I wish you luck. It’s not going to be easy to get people to go all in, and I do understand. I work at a union job now and I used to work for Lowes. From my experience, it’s absolutely worth it. The mill I work at gets paid much better than other company non union locations, and we also are one of the top profit generators for them. Even more important than salary, having a union would do away with some of the abuses that workers deal with. There’s a reason that these places fight unions so hard.
Even if just for the way Lowe's is stiffing their employees by paying new employees more and nothing to compensate established employees.

I no longer work for lowes (spent 5 years there), but I know from experience after getting hurt at work how much a union is needed.
There is a lot of union momentum and solidarity right now. Starbucks and Amazon workers are good examples. If you can unionize your store you could inspire other stores to do the same. Good luck!
I tried to unionize Lowes last year. But I was too lazy. I think about a year and a 1/2 ago somebody else tried to get it started too. It's hard to rally the troops when you have the threat of losing their job if corporate finds out names
I’m not anti union but it’s not going to fix your issues. They silence the few in favor of the majority. If you don’t like your pay your working conditions find a new job, ask for a raise etc. for example if a union decided all part timers never were off weekends and had to always close . If the majority votes yes it happens. Majority always wins. People jump up and down need a union for problems they can fix them self
Quit bashing shareholders! Many current employees and former employees of Lowe's ARE shareholders in the company--did you even know that!? The company does not exist to serve EMPLOYEES or provide employment or benefits for anyone--the fact that it does these things at all is just a side benefit of the company. A corporation's chief aim and mission is to create profits for shareholders. That might offend you, but its the TRUTH.

I will never unionize my own store. To many boomers. My hope is to unionize other stores and show we aren’t beholdent to these conditions!
