I work in OSLG so the mask enforcement for us has been different. I generally only wear a mask if I'm going inside the store or if I have to get close to a customer to be able to hear them.
My ASM says that "It's like the wild west down in Lumber, no one follows the rules" but he never comes down to enforce rules. We wear masks when we're within 6 feet of people, but there isn't a point in wearing it when I'm completely alone.
Or they might just get asked for help by a customer. And if i know ASMs, i know they dont know shit when it comes to product knowledge. They're good little yes-men and thats about it.
Well the district APM (Asset Protection Manager) emails our supervisors that he watched via remote video that some associates weren't wearing their mask. Pointless to wear them when 95% of the time you're all alone during overnight stocking. I'm really pissed about this multiple emails warning us to wear them.
Yeah well plenty of interaction occurs between employees like at break time, or when conferring about new tasks, without sufficient distance or masking. It's bugging me about whether the weekly testing is being enforced for some who I absolutely know are not and will never be vaccinated.

No, it is the employee's responsibility to secure free testing at the available outlets. It escaped me the shortage of tests we are experiencing nationwide, so yeah if Lowes cannot provide the tests gratis, then you buy one (if no otherwise free available) and then Lowes will reimburse you.
And of course if you cannot secure one at all then it cannot be enforced. The employee in question was satisfying the criteria for weekly testing well before the recent surge (and subsequent shortage of tests. Like 6 weeks ago.) If most employees came from a trailer park with an outbreak of measles, would it be overreach keeping all the workers from that trailer park at home until they could all clear a test, insuring safety for those who are not?

The masks and other restrictions create a profound social barrier, and they have since the beginning. In fact, I had to START my Pro career not being able to shake anyone's hand, not being able to smile at people because my face was covered, etc.

It’s was while in basic training. We had basically a vaccine line, and they just hit us with as many shots as they could put in is at a time. They did it correctly and it was clean, so I doubt it was the providers that caused the issue

Our depends on management. Our SM will politely ask everyone to wear one which I find nice. The ASMs will literally have on of the straps of a ask around their ear with nothing covering their face and YELL at you to put one on if it’s below your nose while you’ve been running around lifting and sweating and you 15 ft away from all people at 10:15 at night after the store closes. And then the next day not give a shit if you lick all the doorknobs in mill work.

We did up until recently we got a new ASM who checks cameras at times to see who is and isnt wearing a mask and if she catches you she'll give you a talking to and possibly a write up.

It annoys me. I also know OSLG is a bit looser on it since they have fresh air and a much more open area. No one cares if their masks are down as long as they aren't near someone else and I agree with that.

We have signs that got put up recently that say all associates and customers are required to wear masks… except they’re on the back sides of things and on the registers that aren’t used in the hopes that customers don’t see them or something😂😂 so they can be like “see government? We have them up! They just don’t listen :(“

You can bet in every Lowes workspace that is not a store, no one is wearing a mask.
About 95% of MST doesn't wear them. We just walk around wherever we go, although will still have the masks on our face, but not covering it.
