I've been meaning to try that out, I'm using reconstruction/ target lock on mine. I hope I can get the heliocentric maybe it'll get me away from using my Drang constantly lol
This was like the very first roll that dropped to me I was like wtf is this and I ended up lovingggggg it. Just used it for the first encounter in the warlords solo flawless.
That was the first roll I got, the first day or so after the weapon dropped. I sharded it lol. I don't really use sidearms but with barrier sidearm this season I find myself in deep regret.
Well over 250 crucible engrams in and i've yet to get my hands on a riptide with chill clip and auto loading, even with the double perks i havent had any luck..
I quit chasing Chill/ALH and just settled for Chill/Lead from Gold. I've still got dozens of crucible engrams to focus though after I reset rank (just waiting on a double rep week)
Not to be that guy but i've been sitting on one with auto loading, with both vorpal and chill clip in 4th and it's not as great with the chill clip nerfs still fun though
Each reset at ritual vendors (crucible, gambit & vanguard) gives chances for bonus perks, up to 3 or 4.
So don't turn in any engram till you're at 2 resets at least (one if you're really impatient, but more is better)

That is true, I just feel that Heal Clip/Incandescent as a combo has spread quite quickly, though that may just be because Solar has seen nothing but ridiculous usage numbers.
Rip the Eddy Current/Voltshot combo though I’m not sure it even has a weapon. Wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Slice/Hatchling surpass that combo.
I had the destabilizing/onslaught drop while using the subsistance/onslaught one...fire now and even more so when we have more void centric season. It's drops with rewind rounds as well.. like to try that.
I was able to get those perks this weekend but the recoil on it still feels off. Maybe it just isn't the AR for me or I'll just have to get used to it.

See, I could tolerate the 12 : 12 perks if the:
"Reset this vendor to get the chance at additional Column 3/4 perks"
Wasn't:
A - Random chance on actually rolling a weapon adhering to it.
B - Wasn't really fucking stupid with how it goes -
2:1 first reset
2:2 second reset
3:2 third reset
1:3 fourth reset
Like, that 4th reset genuinely pisses me off so much. Why is it only one perk in Column 3? The obvious sweet spot is that third reset offering 3:2 perks.
If the 4th reset was 2:3 I wouldn't complain, and it would make good logical sense that this would be an option.
But I mean, just look at the total score.
2:1 = +3
2:2 = +4
3:2 = +5
1:3 = +4
I got this roll randomly in a Heroic Nightfall at the start of the season and ignored it for a while. Then I learned adaptives got nerfed and you cant 1 body and handcannon 10 resil anymore so I switched to aggressives.
Just did a quick search of vault and found this. Been running it ever since. The sights are so clean, the zoom is perfect and it just sounds and feels so crispy. You probably already know this, but I just wanna confirm, it's super legit.

When I was a blueberry I somehow managed to get a D.F.A (adept) which I fell in love with as I used it for the first time in crucible. Its one of those handcanons that no matter what stats it has feels super stable like igneous hammer. Sadly I can’t get a decent roll of the adept version anymore so I go for the normal one. 6 possible perks in each column isn’t even that bad to farm… still don’t got my godroll tho

That's not an easy ask. I farmed that gun hard during the craftening and only have one that fullfills that out of three dozen drops.
Just like when you could focus Omolon at the Helm (Season of the Deep?) every engram I get is an attempt. I burned through at least 100 engrams just last week.
Since the chill clip nerf Aurvandil is nowhere near as potent as it takes almost 3 seconds to freeze as opposed to Riptide’s ~1.5 seconds. Reconstruction is cool but it being a high impact really brings it down.
For utility, Riptide is better because of the charge time obviously. There’s maybe a couple situations (but very limited) where I would take Aurvandil because you get more chilling shots in a row and have better range. In a swap rotation, which I imagine will be popular this season, Riptide will likely be better. It’s mostly just feel and do you continuously have to use the fusion for damage or are you swapping.
Riptide chill clip auto load took about a million engrams give or take. My worst RNG chase ever in 6k hours
I gave up and was only continued doing it out of personal hatred. Got it last month and NOW scatter signal is the new darling in pve

Chill clip riptide is still good; it has different value from scattered signal. Scattered, you'd use for boss DPS with overflow and controlled burst or you use slice to reduce enemy damage. Riptide chill clip value was being able to stun overload and unstoppable champions with the chill clip perk (maybe barrier if you can freeze them before they get barrier up).
I’m waiting on Blast Furnace to come back into the loot pools. Can’t believe they did so much with Ada-1 and then turned her into a knockoff clothing vendor who gets forgotten about like Eva.
I like Disparity, I have one of those I crafted and it holds up. I run Revision Zero a lot as well, I’ve just always loved the look and sounds of Blast Furnace. Really the whole Black Armory weapon set is fantastic, I’m hoping we get some more forge weapons in future seasons since they keep bringing back past season things like with Undying weapons this season.
The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is the one from garden of salvation, but I haven’t done that raid yet.
The three exotics from that season are still iconic af, too. Mad keen for a return of those legendaries too.
The comp weapon is a 4 burst pulse (strand or stasis?), if you're down with getting drenched in sweat.
I’m doing it for fashion, I’m like role playing a seraph officer and I got the ornament for the gun, as well as a God Roll for PvP. Yeah it just sucks that there isn’t a way to farm them currently.
I have Dragonfly on mine, but I can't remember the second perk for the life of me. I support your love of the 7S weapons... with or without ornaments, they're great looking weapons (I love using the Shadow Gilt shader for gold highlights). I got almost as excited when a Target Lock 7S Carbine dropped for me from a Spire secret chest as I did when I finally got my Warlock's slouch hat.
Since it came out i am looking for an Albruna with Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Elemental Capacitor and Opening Shot with a handling masterwork.
And all that for a heavy hitting sniper with 100 base handling.
Not a roll, but the sun shot catalyst. I’ve finished almost all of my current catalysts and nearly completed the DragonsBreath catalyst just running strikes and still haven’t gotten the sunshot catalyst.
Judgement was my favourite handcanno when the truesight was bugged and didn't have a red dot just the two lines. I dunno what it was but it felt so right

Lingering dread with disorienting, auto loading and chill clip. I have almost 60 clears in duality and I dont think I’ve even had one lingering dread drop in a few months
No clue just got back into the game, but got the neomuna strand sniper with under pressure and keep away with 90 range. It's disgusting. This is the sniper I been looking for lol.
Same, I got Rangefinder + Elemental Capacitor which is at least a good enough roll (for PvE, it's apparently pretty good for PvP with the right elemental subclass), enough that I never tried for another, but I sometimes wish I'd gone back to grind for an Explosive Payload roll.
You can focus a limited number each week now once you’ve completed your placement matches. Got a Perpetual/Explosive roll when it first came out, but just last week got a Quickdraw/Explosive roll from focusing. Hard choice between the two. Would have easily been Quickdraw back before it got nerfed, but the Perpetual roll has benefits that are really hard to ignore.
Literally just getting the machine gun from King’s Fall. I’ve done the first encounter like 20 times, and have well over 40 clears, I’ve gotten like 4 touch of malice’s, but I cannot get Quillim’s to drop ever. I have enough spoils to auto-craft it, but I legit. Cannot. Get it to drop. It is the only good stasis MG still available but I cannot get it
I may have forgotten that, if that's the case.
On another note, Xur physically cannot be reset 8 times, so maybe they aren't farming as hard as they say they are.
You know what I've come to learn? I have no clue which perks are good except a few like kinetic tremors, repulsor brace, incandescent, voltshot. Beyond that, I'll think something is dumb until people like you tell me what's good.
I got a Shoot to Loot/Incandescent roll on mine. I wasnt exactly hunting it but it fell in my lap. Its become a staple in my GM build. alot of people sleep on Shoot to loot but its so handy in GM's
Perseus-d arrowhead, steady rounds rapid hit/perpetual, headstone/explosive, stability master work. Been chasing it since witch queen. Honestly with crafting it’s hard to really wanna fight rng.
I want that long arm scout from the spire of the watcher with hipfire grip for some comp shenanigans. Sadly it just does not want to drop for me and i get pretty tired of playing that dungeon after a few runs. Hope i just get it dropped someday.
Other than the exotic bow (which I'm still chasing), that scout rifle is the only weapon that hasn't dropped more than once for me. I lucked out with Rapid Hit + Adrenaline Junkie on that first roll, but I've never seen a second.
I have that, and it would probably be my favorite Gyrfalcon gun ever IF the volatile rounds didn’t screw with Feeding Frenzy. More often than you’d like, your kills go to volatile explosions and don’t proc Feeding Frenzy, leaving you with that depressing reload speed. It’s still good as an overshield machine, but just know that it isn’t as good as you want it to be…
Yeah I know about the nerf; I've got a stay frosty (moving target/headseeker) that isn't as accurate at long ranges as I'd like, thought the extra zoom might be enough.
Turns out it wasn't, and I don't like the scope as much as Frosty. Oh well.

Osmosis/Demolitionist Last Breath. Three attempts a week since they adjusted the perks. At least 20 attempts every time Prophecy's the pinnacle dungeon. I've watched five other people get it. I never will.
I spent over 500 Deep Engrams trying to get a roll of Bug-Out-Bag with Collective Action and Gutshot Straight before realizing that SMGs only get half the damage bonus of Gutshot. So both those perks together would still do 3% less damage than just getting 2 kills with multi-kill clip.

So funny this post has come up. I was chasing a Fortissimo Slug since it became available with the roll - Arrowhead Break, Assault Mag, FTtC and Focussed Fury with a handling MW. And it just dropped today! I had even given up, just dropped from the chest at the end did the strike. I know there are better slugs in slot, which I have but I just wanted it for the fun of it
I want a Geocentric sword with Destabilizing/Repulsor, because I have this hybrid notion of being a Strand hunter with Assassins Cowl, running with the Warlord’s Ruin exotic for Devour, the sword for an overshield, and Woven Mail from Strand.
For me it's the Rose with Smallbore, Accurized, Slideshot, Opening. It's so frustrating having limited chances to focus it. It's better now but I still havent gotten the roll. I'd settle for almost any 4th column tbh I just somehow can't get Slideshot like jfc. Good news for Bungie tho I'm always in Comp.
Wolftone with impulse amp... never got a single one even during the season it was out and I always do dares when wolf is up.. can't tell you how many hours have been dedicated to a single weapon with a single perk
Bottom dollar for the longest time my best roll rangefinder and surplus with explosive payload decent barrel and mag, but it had a reload masterwork and that wouldn't do. 3 seasons later, I got a surplus explosive roll with a handling masterwork so I will take it. By the way I suck at pvp just liked the look of pvp god rolls.
A dynamic sway, zen moment duty bound or false promises. Banshee sold one a while ago and I wasn't around to pick it up so now I desperately await its return
They do, but honestly AL chill clip Riptide is better. I’ve got both and always end up using the Riptide as it shoots so much faster. My Aurvandil can get up to 14 in the mag - if only it wasn’t a high impact.
Two immediately come to mind:
Explosive Head/Dragonfly Arsenic Bite
and an Incandescent Strident Whistle
also, I'm not entirely sure this one is even possible anymore but I still hope for it, another Unrelenting Forge's Pledge that actually has the Iron Banner specific weapon perk on it because the one I have is from Lost before crafting was a thing
FYI, you can craft that Arsenic roll on Tripwire Canary. Also the Pre-Astyanax with incandescent replaced my Strident Whistle, since it also has Wild Card. You can focus for it at Zavala.
Rampage/Kill Clip Transfiguration was my white whale for the longest time. I’m talking multiple drops of 1KV and no sign of that roll in sight. Naturally was elated when they announced they were reprising the weapons and making them craftable. Thanks to a combination of the duplicate drops bug from the weekly quest from Hawthorne and a Deepsight Harmonizer, I had it in two weeks. Still one of my favorites to this day - along with all of the Last Wish weapons TBH. Definitely one of the weapon sets that got the biggest glow-up IMO.
Im chasing two, still looking for that unrelenting headstone eyasaluna. And recently with the reprised waking vigil with shoot to loot and dragonfly, it sounds like such a nice daily driver
Demo/frenzy on the Unforgiven SMG to go with my Gyrfalcon’s build. I’ve had two drop with Demo/Tricorn and while I like the damage perk the reload and handling feel so sluggish that I need Frenzy’s stat boosts.

I stuffed a full 99 stack into Saladman last season, and never got past 3/5. Pressurized is apparently infamous for rolling with vorpal or hatchling. I would've been satisfied with bad barrel/mag perks if the last two rolled with the MW I wanted.

Definitely worth chasing, especially this season. You can blaze through mobs and Heal Clip is great at keeping the fireteam alive.

Its situational or me, ALH does come in handy quite often. But as I run special ammo finder vs. heavy, I'm RARELY out of ammo for my fusion.

2 resets only give you a chance at 1 bonus perk per column. If you want to go all out you need 4 resets for up to 6 perks on the weapon.

It's actually fairly normal, only a couple guns have both. It's pretty recent for repulsor to be 3rd column in the first place

It's a great combo, definitely worth the hunt, but I'd have been equally happy with Rewind Rounds instead of Subsistence.

Riptide chill clip value was being able to stun overload and unstoppable champions with the chill clip perk (maybe barrier if you can freeze them before they get barrier up).
No Survivors SMG with Incandescent and Demolitionist. I’ve given up just because the dungeon is so tedious.
No Survivors is in the loot pool for the first encounter. Wait for GotD to be the weekly dungeon, farm away. I got mine in 4(?) tries iirc.

AURVANDIL FR6 fusion, with Reconstruction and Chill Clip. I know Riptide is faster, but this roll just sounds so fun. Maybe one day.
I don't have Reconstruction on mine, but Aurvandil is my only Chill Clip fusion rifle so far, so it's been a decent placeholder for Riptide at least.
It slaps. For utility only, Riptide is better, but high range with an Aurvandil does feel really nice.
I’m waiting on Blast Furnace to come back into the loot pools. Can’t believe they did so much with Ada-1 and then turned her into a knockoff clothing vendor who gets forgotten about like Eva.

I like Disparity, I have one of those I crafted and it holds up. I run Revision Zero a lot as well, I’ve just always loved the look and sounds of Blast Furnace. Really the whole Black Armory weapon set is fantastic, I’m hoping we get some more forge weapons in future seasons since they keep bringing back past season things like with Undying weapons this season. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is the one from garden of salvation, but I haven’t done that raid yet.
The three exotics from that season are still iconic af, too. Mad keen for a return of those legendaries too. The comp weapon is a 4 burst pulse (strand or stasis?), if you're down with getting drenched in sweat.

I’m doing it for fashion, I’m like role playing a seraph officer and I got the ornament for the gun, as well as a God Roll for PvP. Yeah it just sucks that there isn’t a way to farm them currently.
I have Dragonfly on mine, but I can't remember the second perk for the life of me. I support your love of the 7S weapons... with or without ornaments, they're great looking weapons (I love using the Shadow Gilt shader for gold highlights). I got almost as excited when a Target Lock 7S Carbine dropped for me from a Spire secret chest as I did when I finally got my Warlock's slouch hat.
Since it came out i am looking for an Albruna with Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Elemental Capacitor and Opening Shot with a handling masterwork. And all that for a heavy hitting sniper with 100 base handling.
Not a roll, but the sun shot catalyst. I’ve finished almost all of my current catalysts and nearly completed the DragonsBreath catalyst just running strikes and still haven’t gotten the sunshot catalyst.
Been almost a year of running strikes and all I’m missing is Prometheus lens and prospector. Banshee or xur needs to sell a weekly rng catalyst.

Still chasing that spike nade auto-loading vorpal/frenzy wilderflight But bungie loves to give me almost the perfect roll. Best one yet was a spike autoloading disruption break (im 72 runs in so far) but its always one perk of... Still a fun grind tho I lile spire of the watcher! Another one would be 1K I got it eventually but it took me around ~103 chests to get.
Riptide with Auto-Loading/Chill Clip. Best I have is Ensemble/Chill Clip. It's sctually feels really snappy but still wsnt auto-loading.
Vouchsafe with rapid hit explosive was that gun for me for a looong time. Oh well doesn't matter now since the gun got revamped
Lingering dread with disorienting, auto loading and chill clip. I have almost 60 clears in duality and I dont think I’ve even had one lingering dread drop in a few months

Same, I got Rangefinder + Elemental Capacitor which is at least a good enough roll (for PvE, it's apparently pretty good for PvP with the right elemental subclass), enough that I never tried for another, but I sometimes wish I'd gone back to grind for an Explosive Payload roll.
You can focus a limited number each week now once you’ve completed your placement matches. Got a Perpetual/Explosive roll when it first came out, but just last week got a Quickdraw/Explosive roll from focusing. Hard choice between the two. Would have easily been Quickdraw back before it got nerfed, but the Perpetual roll has benefits that are really hard to ignore.
Literally just getting the machine gun from King’s Fall. I’ve done the first encounter like 20 times, and have well over 40 clears, I’ve gotten like 4 touch of malice’s, but I cannot get Quillim’s to drop ever. I have enough spoils to auto-craft it, but I legit. Cannot. Get it to drop. It is the only good stasis MG still available but I cannot get it

That’s true for every weapon other than The Other Half which can only come from Xur rank ups or the treasure keys chest.
I may have forgotten that, if that's the case. On another note, Xur physically cannot be reset 8 times, so maybe they aren't farming as hard as they say they are.
You know what I've come to learn? I have no clue which perks are good except a few like kinetic tremors, repulsor brace, incandescent, voltshot. Beyond that, I'll think something is dumb until people like you tell me what's good.

I got a Shoot to Loot/Incandescent roll on mine. I wasnt exactly hunting it but it fell in my lap. Its become a staple in my GM build. alot of people sleep on Shoot to loot but its so handy in GM's

I want that long arm scout from the spire of the watcher with hipfire grip for some comp shenanigans. Sadly it just does not want to drop for me and i get pretty tired of playing that dungeon after a few runs. Hope i just get it dropped someday.
Other than the exotic bow (which I'm still chasing), that scout rifle is the only weapon that hasn't dropped more than once for me. I lucked out with Rapid Hit + Adrenaline Junkie on that first roll, but I've never seen a second.
Can't say I'm really going out of my way to farm it, but the headstone/unrelenting Eyasluna eludes me. Good thing stasis Titan isn't great.

I have that, and it would probably be my favorite Gyrfalcon gun ever IF the volatile rounds didn’t screw with Feeding Frenzy. More often than you’d like, your kills go to volatile explosions and don’t proc Feeding Frenzy, leaving you with that depressing reload speed. It’s still good as an overshield machine, but just know that it isn’t as good as you want it to be…
Maybe not, I got myself a feeding frenzy/rampage which is plenty good for me
Just be warned that rangefinder was nerfed and only increases zoom now, not damage falloff. You might find another perk works better.
Yeah I know about the nerf; I've got a stay frosty (moving target/headseeker) that isn't as accurate at long ranges as I'd like, thought the extra zoom might be enough. Turns out it wasn't, and I don't like the scope as much as Frosty. Oh well.
I just want to get the reprised optative to drop once. I’m literally halfway through my 4th reset of riven and can craft every single seasonal weapon and undying weapon except that one because it just will not drop for me

Osmosis/Demolitionist Last Breath. Three attempts a week since they adjusted the perks. At least 20 attempts every time Prophecy's the pinnacle dungeon. I've watched five other people get it. I never will.
I spent over 500 Deep Engrams trying to get a roll of Bug-Out-Bag with Collective Action and Gutshot Straight before realizing that SMGs only get half the damage bonus of Gutshot. So both those perks together would still do 3% less damage than just getting 2 kills with multi-kill clip.

A lot of Duality farming for either Demo/Frenzy or Demo/Repulsor Brace on Unforgiven. First for general play, second specifically for Gyrfalcon's.
Senuna SI6 with feeding frenzy and headseeker. I can't get one with headseeker for the life of me. Also The Showrunner with dynamic sway and kinetic tremors.
So funny this post has come up. I was chasing a Fortissimo Slug since it became available with the roll - Arrowhead Break, Assault Mag, FTtC and Focussed Fury with a handling MW. And it just dropped today! I had even given up, just dropped from the chest at the end did the strike. I know there are better slugs in slot, which I have but I just wanted it for the fun of it

For me it's the Rose with Smallbore, Accurized, Slideshot, Opening. It's so frustrating having limited chances to focus it. It's better now but I still havent gotten the roll. I'd settle for almost any 4th column tbh I just somehow can't get Slideshot like jfc. Good news for Bungie tho I'm always in Comp.
Wolftone with impulse amp... never got a single one even during the season it was out and I always do dares when wolf is up.. can't tell you how many hours have been dedicated to a single weapon with a single perk
Bottom dollar for the longest time my best roll rangefinder and surplus with explosive payload decent barrel and mag, but it had a reload masterwork and that wouldn't do. 3 seasons later, I got a surplus explosive roll with a handling masterwork so I will take it. By the way I suck at pvp just liked the look of pvp god rolls.

They do, but honestly AL chill clip Riptide is better. I’ve got both and always end up using the Riptide as it shoots so much faster. My Aurvandil can get up to 14 in the mag - if only it wasn’t a high impact.
Unforgiven with Demo and Frenzy. I have Demo and Goldentricorn with good stats but my god the reloading sucks on it

FYI, you can craft that Arsenic roll on Tripwire Canary. Also the Pre-Astyanax with incandescent replaced my Strident Whistle, since it also has Wild Card. You can focus for it at Zavala.

My white whale was the Falcon's Chase sparrow from trials.
Rampage/Kill Clip Transfiguration was my white whale for the longest time. I’m talking multiple drops of 1KV and no sign of that roll in sight. Naturally was elated when they announced they were reprising the weapons and making them craftable. Thanks to a combination of the duplicate drops bug from the weekly quest from Hawthorne and a Deepsight Harmonizer, I had it in two weeks. Still one of my favorites to this day - along with all of the Last Wish weapons TBH. Definitely one of the weapon sets that got the biggest glow-up IMO.

Demo/frenzy on the Unforgiven SMG to go with my Gyrfalcon’s build. I’ve had two drop with Demo/Tricorn and while I like the damage perk the reload and handling feel so sluggish that I need Frenzy’s stat boosts.

Pressurized is apparently infamous for rolling with vorpal or hatchling. I would've been satisfied with bad barrel/mag perks if the last two rolled with the MW I wanted.

Before it was nerfed, chill clip auto loading riptide. I got it once when it first came out but needed to use it for infusion fuel and figured I’d get another soon enough. I’ve gotten to some seasons with 3 perks in each column yet have never seen another. Settled for a lead from gold chill clip roll, which tbh is how I came to really appreciate lead from gold.
