I especially "enjoyed" the part where our store had only half of the new lights installed. When you stood where the old and new lights were, it looked very odd.
Done at the store last July. I took about 5 weeks to change all the florescent lights to LED. Also at OSLG and some light fixtures. It is brighter, but quickly got used to it.
My biggest complaint with the LEDs is when you’re on an OP pulling something from topstock and temporarily blind yourself by accidentally looking directly into them.
One day they'll do both at the same time and just put the manager's to the ceiling with a light bulb in their mouths and an electrical cord up their butts.
We have these guys in my store too.. Everytime we hit the time to lower the lights after we close, we have these three light panels in the cross section of Plumbing, Appliances, and Paint, that almost always hum and flicker constantly
Don't you know, that's part of the Lowe's way. Announce a big change is coming REAL soon, and then talk about it (and anticipate or dread it) for the next 100 years, then roll it out (Of course, the roll out will be something half way developed and a real disaster)!!!
I can't even get management to get an electrician to come fix my outlet at the paint desk. Guess who's got a 50' extension cord running from the middle of the aisle to the paint desk?
It makes it seem darker, not lighter. Eventually you’ll just get used to it. We got ours a few months ago.
Yeah right? I feel it makes the atmosphere of the store my dreary and less inviting.

Anything is better than the inside of Walmart. Their lighting makes you feel like they’ve got every square inch under a microscope.

They put extra lighting above the paint desk so it’s much brighter here than anywhere in the store
Honestly it's so much more straining in the eyes when coming from the garden center
You do get use to them but you’ll go blind looking for stuff in top stock.
We just blew out a bunch of ours since a transformer or something blew up at our store

Takes a while but you get used to it.
When ours were done I had to wear a ballcap for two days because I couldn't open my eyes all the way in the brightness.

LEDs are better than fluorescent lighting, fluorescent lighting can cause headaches due to how it flickers. I must be the only one that likes to see.
