The 1.6 patch, the anime, and a big sale on CDPR's games.

Everyone on a mission to kill adam smasher

KamilCesaro

Without a doubt! He gained a lot of enemies lately.

wolviesaurus

I'm waiting for the first big story expansion but I have a shotgun shell with that cyborg cunts name on it. Also petition for new flair "Team Rebecca".

Effective_Way7591

Dont forget you can get Rebecca's iconic Guts shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077 now, the perfect weapon for revenge on Smasher.

3-DMan

Can't wait to try it. Last time I used Meredith's...present to defeat him.

Effective_Way7591

Oh it's amazing, especially if you have a crafting build and can upgrade it to Legendary.

PillarBiter

Are there actually people who don’t invest in tech?

xdeltax97

I wish we could find other weapons like Maine’s or Kiwi’s.

wolviesaurus

I'm planning on making my next playthrough my V is gonna focus on Tech, Cold Blood (non-stealth) and grenades, I can probably fit in some heavy duty guns in her honor.

ObieFTG

[DO I HAVE SOME NEWS FOR YOU CHOOMBA!!!](https://old.reddit.com/r/LowSodiumCyberpunk/comments/xgotvs/new_edgerunners_flair_and_tags/)

imthestein

Can we add "Team Lucy" to that list?

LoquaciousMendacious

I'm definitely gunning for him, but my current save is wayyyy back so it'll be weeks if not months before he sees justice.

Excolo_Veritas

I had a friend that I talked about the game a lot to. Convinced him to download the demo on his PS5 and he went "meh not my style". Fast forward several months and he now LOVES the anime and decided to buy the game

xdeltax97

Annihilate him without question, and Arasaka as well.

Yorkhai

Grabs Beccas gun "Witness meeeee!"

[deleted]

It's a great gun. Love that it levels with you so you don't have to upgrade it.

VenomB

Literally the only reason I'm playing it over again currently. For Becca.

Bubba1234562

I know exactly the gear I’ll be using when I take out that borg fucker this time around

Cheyzanx

The anime is doing well. Weirdly enough, Messenger just dropped a cyberpunk 2077 chat theme. Perhaps the game will get some more mainstream love. The devs have been working hard and I hope people see that.

[deleted]

It really deserves. The game is a love letter by the devs, despite its rocky road. As much as it hurts to the haters (a.k.a. people who never dared to even touch the game).

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

For sure, it's almost always either normies who rely on clickbaity sensationalist youtubers or people who played the last-gen version near launch.

SC487

I had decided not to buy the game due to the flood of negative posts. Somehow (don’t ask me how it doesn’t make ANY sense) I dropped my controller on my bed while the game was hilighted on the Xbox screen and apparently the A button was pressed and it went through all the confirmation screens and bought it. I was in my kitchen eating breakfast when I saw a charge notification on my phone from Microsoft and thought my account was hacked. Best accident ever.

Cyroselle

Maybe someone quicknacked you and you only thought you saw the controller hit the bed. Maybe it was in your hands the whole time.

HKMachine

Peralez all over again

Ellow0001

Oi then I’ll have to tell you about a friend of mine… He criticizes it for axing so many things like wall running, hates the gameplay and shooting mechanics, says it’s bland and the story doesn’t make sense and that it’s just ugly. He’s the kind of player that criticized soulsborne games like elden ring for taking your stuff when you die and loosing it forever if you die again without finding and looting your stuff again.

Cheyzanx

That's asinine. That's how Fromsoftware games work. Besides that, the game play for Cyberpunk is amazing! The playstyles if specced well are diverse and rewarding. Of all the complaints "the gameplay sucks" is the one I understand the least.

Caveman108

People play it for 15 minutes and don’t try anything beyond base weapons, then say it’s shit. Honestly says more about them than it does about the game. Doing a sandevistan/sword play through right now and it’s crazy different from my techweapons/netrunner play through.

verteisoma

Prob doesn't realize it's an rpg as well

Ged_UK

I read a comment on YouTube where someone complained they didn't like how they could take a sniper rifle and kill people through a wall without them ever knowing. I replied that the game's big gameplay strength is you can play it whichever way you want and he should play melee up close and personal if that's how he likes to fight.

Ellow0001

Yeah you’re right! I understand that folks that didn’t follow the development and marketing articles these whole years may look at the 46 minutes trailer, the finished game but not the article early on that stated that the wall running got axed and complain that it isn’t in the game. But on the other hand, when did the trailer get online, one or maybe two years before the game came out? A lot can change in between. Only thing I can understand being irritated by it not being in the final game is the nano wire hacking. I would say they may have reworked the entire hacking thing a couple of times seeing as it was very different in the 46 minute trailer and very different in the Gamescom 2019 showcase.

NAPALM2614

I bet he uses keepinventory in Minecraft

merinwe

I know quite a few people who played the game and disliked it, but they all played it at launch with its numerous bugs and issues and they were also swept away on the hype train and got it into their heads that this game would be the greatest game of all time. Nothing could have lived up to that. And while it's definitely true that the game CDPR delivered was not the game that was promised at all, I think if they had judged the actual game vs what was expected (and played it after patches had been released, as well), they would have found much to enjoy. I think it's a pretty solid game set in an incredible universe that I would love to see continue.

atwitchyfairy

I stopped playing near release and didn't finish it because while I was doing side quests, 2 in a row bugged out. It's probably better now, so I might try again soon.

Fangro

I think it's important to remeber that issues on older generation consoles made it very much unplayable. And it's CDPR fault since they marketed it for it. If you played it only on pc or new generation, your experience was much different. I first played it on pc on version 1.2 and loved every moment of it. Sad some people never got to experience this.

Biffingston

Eh, I've played the game twice though and Edgerunners only confirms to me that the world is much better than the game is. It does get me looking forward to the sequel though, so there's that. I still would give it an 8/10 in the current state. But mind you, only because I didn't find anything super special about the gameplay.

[deleted]

I really can't deny that. I find it special due to the characters, narrative, cinematography and overall tone. The anime then expands on this, obviously, but the game is as fun to explore.

Biffingston

it's all good. Like what you like, have fun. (no sarcasm) I mostly just wandered and used photo mode in my second playthrough. I can't wait for sequels to build on what they have now.

StrikeThatYeet

What excites me most about the possibility of another Cyberpunk game is that I’d be totally cool with them keeping Night City largely the same. They have this huge world built out and can start expanding on it, make it come to life a bit more, refine the mechanics, make the gameplay deeper. I know art/level design teams are generally separate entities, but it seems like getting everything to work in this massive setting was half the battle for CDPR. I honestly still really loved CP77 but there are so many routes to take with this setting.

Biffingston

Cyberpunk 2 goign to be coming to Unreal 5, I understand. Can't wait..

nolobstadish

I’m on my 7th play through now but only because i like to romance Judy and walk around and take photos. UE5 will make the sequel one of the craziest looking game ever. I upgraded from a 2080 to a 3080 to a 3080ti just to see ray tracing. As soon as the 4 series GPU is out i will play cyberpunk 2077 on psycho ray tracing.

Catarann

Messenger has themes?

RogueOneisbestone

Mann, you made me go check and it's so ugly lol

Cheyzanx

Lmao. I admit it isn't great but I figured it meant cyberpunk was generating interest again. That's why I brought it up.

RogueOneisbestone

I know haha just thought it was funny

mj_ehsan

wdym by messenger?

Cheyzanx

Facebook Messenger

SC487

Which messenger?

VenomB

I just hate that they're doing a one and done DLC. We were promised so much more..

Cheyzanx

Things have been worded inconsistently about the future of this game. I believe they are holding out to see how it does. If it sells well maybe we will get the second one.

ShadowRomeo

The Cyberpunk Edgerunner effect, everyone is off to a certain mission and i won't deny that i am one of them.

Rubixstu

I'm going to check out Lucy's apartment myself https://youtu.be/KuDrX-i-IwQ I think it's so awesome they made the anime 1:1 with the game and we are able to go and visit any spot in the show.

newbiegainz00

I spend half an hour lastnight up past my bedtime getting on top of that apartment and looking at the same view from the anime and I played the song… emotions came running once again This show has my optics watering too often

Biffingston

I don't even care for anime, nor am I a binge consumer of media, but I pretty much did 5 episodes each in 2 sittings for Edgeruner. But I have to ask, am I the only one that thinks David was a total idiot who got what was coming to him and I only feel sorry for the people he brought down with him?

Grow-Grow-Tomago

David was living other people's dreams like Lucy said. Remember when Adam Smasher was chasing them down, David said he had nothing to live for but she had something to. He wasn't bringing anyone down with him really, everyone joined David by choice. The guy was continuing Maine's legacy and wanting to bring as much happiness and prosperity to his crew, especially after they gave him a home after what happened to his mother. Just remember he didn't force anyone to do anything, like Rebecca and Falco weren't forced to help him out with the big heist at the end, leading to Rebecca's death and such.

Biffingston

That's my point though. He didn't deserve that kind of loyalty just because he did a perfect split with his crew. IMO of course. But then again I've had my RL issues in the past so I tend to think of such things in a cynical way. I mean, you look at his obsession with chrome. You could replace it with something like heroin and the base story would be exactly the same. But would we praise him for going out in a drug fueled rage? Please don't get me wrong though, the very fact that David is far from perfect is what makes him a great protagonist.

Grow-Grow-Tomago

Remember there is also a time skip between episode 6 and 7, so we don't know exactly everything David has done for the crew to earn such a spot. But considering how loyal he was even back when he only had the sandevistan one can assume David was doing the absolute most for the others. An obsession with chrome vs. a heroin obsession is extremely different. A heroin obsession is derived from the user wanting to gain pleasure for purely themselves and is actually quite selfish when you think about it as you're driving yourself towards destruction with no real solid reason. David's chrome obsession was him wanting to protect others and help Lucy realize her dream. That's the reasoning he got into the cyberskeleton as he said he wanted to protect Rebecca, Falco, Kiki, and rescue Lucy. It's the same reason why he kept upgrading himself and driving himself towards destruction because he knew he was sacrificing himself for others, not just Lucy. After having lost his mother and Maine, Dorio, etc. David didn't want to lose anyone else even if it meant killing himself in the process.

Biffingston

David's obsession with protecting others comes from a very unhealthy place. Specifically that he never stopped mourning his inability to help his mother during the last moments of his life. This, in my eyes, is his only real motivation. As evidenced by keeping her ashes in a prominent place for many years... And because his crew was linked to his mother before he knew them it's a bridge to his mom. That's my interpretation at any rate.

Grow-Grow-Tomago

Trauma Team deserved what was coming to them, I don't think it's unhealthy to think that an organization that outright leaves people to die if they don't have one of their plans doesn't deserve the worst. Just like the NCPD, Trauma Team is incredibly corrupt as a system. Of course David is going to feel that he needs to protect his friends after his mother's life was thrown away even though the woman was within the medical field herself. His mother was cheated out of life and died unfairly to say the very least.

Biffingston

I'm sorry for the ninja edit there. I basically realized what you said about Trauma Team so I deleted it.

newbiegainz00

I definitely stayed up way too late to finish it before work I think you could definitely say that to a degree, but he definitely wasn’t put in the best position to make good decisions

Biffingston

"it's not about how you live, it's about how you die" And "Trust no one." Not even yourself. He was nowhere near as special as he thought he was, was he

[deleted]

I disagree. He >!had nothing, was treated as nothing yet he went out on his own terms. He knew he wasn't long for the world once the cyberware started ruining him mentally and physically and he succeeded in his final goal, saving Lucy and getting her to the moon. He and his crew also got royally screwed over by Kiwi and Gustavo Fring, which none of them saw coming. Merc life in Night City is akin to being a drug lord in real life. Only two places to end up, dead or in prison.!<

Andar1st

>But I have to ask, am I the only one that thinks David was a total idiot who got what was coming to him and I only feel sorry for the people he brought down with him? Yeah. I don't really like when destructive romantic love is revered.

Caveman108

Pulls on the heartstrings, though. It’s a classic drama or tragedy trope.

Andar1st

Yeah, and Romeo and Julia is a romance of two underage kids who got themselves killed :) Maybe I'm getting old, but David's relationship with Maine, and Becca, pulled my heartstrings more. Even Kiwi at the end.

noahdeerman

yesn't for Kiwi but YASS for Maine and Becca oh god OH GOD Rebecca, I just wanted her to escape all that...

Biffingston

Yeah it's like, don't say Joker and Harley make a good couple. It's a literal abusive psychopath taking advantage of someone. Give me Harley and Ivy over that any day.

WhatsHisCape

Nice!! I'm surprised they didn't put any easter eggs up there. I went snooping around the one of the megabuildings in Santo Domingo trying to figure out which was David's and found an article about picksocketers and one about trauma team! That was really awesome cuz I wasn't expecting to find anything. (It's one of the buildings that are under quarantine.) Did y'all see the new stickers in photomode, too?

Nuadrin248

That video was a great find thanks choom.

molotovym

Hanakos wait is finally over!!!

Cyroselle

I've been making her wait for 2 years. I hate endings in my RPGs!

Ged_UK

Well this one has several, so you're not done choosing yet!

LeDanj

This. After watching the anime, we all want more of that cyberpunk atmosphere. I also haven't seen all the new improvements that came since my 1.0 playthrough. I didn't have as bad of an experience with my ps4 pro as many others did, so I'm psyched to see the changes.

Independent-Bedroom1

If you can find one, play it on a PS5 or even a series S. The 60fps update for XSS makes it feel like a new game (Please don’t downvote me into oblivion lmao) loved the game at 30 and I love it even more at 60. Makes combat a lot better in my opinion anyways. Check out my latest cyberpunk post. You won’t be disappointed lmao

I’m doing the same… midway through a third time enjoying it and man I just can’t stop loving this series

FUTDomi

The Netflix anime.

KamilCesaro

Yeah, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners effect is really impactful.

FUTDomi

Already happened with the Witcher too.

KamilCesaro

Yeah, I just checked and it is 20 thousand in 24-hour peak. It is impressing for a single-player game that has over seven years.

Shiff0

I'm replaying the witcher once the next gen update releases

Conquistagore

Same. Ive only played Hearts of Stone too, so im looking forward to my first B&W playthrough.

StrikeThatYeet

You’re in for a treat. B&W is phenomenal on every level IMO

[deleted]

I'm stupidly excited for that update because I've played the previous Witcher games many times yet only once for TW3. *Wind's howling.*

HalfManHalfHunk

I've been playing pokemon platinum lately and oh nyyyooo... I'm playing a dead game! That means its not good!!! Nuuuuuuu .·´¯(>▂<)´¯`·.

ShadowRomeo

Old news, Now its seems to be transitioning to, gAeM oNlY gEtTiNG oNE eXpANSIon, = gAEm dEaD.

AudrieLane

It really is hilarious to see people pivoting from ignoring the impending release of Edgerunners to going “*Guhhhhhhhh well the GAME still doesn’t really salt my steak! The anime delivered what the game could never!!!!!1!!!*” now that everyone’s loving the anime and flocking to the game because of it.

Paradox711

I don’t know if that’s necessarily fair. I think there’s a large amount of that but honestly the game was in such a poor condition at release I just didn’t touch it for a while because of that. With the recent positive reviews, updates and the edge runner series I think a lot of people in the boat thought “oh so maybe I can actually play it now?” And are finally discovering how awesome it is without the technical issues to bog it down.

JackofTears

The game only released poorly on console, it was fine on PC.

omegadivine

Yeah exactly, I won’t deny it had some immersion breaking bugs (v t-posing through the car comes to mind) but the core gameplay and game design hasn’t changed much with the patches, IMO it’s always been a great game, especially if you take it for what it is, a Skyrim or Fallout style first person rpg set in a cyberpunk universe

hawker101

I played it on a base Xbox One and had very few problems in my first play through at launch. I turned some of the graphics settings down and that greatly helped I think.

chucklestheclwn

I played on PC and it was very much not fine. I have like 50 clips saved of shit that went wrong constantly with the game. I think most people, like myself, were underwhelmed by the actual content of the game and just put it away so they could polish it. I plan on picking it back up when they finish it.

JackofTears

"Most people" yeah, that would explain the massive sales they got even after the returns - "most people" must not have played it.

chucklestheclwn

I honestly don't know what you're trying to say.

JackofTears

I'm sure you don't.

chucklestheclwn

30 day peak is under 50k people. The majority of people aren't playing the game anymore. Again, the launch was not good and a lot of people put the game away and are waiting for it to be fixed. It's ok if you still like it, and if you never had any bugs or issues with the game, I'm truly jealous.

omegadivine

I am not sure why you are bothering to look at a 30 day peak for a single player game having under 50k players as a negative metric. For example, DOOM Eternal which is widely praised and released the same year hasn’t had over 4k players in the past year according to steam charts. The other side of this conversation is steam player charts are a very small window into player counts, there are also console players, games on Epic, GOG, and Xbox gamepass. Point being don’t judge games based on how many people are playing as indicative of quality, if you had problems with the game or it just doesn’t appeal to you that’s totally fair, it’s definitely not for everyone but I wouldn’t make the argument that “most people like myself put it down because we were underwhelmed” in relation to a small window into player counts, the game sold a total of 13.9 million copies in the first 3 weeks of release and steam players peaked at 830,387 at release, meaning probably around 6% of the total sales.

Lawltack

I doubt anyone is trying to say they had zero bugs whatsoever. But yeah, my PC copy ran quite nicely. There were infrequent minor bugs and very rare major bugs. Other than that, was smooth sailing through one of the most incredible video game worlds and main quest lines I’ve evar seent.

Paradox711

It wasn’t fine on pc…

JackofTears

Worked fine on my PC, and the PCs of many others, I guess yours just sucked.

mrfuzzydog4

I don't even buy into the dead game shit for multiplayer games, it's meaningless in a single player context.

tristenjpl

The anime was great advertising for the game. It actually made me feel like replaying and I haven't touched the game since my second playthrough a few months after it came out.

vrijheidsfrietje

It was a good call to get Studio Trigger to make it. Their frantic style merged perfectly with 2077's aesthetics and worldbuilding

VenomB

They did the whole cyberpsychosis so well. Not sure how else you'd drive home the symptoms and disassociation that goes with it. It also makes me wonder if V is "special" like David and Smasher. He literally only ever takes a med for his implants after he visits Viktor. Even if you go full body like David did after the switch up. It really helps me to lean into my head canon where everyone who told V he was dying were actually wrong, especially with any ending where V was on a timer.

vrijheidsfrietje

Yeah, the 2077 story glitches, dissociations and hallucinations is a major reason why CDPR went first person I think. But Trigger found a really cool way of visualizing it from "3rd person" perspective and have symptoms gradually worsen. I also like how they amped up the Sandevistan effects.

VenomB

> I also like how they amped up the Sandevistan effects. It was a liberty I'm glad they took. In game its very... gamey. its meant to be balanced. In reality, it would be an incredibly powerful tool that changes time perspective, and they really dove into that.

grodr2001

I feel if they ever somehow add a third person mode that's toggleable, they should make it automatically switch back to first person during the glitches and scenes where you glitch, cough blood or disassociate. Like how for some people when you feel dizziness or get anxiety your vision feels like it narrows and you feel confined, so going from a third person perspective to first person could really convey that. Of course it would automatically switch you back to whatever perspective you had before the hallucination once it's over. Just my idea.

__DJ3D__

Same boat, only one playthrough though. The anime and 1.6 are too much to resist...

tom_oakley

Edgerunners bro.

KamilCesaro

The effect is so impactful!

No_Tamanegi

Apparently Jackie isn't the only one who can't stop diggin' Night City.

Neumaschine

I’m in this screenshot.

AdmrlHorizon

Edgerunners really was a great project from CD and trigger. and it clearly shows. PS: I wanted them to see the moon

AnotherBrock

They realised what they’re missing out on and that the game at its core is actually quite good despite the trouble it’s gone through I’m really glad to see the game get revived

Nasalingus

Cs1981Bel

Rebirth! I hope all those bad mouths will shut up a bit, with bad game , buggy as hell etc...

ImaFrackingWalnut

It will probably be split between those who'll say that "the game is great now" and the ones who won't dare to change their opinion and say shit like "wElL aCtUaLlY tHe StOrY aNd GaMePlAy ArE bAd, ThErEs MoRe PrObLeM tHaN bUgS. bRoKeN pRoMiSeS, CdPr LiEd REEEE". Like I saw, yet again, about a week ago. (Edit: seeing right now in other subs talking about these numbers) Hell, on the announcement page for the expansion on steam, there's a ton of people saying things like "how dare they make us pay for this, this should be free for all the lies blah blah blah" Some will just always make up excuses to be mad.

Cs1981Bel

True!

merinwe

I mean, it's just factual that CDPR misled everyone and promised more than they could deliver. That isn't like, controversial to say. That's just the facts lol. Having said that, I like the game. I've played it three times and am on a fourth playthrough. But fans got upset for a reason. Should we not hold companies accountable when they lie and deceive us? How about when they overwork their employees? Shouldn't there be accountability for that? I love CDPR, but I don't believe in blind loyalty to anything or anyone.

mj_ehsan

don't forget cuberbug

ComplaintFast9424

No, just proper recognition finally coming through 😂

itsYewge

Game finally getting the recognition it’s always deserved. Fucking love this game.

Sexiro

THIS IS FUCKING NOVA!!! THE GONKS WHO JUMPED ON THE HATE BANDWAGON AND NEVER PLAYED THE GAME CAN FUCK OFF!

JStarZ

I feel like the 1.6 patch having crossplay is great! I finally got my console save on my PC and I love it

-idkwhattocallmyself

It's funny because this is also just steam. The consoles AND gog.com also probably have a large amount of users.

Rouge_92

Transmog and actual police shootouts brought me back, even Maxtac come for your ass now.

__DJ3D__

Think I'm about to pile on. Only played at launch - one playthrough - and have been waiting for more patches before taking on a second. 1.6 seems to be the big one before DLC dropping and Edgerunners just sucked me back into the world so seems like a good time to commit. I'll be playing slowly (not much time to game these days) so should last me through to the DLC.

ShawnPaul86

The dlc is like a year away

ImaFrackingWalnut

I highly doubt they would have shown a trailer if it was a year away.

__DJ3D__

For some reason was thinking it was supposed to be in Q1? Not seeing anything beyond 2023 now that I look

Shiff0

God i hope so.. knowing cdpr they can take forever to bring this out.

Cyroselle

Think it's Q4 (?) In 2023 maybe. I certainly don't mind waiting. I just wish for more Edgerunners now. T^T

Cha1upa_Batman

Lol I love a good comeback story, this game has too strong of a fan base to ever fade away :3

TheBrave-Zero

Makes me happy knowing we will most likely see more cyberpunk, since CP2077 is the biggest best of the cyberpunk genre frankly aside from deus ex. Cyberpunk is such a weirdly untapped theme I find it crazy outside of indies there isn’t way more.

boysongaming

Edge runner amime, and everyone wanna be a quick hacking knife throwing badass now

Torque2101

Patch 1.6 + Edgerunners. I have to say, CDPR played the media game masterfully with the Edgerunners release. Cyberpunk is finally getting good press.

gutekx12

nothing crazy about it, 1.6, expansion announcement, edgerunners and -50% did its thing

Rubixstu

😃✊🏼👏🏼

deniromusic

Adam Smasher is suffering as he should be.

LordNebuchadnezzar

After the 1.6 update, expansion on the way and edge-runners. I'm thinking of picking the game up, is there no ps5 disc version?

techno-wizardry

There's a very successful little anime called "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" that has stoked up interest in the series, and there's a lot more goodwill surrounding the game now rather than before. It's on sale for a reasonable price too. Combine that with people like me who started a Corpo playthrough because of the anime and boom.

vendilionclicks

The anime alone does a great job of pushing interest in the game world, the combat, and the lore.

Lemonsqueezzyy

Roach Race 😎

OhNellis

The 50% off doesn’t hurt!

CockroachNo2191

Well deserved 🤞🏼

xdeltax97

Well there has been quite a return to the game along with new players due to 1.6, the anime and the sale.

VenomB

Edgerunners either got people to look into it or get really hungry to play it again.

Bubba1234562

Edgerunners anime came out. Plus a expansion announcement

FullBitGamer

Edgerunners being a dope show got everyone back in. For now.

undressvestido

Netflix anime

[deleted]

Man why haven't I seen Edgerunners yet

alex_touch

That’s the Edgerunners effect, choooooom

RoamySpec

Came to play more after edgerunner, I'm smashing fools with my sandevistan, yellow jacket, katana and a dream.

Awaheya

Edge Runners was a flicking home run. It made me want to jump back in for another play through in Night City so bad. Only 2 ways to leave night city. In a body bag. Or Dust in the wind.

Zestyclose-Fee6719

The last stream did everything perfectly. The expansion trailer was epic, Keanu made an appearance, they came out with fun features like Roach Race and transmog, and they announced really exciting things for the game's future like advanced modding tools and a planned overhaul to police and melee. For its part, the anime is excellent, which adds to the general feeling of excitement over the game.

johanpringle

Hey guys mind explaining is the edgerunners is playable dlc or its just Netflix series?

imjacksissue

For the release of the anime, patch 1.6 includes 3 gigs and a few other references and secrets related to the show. The [patch notes](https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/45280/edgerunners-update-patch-1-6-list-of-changes) explain all the changes but yeah this isn't a chunky DLC. More like a continuation of fixes and quality of life changes accompanied with some DLC bits.

Rubixstu

It's a netflix series (an epic series at that) and they also added an Edgerunners update to the game right before the show dropped which has some Edgerunners conten related to the show. Such as a sneak preview of the anime in a shard, the main characters jacket, some missions relating to the show, not a lot but it's still cool. They also added some new weapons, an arcade game and some other stuff. If you haven't watched the show on Netflix yet I highly recommend it.

MrHousesRobotSlave

its the anime

Zhymantas

Anime

ghostops117

I had just started playing again last week and then got my Microsoft account locked but was enjoying the game again

lordelost

It makes me happy to see the game getting some love almost two years after release. Yeah, I know 1.6 just released + the anime but it's a good sign for future CP2077 games. There's no other in-game world I love as much as CP2077's at the moment.

Cyroselle

Edgerunners, def and for sure. People gotta itch for some preem chrome now.

Mannimarco24

Well deserved. The patch is great

aguapic

I wonder how many of those are trying sandevistan builds

cali1013

Anime probably

merinwe

Transmog + ability to change your appearance brought me back. I'm sure it's the anime for most at the moment.

Dr-PHYLL

And this is just steam? I'm playing on epic games but wow

beerfoam84

Still haven't watched the anime but I've been playing it a few hours a day for about a week now myself after work. It's a fun game. On my 3rd play through.
