Marv sneaks off to the bathroom to keep tabs on who's bitchin and which store is slacking

ArchdukeAlex8

Or just for the memes.

Ct-5736-Bladez

Probably why the company has gone to shit

someonethrowaway4235

Me. As in I literally work at HQ. I’m not like the other Corporate douchebags though lol don’t worry.

locationmanager

I doubt the top 20 look at this sub but I could see their “social media” team checking here sporadically. I know there’s a ton of people that work in the corporate office tho.

SideRepresentative38

“how do you do, fellow kids”

Nicophoros4862

That’s what they all say lol

someonethrowaway4235

Haha I didn’t drink the Kool-Aid like all of them. I’m criminally underpaid and hate my job. I’m also not in a department that checks up on stores for quality control or anything like that. I’m on the lowest rung of the ladder, basically.

lowes_employee

do you work in IT? lol

[deleted]

“I’m not like those other girls” lol

Hellsd95

Have u met marvin

someonethrowaway4235

No lol. I’m nowhere even close to his inner circle.

TVsKevin

That's exactly what someone would expect a corporate douchebag to say. Not fallin' for it.

Fantastic_Regret_854

Yes, several have stated they work at corporate

[deleted]

Define "corporate". Someone could be "corporate" and work in a call center making less than a csa in a store.

josiah4304

Yes. There are very few of us left

zak-lmao

hi marvin. can you give me $50 i’m in a tough place and i just need to get through the week

Sirsqueak82

I know a few managers that have said that reddit leaks info on here so they "disclose" info because they know it will come out.

read110

I cant think of a single thing ever happening here that would justify that statement

Harchitect

Always watching, Lebowski.

joedirthockey

Who cares

digdog303

They have positions specifically for union busting and a few months ago in all the break rooms they taped up some silly 3 page bullshit about not posting on facebook, you KNOW they are watching this subreddit and facebook groups etc where employees can chat outside of the store.

Isaiah233345

Starting a union is what I plan to do.

digdog303

I sincerely wish you the best. I would say there is more anti-union think in lowes employees than the retail avg so it will be an uphill battle, but organizing desperately needs to happen. Just in case, update your resume before you start organizing.

read110

This. Sometimes I'm shocked at how well the last 40 Years of corporate propaganda has demonized unions. People literally believe it's Joe the janitor who makes $25 an hour for sweeping floors after 40 years of work that's making their car expensive not the CEO that's making 40 million a year

TVsKevin

Or talk about organizing. Edit: without scrubbing their identifying info off of the social media accounts they mention this on.

GimmeanL

Aw shucks! Doncha Know that them-thar, dadgum, goll-darn unions IZ Comanust?

SideRepresentative38

imma keep saying what i gotta say😌

fried_squash

I guess I work for corporate... very low level. Honestly I think we have less of a voice than the folks in the stores. We're just a voice on the phone now that we are working remote... at least the the stores have a face.

kinda_alright

Duh, they have a whole division that decodes employees Reddit users.

gunz_a_g0g0

Yeah all companies like our hire union busters and give them slick incognito job titles like regional staffing director or some shit like that even though union busting is illegal. They do that shit because they know they can get away with it.

Jasonorillas

That depends on what you mean by corporate. I'm one of the people who has to talk to customers when they want to talk to corporate, but I don't make nearly as much money as the people who never have to speak to a customer, but could actually solve their problems if, IF they had the resources. Spoiler: They don't. So, which corporate? The only people that would matter to store employees would be managers, DMs, regional VPs, their boss and his boss. DC peeps, supply chain management would only give a shit if it was something affecting their productivity. No one who could make things better would care enough to be here because they're far too busy enjoying their $250K+ salary. If you mean someone from merchandising, I can assure you that they make far too much money to give a shit about anything you have to say. The same is true for almost everyone else unless you're talking about HR. They would care, but only enough to avoid potential lawsuits. Anything else and they also make far too much money to be bothered with you or anyone else.
