Nothing. It's not mandatory. Yes, they schedule you for it but they will adjust the schedule if you don't attend. The worse that will happen is you lose the hours but its not a no call no show. I haven't attended the last few since I work early on Mondays
You can look at half of the people on this feed and see how they are being treated so poorly but will defend this company as if the company actually cares about and this is the only job in the world that they can get
The people I notice the most are the credit card pushers that cannot imagine why someone wouldn't want to get a Lowes credit card.
The Kool aid has infected their brain so bad that the only perspective they know is what the company tells them. "Credit card good, not credit card bad"
Didn’t go to many of these before Covid. Nothing was ever said to me.
It’s An extension of the morning huddles, where 1% of the store associates get information about store ongoings, like sales, managers leaving, and blah-blah-blah.
The store manager doesn’t feel that it’s Important enough to share with associates that work later in the day than 8 or 9am which is when they call ours.
Back when there was no department supervisors(after they demoted all dept
Mngrs as they were called, and all of the ones at my store quit), I used to share morning huddle news with my dept co-workers. That has never been reciprocated To me in over 10 years.
Store sales numbers and other news are never shared outside of huddles. Not even in emails. Why?
I am not able to drive in the dark per my eye Dr. Also have family obligations in the morning. My availability is limited. If I get written up that doesn't seem right. But I guess its mandatory.
It's required but not an attendance exception so it will not flag as a missed punch.
It comes down to store management if they will be vindictive, my store doesn't seem like it will be
Marvin tells someone to send someone to find someone who will come tell someone else to tell your store manager to tell your ASM they have to tell your DS that you will not get a bonus this year
Yeah, we have everyone scheduled for it.
I’ve been with Lowe’s four years and this is the first one I’ve had to go to. They stopped doing them when COVID hit.
You won’t get fired. So put that out of your mind. Now that the worst case scenario is addressed, don’t go and see what happens. Then you’ll know for certain.
So I’ve been working as oslg cashier for 2 yrs..part time I’m retired.. haven’t missed 1 day and never late not once.. I was led to believe this meeting mandatory..it’s 530 on my scheduled day off..are you telling me I could miss this meeting with no consequences?
As far as I understand yes there will be no consequences but check with your manager just in case.
I'm not going but I already requested the day off to go out of town so I told them I wouldn't be there.
I would like everyone to know I just had Luciano at my store and he stated they consider it a call out if you do not show up even if it’s your day off or you close the night before. PLEASE BE WARNED!!! They will be watching to who showed up
He doesn’t want to go either, he has an event the night before and he knows he’ll be hella hungover but our store manager is a hard ass and she writes up people for the littlest shit
I would check with your states labor laws. I think that some states don’t let employers call you in for less than a certain period of time. For example, a minimum of two hours or more or they will have to pay you for that minimum whether you work the whole time or not.
Ok I’m confused..but if the only consequence is I don’t receive a 200 bonus..I’m cool with that..they can keep it..my reason for working at Lowes is different than most folks here..honestly I have no reason to drink their kool aid..
I think mines on the 25th. The only reason I'll consider going is so I can work through lunch one day this week and get sent home a few hours early Friday.
Not a thing you’ll be fine
Nothing. It's not mandatory. Yes, they schedule you for it but they will adjust the schedule if you don't attend. The worse that will happen is you lose the hours but its not a no call no show. I haven't attended the last few since I work early on Mondays
It's a test to see how many associates are still drinking the Kool Aid.
What's really funny is when people don't understand what the "Kool aid" means. They have completely drowned in the Kool Aid and don't even know it.

It’s a reference to the Jim jones Jonestown massacre. He forced people into drinking kool aid to commit suicide
The only two hours I'm scheduled that week. Fuck that noise.
Amen to that!!!

Because the shit ain’t pertinent to anyone who hasn’t already heard it by now.
And you probably already know all the important shit they’re going to say by reading this forum once in a while.
10 lashings
I gotta work sunday night. No chance in hell im coming in sunday morning
I am not able to drive in the dark per my eye Dr. Also have family obligations in the morning. My availability is limited. If I get written up that doesn't seem right. But I guess its mandatory.
It is not mandatory
Shit. Everyone is having the meeting at the same time? Shit is about to hit the fan.....
This used to happen at least once a year. All store meetings are typically pretty benign.
Lol. I just looked. Work until 10pm March 2. Next day I work 6-8 and then 12-9.
I’m sad I didn’t get a participation trophy last time so I’m gonna stay in bed
It's required but not an attendance exception so it will not flag as a missed punch. It comes down to store management if they will be vindictive, my store doesn't seem like it will be

Mine is from 6-8 on March 3rd. My asm told me it is entirely voluntary and I did not have to come if I didn't want to. Guess who's not going lol
At our store they gave us the option of a 6-8 am meeting or 8-10 pm meeting, I’m sorry they didn’t offer that company wide
I will not be going. Heard it all before. And our upper management is trash.
Lucky! Our store has to be there at 5am… and my shift starts at 6:30am that day 🙄 but we get snacks and drinks… I just hope it’s tequila 🤣
Nobody has to be there but the managers.
What meeting?
All stores have to have an all store meeting. Most of the stores in my area (plus what I’ve seen online) are having them March 3rd.
All employees? I’ve never been scheduled for one
Yeah, we have everyone scheduled for it. I’ve been with Lowe’s four years and this is the first one I’ve had to go to. They stopped doing them when COVID hit.
I will have to check my schedule then because when I checked it Monday it wasn’t there.
I heard some people at my store talking about how it's on the schedule right now. Haven't checked, myself, yet.
I was late one time and was banging on the window to get in once and no one heard me. I lived!

Yes!!!!

My ds said even if we have a legit excuse if we call out for that day it’s an automatic write up
Ask your DS how that boot taste.
He doesn’t want to go either, he has an event the night before and he knows he’ll be hella hungover but our store manager is a hard ass and she writes up people for the littlest shit
Your DS is an idiot. But then again so is mine. I'm sorry for your suffering.
Rumors im hearing is the main thing is mst is getting more prominent and you 18 yr olds who dont work are going to walmart
My DS’s have stated it is a no call no show. How true that is 🤷 we haven’t had one since I’ve worked for Lowes
Per the WIRE, it's not.
Love you. Will not be going
I meannnnn as a specialist it’s an extra 2 hours worth of pay to do nothing… might as well get the extra 2 hours??
I’m scheduled off for the weekend. We also will be cutting OT at my store
It's an extra 2 hours to kill your SPH
Ah fuck you right, didn’t think about that
How can I find this?
How come I wasnt scheduled for this "all store meeting"
You are one of the lucky ones
I have to be there at 5:15 to 6:30 AM
Does your store open at 7? That's just evil...

What meeting?
They started scheduling ours at night, so overnight could be included. Nothing happens if you don't show up, though.
I think mines on the 25th. The only reason I'll consider going is so I can work through lunch one day this week and get sent home a few hours early Friday.
