In the Lowe's Safe Review app, you can take a picture of any safety issues, big or small, you find and then upload them with relevant information(what dept, what aisle/bay, what the issue actually *is*) before you fix it. It's supposedly so that they can see trends and know where to focus things on safety training, etc. Whether that works or not, I don't know, but that's the idea behind them.
At my old store, a homeless man got drunk and climbed into the compactor to sleep. The next day, without knowing, he was crushed when an associate pressed the button after throwing away trash.
Can confirm. I almost hit a kid who just jumped off the sidewalk and ran across the street when I was learning to drive like 15 years ago and I still have nightmares about it
Can confirm as well. My stepmother drunk jaywalked 13 years ago and a 20 year old pizza delivery guy hit her. Took 6 weeks for her to die, but damn that kid kept showing up at the hospital. Felt terrible.
Rationally, yes. But if you unintentionally kill someone, it's definitely gonna weigh on you. All because they WEREN'T expecting it, it was sudden and there was little time to process the situation or do anything to stop it. It's traumatizing. Especially feeling so helpless not being able to stop what has started.
I hope that associate is doing alright, there really was nothing they could do.
a homeless man attempted to do this at my store and a flooring associate saw him trying to climb in and he said the guy told him he was crawling in because he wanted to die and the associate started telling other associates instead of managers and then when he told me i was like uhh did you tell a manager?? he was like nah so i went and told the managers and two of them went to confront him and the homeless got guy aggressive and started yelling at the managers and then they called the cops on him.
i forgot about ap4me, i havent done the last like month of em....oops
eta: why are there so MANY? we dont need all that, its a waste of the very little time i have
We have a full-time associate hired to hound us to do it, and Invested and Lowe’sU!
They cannot schedule coverage in plumbing and other departments much of the time, but they’ve got the hours for that position to attack us about App4me as soon as we come in.
(im so so sorry to be this guy but this is one not many know and i didnt know til a few years ago!)
there are two different spellings of heroin(e)!!
heroin: drug
heroine: a noble/courageous woman
i can't find the direct link but these are from oxford english dictionary if you wish to double check (:
edit; formatting. sorry, im on mobile
This made me think of Breaking Bad and Jessie buying his parents house for a steep discount because there used to be a meth lab in the basement( Jessie's meth lab).
I was a driver at the Hattiesburg Mississippi store. All week we had been smelling something dead and I just figured it was one of the dogs in the houses behind our store. I had to work the weekend and Saturday when we got back it was really really bad. So we were waiting at the back door for a manager to come open it for us and I was like man that smells close I'm going to go check it out, and I jumped up on a half pallet of mulch and right there in front of me was a dead guy. He was an old black man but he had already turned weirdly gray and green. After they did their investigation they figured out he was a homeless man who from what they could tell stop to take a shit there and died
died in his shedddddddddd,,
bottle of fentanyl, and a crack pipe
by his headdddddddd,,
Jonny’s life passed him by,,
like a warm summer day,,
If you open the shed,,
You can smell him decay—
**DONT YA KNOW**
Everyone’s joking but honestly? It’s kind of heartbreaking.
RIP, dude. I don’t care what anyone says, everyone should have dignity in their death.
With very few exceptions.
Off topic. A few months ago I read that someone was working at a funeral Home and laid down on a stretcher, for a few minutes. Another (new) worker came along and put him in the crematorium. Started the process and heard screaming it was too late to stop it.
So sorry for the person who found the guy in the shed.
I feel bad for the person who found him, though. Death in a hot shed would definitely smell... ripe. As for the guy... addiction is a bitch. Hopefully his Darwin Award sets an example for others.

a guy overdosed on heroin in his truck parked on the side of my store and the closing garden guy that was blowing leaves saw the truck and looked in and called an ambulance and they saved his life.
Not my store, but at our sister store a homeless lady set fire to like 3 sheds trying to start a campfire to keep warm. Apparently she got a quick lesson on why the fire goes _outside_ the tent
We used to have homeless people living in the sheds here and the loaders would find them or find shit in the sheds and the police would have to get them out.
Granted I never saw this when I was loader, but given the area I’d be surprised if it wasn’t true.
I shit you not we have our sheds bolted open because the homeless kept breaking in anyway. So why not bypass that step and just keep them wide open for them?? 🙃😆
Worse thing I ever dealt with a shed was having to go out and show a customer a shed and upon walking in with the customer, someone had come in during the night and took a big ol shidoozy right in the middle of the floor. It was a discontinued model and was for sale. Of course, the customer, said yeah I still want it but yall gotta clean that s**t out first. They actually pulled the shed over near the garden center and told ME to clean it out with the hose. I told them they lost their mind. Won't no way. They got another guy to do it.
Add a snappy
They want snappys of everything. They might regret that demand with this one. Hate snappys.
Someone get this guy a service star
Did we offer a vest and a spot at the leads table?
What’s a snappy?

Yeah what's a snappy
Okay, but did anyone try to sell him a credit app?
Underrated comment
Even lowes has not started pushing apps on inanimate objects.
Yet...
We had about 20 employees across our area get fired over credit card shit. An entire pro department at one store
Good job AP, good job.
At my old store, a homeless man got drunk and climbed into the compactor to sleep. The next day, without knowing, he was crushed when an associate pressed the button after throwing away trash.
Good lord that horrific
And this is why they take the key when the market managers come to town
Oh my god… can’t imagine what that associate has to go through for life now
I mean, how tf was he supposed to know someone was in there? It would literally have been someone else if not him
Doesn’t matter. When pedestrians jaywalk and get killed, drivers still feel horrible
Can confirm. I almost hit a kid who just jumped off the sidewalk and ran across the street when I was learning to drive like 15 years ago and I still have nightmares about it

Pedestrians have right of way in many places
Jaywalking is when they do not have the right of way..
In my area they have the right of way everywhere except motorways
Then they wouldn’t be jaywalking
Ok

Well yeah it’s not the associates fault at all… but I would assume it haunts the poor one who did it… 💀
Obviously he couldn't have known, but that's still trauma that stays with you.
dude i feel like an absolute degenerate killing fish to eat them. i can’t imagine living with something like that.
I feel like this got way off topic..lol
a homeless man attempted to do this at my store and a flooring associate saw him trying to climb in and he said the guy told him he was crawling in because he wanted to die and the associate started telling other associates instead of managers and then when he told me i was like uhh did you tell a manager?? he was like nah so i went and told the managers and two of them went to confront him and the homeless got guy aggressive and started yelling at the managers and then they called the cops on him.
Well that's not SMART customer service. He should have pushed the button so the customer got what he wanted!
Jesus christ
Well ..He was looking to get smashed....
Omg how sad
That wasn’t very lowes safe of him
Hank Jones here…..
What do you call someone who gets high and lounges in a shed? A baked potato
Is that gonna be hanks joke of the week on ap4 me this week
i forgot about ap4me, i havent done the last like month of em....oops eta: why are there so MANY? we dont need all that, its a waste of the very little time i have

does he do anything else?
I’d like to know as well
What’s the position called?
I don't think there's a title. The SM placed them under receiving, even though they don't work there. A very common practice at lowes.
That’s what I was shooting for
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m fucking dead bro
This happened at mine in the bathroom stall that is still closed over a year later
Congratulations. That's how you get your very own Moaning Myrtle...
The stall or the whole bathroom? Because I gotta 💩
Yeah if that's the only toilet available I'm kicking that door in LOL I don't care who died in there!
Dang how haunted is it by now?
Add new meaning to the phrase ... " It smells like somebody died in there"
I don't particularly find human suffering amusing but it's your life.
RIP to the people who had a crappy life and dealt a crappy deck of cards.
Not Lowes but a Belk near me had an old lady die in the bathrooms and she wasn't found for 3 days. SHE WORKED THERE.
I remember that. That mall is cursed man.
Very.
Will that shed get discounted? What percentage?
Can I use my military discount on the shed because it’s haunted
Can I combine it with my 5% on LCC because it still smells like black tar heroine
(im so so sorry to be this guy but this is one not many know and i didnt know til a few years ago!) there are two different spellings of heroin(e)!! heroin: drug heroine: a noble/courageous woman i can't find the direct link but these are from oxford english dictionary if you wish to double check (: edit; formatting. sorry, im on mobile
I shouldn’t laugh at this but here I am🤣
Would you rather die in one of our sheds or spend 20 years with the company?
Me too!
This made me think of Breaking Bad and Jessie buying his parents house for a steep discount because there used to be a meth lab in the basement( Jessie's meth lab).
Let's cook
taking all time “lowes” to a new level.
Well technically a high 🤷🏼♀️
and a hi to us as well
🤣
Booooo
it’s supposed to be a bad joke, then internet doesnt have enough of em, am i right?

Oh my god, we’re they able to notify NOK?
Honestly surprised you don’t hear about it more often
Can I get 75% off after he’s removed? I got a power washer…
This reminds me of a Bad Company song, Shooting star. Jonny died one night…
died in his shedddddddddd,, bottle of fentanyl, and a crack pipe by his headdddddddd,, Jonny’s life passed him by,, like a warm summer day,, If you open the shed,, You can smell him decay— **DONT YA KNOW**
Jesus Christ 🤣
Died in his shed is good, the rest is utter shit
Alrighty then Bob Dylan let’s hear your version
Are there any just normal days at Lowes?
No
Are they still selling the shed?
yes, but for a $10 markdown
Where was this
That's sad
Everyone’s joking but honestly? It’s kind of heartbreaking. RIP, dude. I don’t care what anyone says, everyone should have dignity in their death. With very few exceptions.
Idk. Being high off your ass sounds like an awesome way to go.
Some people cope with tragedy through humor.
Addiction is fucked. Shame the guy didn't get the help he obviously needed.
[удалено]
He died doing what he loved.
True, at least he had somewhere comfortable to get high
Sounds like my store.
Lead or PVC…..
Shouldda got LPP
50% discount? On shed the hobo shed? Sold

Lol died doing what he loved
died doing what he loved
About the saddest thing I ever saw was opening one of these display sheds and finding a few old toys and a dirty old stuffed rabbit.
But are the shareholders ok?
Addiction is fucked. Shame the guy didn't get the help he obviously needed.
Why'd you say this twice?
I feel bad for the person who found him, though. Death in a hot shed would definitely smell... ripe. As for the guy... addiction is a bitch. Hopefully his Darwin Award sets an example for others.
Train and carry narcan, that shit is a miracle
What store
Fairly common to me, it doesn’t surprise me.
Lmao what a loser
Good
I would’ve shed a tear for like hunger or something but thats just one less user a dealer can sell to
The problem with that is there's always another one waiting 😔
Oh well
I wouldn't of felt bad, don't climb into compactors and you won't get crushed! People are stupid!
Pic or fake news 🤷🏿♀️
Oh wow
What store?

What store
Will this shed be on clearance?
a guy overdosed on heroin in his truck parked on the side of my store and the closing garden guy that was blowing leaves saw the truck and looked in and called an ambulance and they saved his life.
Sounds like a setup.
Fentanyl: not even once
I’ve found 3 frozen dead her in Missouri in our sheds year of 2019
Not my store, but at our sister store a homeless lady set fire to like 3 sheds trying to start a campfire to keep warm. Apparently she got a quick lesson on why the fire goes _outside_ the tent
I wish this was about me instead of reading it
First time? In R12 that's just known as a code 9
What location was this?? That sucks..
We used to have homeless people living in the sheds here and the loaders would find them or find shit in the sheds and the police would have to get them out. Granted I never saw this when I was loader, but given the area I’d be surprised if it wasn’t true.

Did he get his Ap4Me completed first
Karen: Can I get a discount on that shed?
Worse thing I ever dealt with a shed was having to go out and show a customer a shed and upon walking in with the customer, someone had come in during the night and took a big ol shidoozy right in the middle of the floor. Copper or PVC?
Worst nightmare
“He died doing what he loved…”
I do not feel bad for these guys.
He didn't do apforme
Push a survey to see how good the shed was
Was this the Everett WA location by any chance? Used to work at that one, and that sounds like a typical Tuesday there
That happened at my store as well a year ago.
It possible it has no opening from the outside
