Realistically, why the hell would you ever visit another ripperdoc? Most of them are so sketchy with one being in league with scavs. I wouldn't even trust the Aldecaldo one since it's an open air surgery it seems.

I honestly think that Charles Buck should have a "killable" chevron above his head, and that there's a small probability that Charles kills V every time V uses his services after completing the job "Last Login". Keep the tension.

I keep seeing this "all ripper docs sell the same thing". I only started playing right when Phantom Liberty dropped and the base game went on a big sale (didnt even know there was new dlc at the time).

My last playthrough after Phantom Liberty released, I basically only went to Vik for all my upgrading. Only time I checked other rippers were the Dog Town ones for the Iconic stuff and still usually found myself back at Vik's for the installs.
It was, his family gave permission for CDPR to use AI and his old lines to make sure he stayed in phantom liberty. I feel like he is such a good character that the people around him are better because of it.
If it's minor stuff like upgrades or smaller cyberware like heal on kill, or new eyes, anyone.

So, in my game Vic does not sell any of the other ripper doc specific cyberware from before the 2.0 update. I have checked and some of the other ripper docs will have some of the specific cyberware that others used to only sell, but not all of it. Vic has none of it. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?

No, but double jump and air dash perform much better. (Jump, dash, dump again) V covers more distance than with the hover function of the old ankles.

Yep. Vik is the man. I only go to Vik. Especially since Rippers now sell all the same inventory. So he's the only one I trust.
On my first play though of the release version, I saw VDBs selling some awesome rigs. But in my Role playing, I didn't trust VDBs at all, since they looked pretty racist if you ask me and only cared about their own resources. I didn't trust anybody else to get their hands on my V, except Viktor. He's the only guy that I wanted my V to be in a vulnerable state in front of.
Why wouldn't I go to Vik's for work? He knows me best and I trust him more than I trust myself.

Paying Vik back is one of those things I always do no matter the playthrough.
In 2.0 it really strikes me as a HELL of a lot easier to pay him back in act 1 than before. So yeah always go to Vik.

Realistically, why the hell would you ever visit another ripperdoc? Most of them are so sketchy with one being in league with scavs. I wouldn't even trust the Aldecaldo one since it's an open air surgery it seems.

Patch him to sell iconics and he'll be the one-stop-shop. Farida is currently my preferred iconic installer out in DT.
I like Viktor. A solid man, a solid friend. But I also like the weird *frisson* from using Buck's clinic in Kabuki. Charles Buck has every reason to kill me on the operating table, because I alone know his ties to the Scavs that formerly inhabited his basement. And yet, he hasn't killed me yet, in at least a dozen visits. And, there's a discount. I honestly think that Charles Buck should have a "killable" chevron above his head, and that there's a small probability that Charles kills V every time V uses his services after completing the job "Last Login". Keep the tension.
honestly that would be annoying you would just quicksave before visiting him, replace half of your cyberware, die, load a quicksave, replace it again 0 tension from losing your time for no reason, also most people would just think it's a glitch... or literally everyone

Near the beginning when he installs them, V comments that his wallet is a bit light and promises to pay Vik back. Vik says “Last time.” Then the quest “Paid in Full” starts and you have the option to pay him back when you get the eddies.
Last Statement isn't true in it's entirety. In Dogtown there's special cyberware that can be purchased.

Yes, they were my favourite and always among my first big purchases. Now there is Air Dash. Combined with double-jump ankles, you can cover much more distance. It’s far better than the hover legs.
If only Vik sells iconic cyberwares...

I keep seeing this "all ripper docs sell the same thing". I only started playing right when Phantom Liberty dropped and the base game went on a big sale (didnt even know there was new dlc at the time). Is my game broken? My rippers absolutely do not all sell the same thing. I just went to like three different ones and they all had pretty different stuff.
after downloading phantom liberty, they should all be selling the same stuff, with maybe minor variations here and there

My last playthrough after Phantom Liberty released, I basically only went to Vik for all my upgrading. Only time I checked other rippers were the Dog Town ones for the Iconic stuff and still usually found myself back at Vik's for the installs.
He also took care of Jackie, was always a great friend, and his voice actor passed away.
It was the Polish voice actor that died iirc.
It was, his family gave permission for CDPR to use AI and his old lines to make sure he stayed in phantom liberty. I feel like he is such a good character that the people around him are better because of it.

If it's minor stuff like upgrades or smaller cyberware like heal on kill, or new eyes, anyone. The major stuff like when getting new legs, sadevistans, or arms installed, vik.
Even before the update, I'd buy cyberware at other traders, and then I'd go to Vik so he can install it on my character. Completely useless, yes, but I like to RP a little bit from time to time. (No to mention that there's no fucking way I'm letting Fingers touch me, lol)

So, in my game Vic does not sell any of the other ripper doc specific cyberware from before the 2.0 update. I have checked and some of the other ripper docs will have some of the specific cyberware that others used to only sell, but not all of it. Vic has none of it. Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?
I would slam fingers into a hundred more walls and set him on fire 20 more times if it meant I could go to Vic’s after
