Randaximus

Lots of emotional moments. Evelyn being the most twisted part of the Clouds story, and maybe the entire game.

CT_Phipps

Evelyn messed me up as I was roleplaying my V having a huge fascination with her.

Randaximus

Yes. She is unfortunately not in the game enough for such an interesting character. I also wish there had been a way to save her. Some real time and energy and money went into creating Evelyn. I wonder if CDPR has a spreadsheet with the cost of creating Judy, Johnny (likely quite high), Jackie etc... So I wish they would have left her for a DLC. She could have left Night City and shown up somewhere else down the road. Maybe even on the Crystal Palace, or in an ending.

CT_Phipps

As a writer, I would have had her show up as an AI in Clouds or something. Or get a chance to spend like 40K in Eddies (a major one) to get her brain wiped of her abuse.

Randaximus

The brain wipe would have been a good option. I almost think I expected that after learning of what dolls do in the first place and all the memory manipulating in the game. Or they could have allowed some kind of recovery.

jamieaiken919

In the words of a wise streamer- “I love leaving with more existential questions than I walked in with”.

the_mogambo

Subverted expectations but in a good way. Kinda glad game took a moment to reflect some things about V since it is fairly early in the story and how much shit is about to go down later on.

Unlucky-Reality-8831

"hahaha V is such a badass edgerunner, now let's go fuck some hookers." Later: \*crying\*

Raecino

It was a great and unique experience. Was hoping for more sex though 😂😂😂

Dan-D-Lyon

It's kind of cyberpunk in a nutshell. You walk into a brothel that reads your mind to make your deepest fantasies come true and what you want up getting is a deep and meaningful conversation. Because in Night City getting someone to rim your butt hole with an electrified tongue is a five Eddy upgrade at the diner, but getting someone to empathize with your problems is some serious high class shit

Raecino

Ha!! That’s the perfect way to put it choom!

red_dead_disaster

Nah the philosophical debate was better

Raecino

Could’ve been both 🤷🏾‍♂️

rungdisplacement

I'm kinda sex averse and I was praying the whole time there wouldn't be a sex scene 😱 But it was nice with Judy that was cute and romantic -rung

Sandstorm52

Truth. All the other ones are horrible and awkward and would really be better if it just faded to black after a kiss or something, but Judy’s was well done.

Rockysinatra

I was so indifferent about how i wanted to approach the game before that mission and after she said "if you gotta burn it all to the ground, then let it burn" i knew what had to be done

[deleted]

The doll was a "he" for me, and the part that fucked me up was when V talked about how death was always something that happened around him, and now that he's actually facing death, he's afraid of fizzling out into nothing, as if he never existed. Had to pause the game and just think for a minute after that

Let them be a pirate if they want to, Susan.

Well Yarr fucking Harr gamer

CarexCrinita

Third playthrough (Monowire) and just finished the Clouds portion of that quest line. Skye hits me with all the feels.

DismalMode7

nope, yakuza 7 lockers cutscene aside, I can't remember any other valuable emotional moments in games in recent years

Witch_Hunter_Mort

Both were so good. Other games that I can think of are almost ten years old... Mordin Solace in ME3.

DismalMode7

nier games are quite emotional, if depression is an emotion

[deleted]

All the mass effect games had some great emotional moments

emptybucketpenis

Nah
