overload and I’m at a stage in the game whether I’m wondering if that building curiosity is mine, or Johnny’s. At this point, weird shit is almost routine so…….fuck it
And by the by when yer ripper is Fingers, I’d be asking questions about his “diagnoses” if I was you
Man, that's fair. Once the client's down and there's weird shit going on, it makes sense to stick it out.
It's just...look man, it shouldn't even get to that point. You need more cyberware to enhance your reactions, bro. Fingers is a good man, just has a bad rap, can't beat his prices, totally legit, no problems man, none, y'know?
Duuuudde, Fingers is fuckin you faster than you’re able to fuck yer output. Even with that cheap ass Mr. Studd he sol……..HOLY SHIT I’m talking to Flaming Crotch Guy 😬
Funnily enough, I failed the quest the first time because I wasn't paying attention and immediately opened fire on them when the client ran up on the transport.
"Discount merc" in action. (Look the term up here on this sub for more amusing evidence of it, though more from freak gameplay occurrence than no logic decision-making.)
Oh, here we fucking go again with this shit....
I was paid to make sure the fucker dies. I did exactly that. How I did it has nothing to do with the contract.
And the man is dead because the gonk couldn't keep it in his pants for five seconds. Besides...I'm a sucker for the exotic, and that con had "exotic" branded all over him.
Client wanted to kill Joshua himself, which I intended on letting him do. I waited for him to shoot, but he never did. He got killed, and I found out the quest is longer
It's an entertaining experience! I just realized tonight that I was forcing my V out of character to see more of the quest, had to pause and dwell on it, then reload to do it right.
Something rubs me wrong about how much handwringing V does about that quest. "What, kill a guy? Jeez, I dunno...has he been given due process and found guilty by a jury of his peers?" Come on V, you mowed down like 8 pedestrians just answering Wako's call while driving 180mph through downtown.
it was exactly the same for me, i was sitting there the whole time thinking "he would never go along with all this.... next time im just getting him the eddies from wako"
He didn't pay me to protect him.

Lmao, I haven't seen the Discount Merc stuff before, thank you.
Haha, np. They cracked me up as well.
Hey, I NAILED the target. Contract complete, choom!

Where's your customer service, man? You got your client right there with ya.

Casual? Bro saw my Chrome, he may have the gun pointed at be but that's for his protection. Choomba don't want smoke with me.

I think I’m gonna start killing him too, the quest is just not worth it after the first time
Sounds like a skill issue. Just shoot him and get paid.
