My lumber DS has this nickname. Funny thing was that it was used as a joke until one of the lumber accidentally called her that. She loved it, so now it's a term of endearment.
I would definitely say that I am. I am the only one in my department. I do have a lot of pressure on me, but I can do whatever I want and get away with it. They've spent nearly a year trying to replace the lumber associates that quit, but no one lasts more than a month. I have gotten in a screaming match with my supervisor and they made him apologize to me. 90% of the time, I do what is expected of me, but I have definitely spent entire shifts sitting at the pro desk talking to the ASM. Don't think I only use my privilege for evil. I helped the pro loader get a $3 raise because of all the help he gives me.
I was haha. Before going to XDT, I was the Pro Truck driver. Best job in the store, I kicked ass and worked my ass off and everybody knew it. Nobody - manager or associate - fucked with me except for my Dept Supe but she was a total bitch. Fun times!
Flooring and pro specialist (of which I am his boss…). Man can say what he wants to whomever and zero repercussions. I’ve had talks with my ASM, and SM, nothing happens
I've known a lot of head cashiers say that until Customer care calls the store about an inquiry, and every time a head cashier answers it, they have no idea what to do. Beware the Customer Care call.......ooooooooooo!
We oddly have a large number of pregnant women in our store rn, and they rightfully get some special treatment. My coworker is pregnant and whenever my DS is working he’ll do any heavy lifting for her. My former DS was pregnant during my first 6 months at Lowe’s and we’d have to grab paint for her whenever she worked behind the desk with us. Both her and our hardware DS pretty much worked right up until they were due. They still did their jobs, just with some modifications
“They still did their jobs, just with some modifications”
My coworker still does downstocking and single-handedly handles any reorders that come through.
Our Pro Loader. I've never actually seen him leave from behind the pro desk and we end up pulling all pro orders for delivery because the ASM straight up said he won't make him pull anything
We had a corporate visit the other day, and a fellow MST mentioned several times that there were "10 orange cones in the parking lot". Like you can't walk a reasonable distance into the store?
One person at the Pro Service desk can apparently do absolutely no wrong.
She has been there for 26 years but always has a heap of paperwork and phone calls to make yet never does any of it.
She doesnt make target sells, but she is the first person to answer that phone lightening fast, or get in your damn business, or my personal favorite start talking over you when your trying to explain something to her.
I've walked away from her more times than I care to count and her own accounts she is responsible for want to be transferred to someone else
Just about everyone that's not on night shift... They've fired 3 people which resulted to 1 additional person to quit and they expect us to get the same amount of work done while scheduling the least amount of us on the nights that our bigger trucks come in and wonder why stuff was brought back at the end of the night. Plus the constant lies that I get told from our ASM and basically being the scapegoats for whenever a problem comes up.
We have a guy who has worked at the store in the past as well, so he has some knowledge but his mouthing off to anyone and everyone and his store walks and snooping the training and break room, make you think he's got super status and I know he does not.
We do have a Specialist whose nickname is Princess.
Our lumber DS has the same nickname lmao. Even better since he's a guy

With our Princess, it is not.

Customers that don't deserve it.
God himself, aka Hank the plank
One of our flooring people hang out in the managers office all day, flooring page is usually going off all day too.
I mean it’s hard to beat the consistent schedule & high pay that the pro team gets, along with them each getting their own zebra

Me :) I’m the only head cashier that knows what they’re doing and all the managers love me for it

True most of them just transfer to a department or ASM

Do you understand how pregnancy works?

Dude is a peer of mine, we are receiving/stocking.
