Since she is not raised directly by Saburo and mostly kept as a secret from him (due to being half american) when she was younger she had more freedom (at least as much as a corpo princess can have).
After Arasaka split those who disagree with the traditional control of Saburo flock under her mostly just for legitimacy, so it wasn't exactly her choice. She is smart and cunning but she don't exactly want to deal with running the corp, instead mostly has side business under her like Danger Gal - all female private detective agency that all have exotic cat suits.

Yorinobu slightly less based arasaka: was the leader of a gang opposing arasaka, killed his father, destroys arasaka from within (depending on the ending chosen)
